Interstate 787 south through Albany, New York

787 never should have ben built. it cut the city off from the river. very poor urban planning.

Looking on a satellite view, the bridge to the East of that circle stack interchange has a stump on the other side of the river, where some road was meant to be. Any ideas?

I've checked a few sites, and this stub was supposed to connect a planned South Mall expressway with I-90 at exit 8. Serious stuff.

I like Albany, its better than where I live.

I lived in albany from 1980 to 1985 and whenever I visit the city, I start to feel nostalgic for my infant/childhood days.

Although I like big cities like NYC or LA better I do miss Albany a lot.
