17 year old north of jax fl is one bad ass drummer up and coming,,CHECH OUT ANTLER ANNIHILATION BAND ON FACE BOOK ,,THIS KID IS BAD SAW HIM LIVE AND BLEW MY MIND AND ALL 100 OTHER PEPS IN THIS LITTLE BAR ON THE BEACH IN FL
i was in a cover band in jersey.southern rock my favorite flavor..hatchet was always what i looked foward to playing, trying to copy...god,,i can feel it now like i did then. this music and this man, danny joe brown ,will always make me smile...thanks,danny
Im 15 years old and i love this music i hate pop because its all done with computers but bands like molly hatchet and skynyrd and eric clapton and so many other classic rock artist where real musicians.
'..seems-to-me-that's-a-one-hell-of-a-way-for-a-man-like-me- to-earn-that pay..' The meter of that line, the way DJB sings it is just beyond cool. Awesome song.
i seen the danny joe brown band perform in bars ok i wasnt molley hatchet per say but damn what an show heres to ya danny your gone but your song remains thats taken from your own words in yur tribute to ronny vanzant rock on bro rock on
i get to see banner thomas all the time here in jax,he has ill will to the old manager seems like to me,heard he stole all their money and also the name,i think banner personally lost 8 mill, sad sad sad,but my band just learned this this week and it rocks!!!!!
Best song MH made and a song I have never gotten tired of even after what might be 1,000's of rotations on my turntable, cassette deck and now CD player.
damn there's alot of haters on here. i like all types of shit, even when it comes to music. rock, techno, rap ,r&b, southern rock, metal, screamo. it's all good. just chill and enjoy the music instead of hatin on every other type of style you dislike. just because you dont like somethin doesnt mean its automatically wrong.
@Freakshow572 Theirs to many haters all over Youtube. I'm never one to back down from anyone but the hate gets old. My theory is they have no life, Masturbation has lost its thrill for them.. even the strange hand no longer works for them... Back to Molly Hatchet.. I was lucky enough to see them about 10 times back in the late 70's Once saw Danny Joe walk over to the side of the stage and puke his guts out.. Pittsburgh civic arena 1978. Wiped his face and went right back to singing.
@Freakshow572 Great point man, I am repulsed by screamo, techno, and rap, but I ain't gonna be the loser sitting bashing it. People like what they like and if everybody liked the same stuff it would be a pretty boring world.
Molly Hatchet was the shit, when they came out everyone was convinced they were going to be the new Lynyrd Skynyrd, but they didn't last very long. The Frazetta covers were the coolest, what that did for his Death Dealer painting/character! It's a shame, top-notch Southern Rock; one tight unit with a great singer. RIP Danny Joe Brown. :(
Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, The Outlaws,These guys, etc. God, southern rock KICKS ASS. These newer bands should take notes from these guys on how it's done right, not that screaming bullshit they do now adays !
I totally agree! I wish I was around when the original Skynyrd was. I cannot stand the stuff my generation is into, screamo, emo, rap, ugh, it disgusts me!
why you got to hate on screams? im a vocalists who screams and growls.. but my dad drilled southern rock in me at an early age and i consider it to be my true roots.
Great Southern-Fried Rock!!!!! R.I.P.~Danny Joe Brown. I remember seeing them in 79, and they reminded me alot of Lynyrd Skynyrd.... of course, there was only 1 Skynyrd, but, these Boys kicked ass......
Molly Hatchet...OH Yeah... Memories at Uconn, late 70's. Blew a woofer jammin out to this song after a quarter keg on the 4th floor of Jefferson House....Those were awesome times. Southern Rock Rules !!
Damn sounds sweet wish we can get some high quality vids from these guys they deserve it, man i grew up with this stuff wish i had a camera when i went to see them live, it would be on here GATOR COUNTRY anyone got a cool video of that, Rock on Southern Boys RIP DJB
Thanks for posting this tune. I've been looking for it on youtube, but what I've found has been of poor sound quality or a cover. I'm not a huge MH fan (I don't have any albums), but heard this on my local radio station's "no repeat week" and loved it. Oh, and who doesn't love "Dreams I'll Never See"? If you don't enjoy that one, I'd recommend you get psychiatric help. I'll be exploring more of MH's catalog, and probably pick up an album or two. Anyone recommend one or two in particular?
Excellent song. Saw Molly Hatchet around 1981 in Pittsburgh when they opened for the Outlaws. My favorite is "Dreams I'll Never See." Check it out.
