  • Ah ha! There it is. That universal property of tensor products! (n.b. I think you may want to clarify that elementary tensors do *not* form a basis for the tensor product.) I am very impressed by you energy and clarity. So, please, do the community a favor and tell us what a tensor product really is! Again, try taking the tensor of two very elementary matrices.

  • @ade678 What do you mean? The elementary tensors do form a basis for the tensor product; although not every tensor can be written as an elementary tensor. Or am I getting confused here?
