Way cool. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Quite a testament to the PC12 and its PT6 engine too, especially crossing the Pacific. Speaking of, did you have to add any extra fuel tanks for the long legs?
lucky and privileged you guys that have the posibility to do this kind of trip and congrats from this mexican pilot thats currently living in the US!! this is what Ive always dream to do so especially in a PC-12 what a great airplane!! im sure it was something you all will never forget if you ever know of some one needing a pilot to join a trip like this let me know!
How much did all this cost in the end (gas, maintenance, etc) in the end? Just curious. It looks really fun and I've always wanted to do something like this with my friends.
they are supposed to LOVE their king, so it seems that someone came up with the idea to put it on the back of a shirt. you can buy that anywhere in bangkok, also caps etc.
Hi, very well done. Must have been a slog at the end with so much flying. Very relentless flying. The music really sets it off well. Could you tell me the artist and track? Many thanks. To heck with the sailboat.
I loved PNG for its brutal nature and simple life style. Brazil is also a very nice country, a little bit out of control though. Thailand was not very special to me, but food is great there.
Great pics! I'm a pilot and a photographer... photographer for a living and pilot for fun. So enjoyed the slide show! A real dream!

Whats the deal with the "Serious Danger" at the beginning with the newspaper? I assume your trip is the subject of the story.
Is there a link to the story online?

What country/place was the best?
dnq3 2 years ago
i loved papua new guinea and brazil. and new caledonia is a great place to be.
tomsolomedia 2 years ago
These are all Estimates, assuming that they own the plane, which costs around 4 million dollars:
60000 kilometers = 35000 knots ...
35000kts / 250kts per hour = 130 flight hours ...
130 hours x 60 gallons per hour = 8000 gallons of JetA fuel ...
8000 gallons x 6 dollars per gallon = Around 50,000 dollars ...
Add onto that $50,000 the cost of pilots, insurance, maintenance, etc and the entire cost was prob around $100,000.
Then you also have to figure in costs of hotels.
Rippy0870 2 years ago
@Rippy0870: landing fees, flight plans, cost of fuel also very different, especially in the pacifics
