The last 100 years China was in turmoil, Tibet was neglected but nevertheless there is nothing there to justify that Tibet somehow suddenly became a independent country. Now, Chinese government suppresses the pro independence movement in tibet, that's another issue, but Tibet was never an independent nation in history at all.

i went a few weeks ago. bloody froze my balls off in beijing with a light coat on! can't think of anything good to say about the place apart from i loved it and want to go back. i'm seriously looking at a re-visit in april.

haha, since Beijing is located in the interior China, its climate is so extreme... may be April is a relatively good time for visiting.. I remember last time I visited Bejing was in August.. The weather was so extremely hot (have never felt such hot in my life) and humid which almost suffocates me.. I guess I almost got a sunstroke at the moment lol~

Forbidden City date from Ming Dynasty,it was built on the ancient ruins of the capital of Yuan Dynasty,they are Han Chinese person or people. AND Manchu and MongoljEn and other ethnic minorities are also Chinese,we are one family.

The Forbidden City looks so amazing. I've always wanted to go there. I just learned in my East Asian History class that Emperor Yongle during the Ming Dynasty was the one who had it built.

no, USMCR, the Dynasty was called Ming, Yongle was the name that refer to the period of time of the dynasty under the the reign of the Yongle emperor, whose name was Zhu Di. the word Yongle is like the word Victorian, it was an era, not a dynasty.
