We didnt remap the factory ECU... not possible. We used an EMS Stinger V4 as a piggy back to control timing and fuel. EMS have a base map for the QG18GE however the map was designed for the series 1 QG18. My tuner re-wrote the map to suit the series 2 QG18.
If your tuner doesn't have the knowledge on how to do this, you can get away with using an Apexi AFC Neo or similar to tune the fuel however you wont be able to tune the timing which will mean less power but its the cheapest alternative.
A friend have the same engine. I would like some infos. first of alla how did you manage to remap the ECU? and if you could i would like a full list of that is absolutely nessesary to tune this engine.

The biggest restriction in the QG18DE is the factory manifold and exhaust...
- 4 to 1 headers
- 2 1/4" full exhaust
- CAI
- 98RON fuel
- APEXi AFC Neo
- Tune
Should see approx 70-80fw/kw

i have the same engine i think in the S1, the 1.8L, got a new pannel filter for it, any other easy suggested engine mods help develop more power?

Nice work, over double the power from stock. Fairly nice sound too.
