It's one of the few games as a kid I was never able to finish.

Would always end up at either Bloody Swamp or Hills of Illusion. Could never beat those as a kid and this was long before I knew about the 100k points trip.

Although the game has more than 100 levels, you never go to all of then, it depends if you get to the flag or find a hidden warp, you could warp a few levels forward, or play more levels...

This level is called Forced Entry

it's impossible to finish this level with the Juggernaut because you can't enter in the hole that drives you to the flag

That game was SINISTER!!!! It was so amazingly long, and there were no passwords or anything. After awhile I started feeling claustrophobic as well as delirious. I just wanted to get out, but it wouldn't let me go!! They don't make games this punishing anymore.

Considering all the elsewhere's, is it even possible to beat this game without warping? Over my break from grad school, I'm certainly going to try it. Greatest SEGA by far. The only Nintendo games that even compete with it are Mario's 2 and 3 and Rygar.

I believe some levels that you access from normal completion of a level only have warps, so I think that's impossible.

if they do update it, the only thing they can do to make it easier without ruining it is to put in a save function.

its very difficult to get extra lives. Collecting diamons is important, as tha maniaxe can use diamonds to gain a 1-up.

I could do it in about 2 hours when i had a working Genesis. No warping, no cheating, no Genie. Getting extra lives is very easy, there are dozens of 1-up's around.
