Tornado Worlds Yacht Racing Wipe Out

Looks like the CITYBANK cat was trying to avoid hitting that mono-hull that was crossing their path at the end of the video.

I was at Cat Fights in Mission Bay in San Diego Ca, and we had up to 40 knot gusts, with 25-30 sustained. we flipped over before the first race, and lost to Pete Melvin, he won Worlds in A Cats a few years back. i also raced against the glazerz. Silver medalists in the Olympics in Tornado sailing they were out on a hobie F18 Tiger, it was pretty crazy weekend.

we had a tornado in the 70's - awesome ride - note the guys jumping to the rear when shes going over -smart guys and they are saving money ! last year we flipped our A scow and a guy fell into the sail and ripped it ..$500 to sew it up

Easing the sheets would have worked better than jumping off! Took a long time to recover the first time they let the jib luff though.

Besides the bloke towin' on water skis, I especially like the bailout at the end where the helm comes clean, and the crew gets snagged by his own trapeze; then left to dangle there.
