  • Ho, is this actually composed by Adorno? Really?

  • @turpinaime

yes, I think he composed all throughout his life from about the age of 16, but never sold himself as a composer.

  • Ere this I should have fatted all the region kites with this slave's offal: bloody, bawdy villain! Remorseless, treacherous, lecherous, kindless villain! O, vengeance!

  • very nice, i actually like this style better than his even more schönberg-like compositions. in this i sense much of the flow that some pieces of ravel convey, whereas the tonal structure rather tends to that of shostakovich, as i may think.

    thank you for uploading

  • Very conservative for its time. Ironical that he spent so much time berating Stravinsky in the way he did and produced nothing but "Kitsch" himself.

  • @egapnala65 Well, this quartet is from 1921 and Adorno was born in 1903, so it's not like he was trying to set an example for Stravinsky here. Besides, this is hardly kitsch any way you look at it (not saying it's great either, but it's certainly not bad for an 18 year old without any previous training in composition -- he went to study with Berg two or so years later).

  • I love this! Thanks for the upload

  • Thank you...

    Greetings from Brasil!!!
