i was doing a bit of reasearch like reading up and diagrams and stuff and i found that V=331m/s+0.6Tc V meaning the velocity of the wave of sound and Tc meaning the temprature,the 0.6 is just a constanant but at 0 degrees celcius sound travels at about 331m/s and air is faster than sound(i know i was baffled too)and the higher the degree the faster it gets and it moves fastest through steel(solid of course)but my point is that i thought he said that the rocket was traveling at the speed of sound

RyuDarragh, The back is much stronger, and already pushed into a 20,000 lb block of concrete. That kind of car basically uses the front end as a cushon to reduce whiplash and such (opposed to trucks, bricks on wheels to keep it alive). You'll lose your car, but not your face. Its different than trucks because of the target market, ie its for people worried about their family, not construction buisness or ranch.

@mrcheesman6: This had nothing to do with the type of vehicle. Even a hummers back end will move as energy is transferred in a front end collision with, oh, say, a semi. This was all to do with sheer speed and inertia. Look what the impact did to the 10 ton block of concrete and that 1 inch thick steel plate :P

This type of car has a front end designed to absorb energy so the driver wont. if the back was weakest, it would be crushed first, and than the front. Actually this would have looked cooler. They should have turned the car around, there would be less dust and more crunching.
