  • Im 15 years old and i love this music i hate pop because its all done with computers but bands like molly hatchet and skynyrd and eric clapton and so many other classic rock artist where real musicians.

  • '..seems-to-me-that's-a-one-hell-of-a-way-for-a-man-like-me- to-earn-that pay..' The meter of that line, the way DJB sings it is just beyond cool. Awesome song.

  • This song defines the term 'badass'! :)

  • Southern jackhammer boogie! Hell yeah!

  • love that down south berr drinking shit im 55

  • ...greatest heavy southern rock from the three devilish guitars - Dave, Duane & Steve - what a hell of a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!

Rest In Peace Danny Joe Brown, You were the essence of Molly Hatchet.

By the way, I'm 18 years old

  • Pure turbo charge. I could listen to it ten times every day and not get bored of it.

  • Saw em in concert :->

  • Best song MH made and a song I have never gotten tired of even after what might be 1,000's of rotations on my turntable, cassette deck and now CD player.

  • still have the vinyl

  • so do I,got it in '78. Played it once to copy it to C90 cos that's what my car could play. cruisin' the 70's with Molly and Joe Walsh and Bob Seeger.

I'm a fat bald old git now.

But in my day I been there and MADE the T shirt.

  • Yea! I bought this new back then. Was amazed by the sound!

  • Hatchet! 1978

  • This is Rock! This is Molly Hatchet in 1978. Bannner on bass line -Bruce on drums-Steve actually plays lead with duane and dave

  • damn there's alot of haters on here. i like all types of shit, even when it comes to music. rock, techno, rap ,r&b, southern rock, metal, screamo. it's all good. just chill and enjoy the music instead of hatin on every other type of style you dislike. just because you dont like somethin doesnt mean its automatically wrong.

  • I agree(:

  • amen

  • @Freakshow572 Theirs to many haters all over Youtube. I'm never one to back down from anyone but the hate gets old. My theory is they have no life, Masturbation has lost its thrill for them.. even the strange hand no longer works for them... Back to Molly Hatchet.. I was lucky enough to see them about 10 times back in the late 70's Once saw Danny Joe walk over to the side of the stage and puke his guts out.. Pittsburgh civic arena 1978. Wiped his face and went right back to singing.

  • @Freakshow572 Great point man, I am repulsed by screamo, techno, and rap, but I ain't gonna be the loser sitting bashing it. People like what they like and if everybody liked the same stuff it would be a pretty boring world.

  • @Freakshow572 nice job

  • Too bad Dog didn't pick this as his theme tune instead of that stupid shit he has now!

  • oo i thought it was runescape

  • well that s way diff but hay this soung goes with bh on runescape

  • i love it when a molly hatchet song comes on the radio when you are driving down the road. it makes you want to nail the gas

  • Banners bass line on this song frickin ROCKS

  • is Danny Joe Brown dead???

  • Yes, Unfortunately.

He has been diagnosed with diabetes since he was 19.

  • Molly Hatchet was the shit, when they came out everyone was convinced they were going to be the new Lynyrd Skynyrd, but they didn't last very long. The Frazetta covers were the coolest, what that did for his Death Dealer painting/character! It's a shame, top-notch Southern Rock; one tight unit with a great singer. RIP Danny Joe Brown. :(

  • awesome kick ass song.....i'm only 18 but i'd rather southern rock than the new.....shit they call music!

  • Heh, yeah go old music.. Fuck rap and techno! I started listning to old time rock when i was 10

  • @swedencreme Right on Dude! I like seeing the younger people dig this stuff.. I was 18 in 79 when this shit was Da Bomb!

  • That's totally cool,Both of my sons love the old classic rock and roll,It seems to be pretty common that a lot of young people enjoy the older music

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, The Outlaws,These guys, etc. God, southern rock KICKS ASS. These newer bands should take notes from these guys on how it's done right, not that screaming bullshit they do now adays !

  • no shit if rock bands played like this still then maybe rock wouldn't be getting choked out

  • I totally agree! I wish I was around when the original Skynyrd was. I cannot stand the stuff my generation is into, screamo, emo, rap, ugh, it disgusts me!

  • You should create something new.

  • @Ginzzo60

why you got to hate on screams? im a vocalists who screams and growls.. but my dad drilled southern rock in me at an early age and i consider it to be my true roots.

  • @Ginzzo60

Skynyrd are far superior to the other bands you mention there.

  • This song is very anti-bounty hunter. Dog would be hurt. Then again who cares?

  • awesome band, awesome song

  • Anybody got a Whiskey Man video with Danny?

  • I worked as a bounty hunter for a while.

    Great song!

  • I saw Molly Hatchett back in the day three times. What a kik ass southern rock band. Awsome!!!

  • Finally somebody put this video up!!!! YEAH!!!!

  • somebody needs to put whisky man by molly hatchet on here i tell you what

  • Does anyone have a video of hatchet when Eric Lundgren was playing guitar with them...thanks

  • Great Southern-Fried Rock!!!!! R.I.P.~Danny Joe Brown. I remember seeing them in 79, and they reminded me alot of Lynyrd Skynyrd.... of course, there was only 1 Skynyrd, but, these Boys kicked ass......

  • Molly Hatchet ftw, nothing more needs to be said.

  • listen to banner- great bass riff- Hatchet frickin rocks

  • Molly Hatchet...OH Yeah... Memories at Uconn, late 70's. Blew a woofer jammin out to this song after a quarter keg on the 4th floor of Jefferson House....Those were awesome times. Southern Rock Rules !!

  • HELL YEA!

    I LOVE SOUTHERN ROCK

  • Damn sounds sweet wish we can get some high quality vids from these guys they deserve it, man i grew up with this stuff wish i had a camera when i went to see them live, it would be on here GATOR COUNTRY anyone got a cool video of that, Rock on Southern Boys RIP DJB

  • Thanks for posting this tune. I've been looking for it on youtube, but what I've found has been of poor sound quality or a cover. I'm not a huge MH fan (I don't have any albums), but heard this on my local radio station's "no repeat week" and loved it. Oh, and who doesn't love "Dreams I'll Never See"? If you don't enjoy that one, I'd recommend you get psychiatric help. I'll be exploring more of MH's catalog, and probably pick up an album or two. Anyone recommend one or two in particular?

  • the self-titled debut release & the 3rd one..Beatin' The Odds are 2 early favs.....

  • YEAH!!!!!! hell yes ive been lookin for more molly hatchet on youtube!
