Folks, if you think Legalizing drugs will stop Organized Crime, your wrong. They have their in hands in all sorts Criminal Activities, examples: Home-Invasions, contract killing, child pornography, prostitution, rackateering, extortion, illegal gambling, human trafficking ( And I don't mean just prostitution when I say that) and all sorts of Fraud. Legalizing drugs wont stop organized crime & gangs. why can't people understand that?

All you "Legalize Drugs" people out there just are not listening, it's like you don't understand reality. I was a junkie, hooked on heroin for 6 years. Apart from buying the drug, I didn't commit one crime.

The vast majority of drug users are middle class, and do not steal to get their drugs - they just ruin theirs and their families lives.

Your apparent desperation to shield yourself from reality will apparently have you believe whatever you're told by prohibitionists, as long as it suits your bizarre righteousness.

I scoff at the idea, how do you regulate crack-cocaine? Or parties drugs like MDMA or ecstacy, its pure junk, thats why it is such a good high. They actually put holes in your brain (E & MDMA). They are called "Tweakers" because they tweak out, crackheads are the worst but heroin junkies can get paranoid and aggressive too. I have been attacked by them so so many times..........

Brian is right on. I'm an older dude. I still smoke weed now and then and have been since the 70's. I handle oxycontin, celebrex, and cymbalta on a daily basis. I administer these to my Mother who has Alzheimers. I have no interest in "trying" these at all. My point is that Brian is correct in that legal or not those who want to will, and those who don't won't. He makes a very intelligent and correct point. You simply cannot stop a demand by making something illegal.
