  • I just sold one recently. A great guitar but hard to sell! People still go for a big name like Gibson so the Yamaha will never increase in value or not by much. They are nicer than production line Gibson for sure but not the Historic (which costs 2.5 x times as much! ouch!) I had sold SA2200 at loss but replaced it with Collings i35 LC which is better built and easier to play due to smaller body and will definitely hold its value better than the Yamaha.

  • Sorry, i dont know - ciao

  • hey could you tell me the name of the song you are playing please?

  • I had a Yamaha SA-2000. I have read several well regaurded experts who have said the SA-2000 was the best semi-hollow body ever built. I've plaid 335's, 2200's, etc. The SA-2000 was the best guitar Yamaha says it ever made. They wanted to compete with the 335, tore one apart and improved on everything. I couldn't play it well because it was too big for me. I'm really angry because the value of these things is skyrocketing every year. If you have one Keep it, even if you don't play it.

  • @Highhillcountry Yes, when I play i always feel a professional tool. But I thought its value, unlike the Gibson 335, did not increase over time. However, I am not a collector and I feel good. Ciao.

  • @MrPonedipone The value will go up on these in the near future. Word is finally starting to get out about them like it did on the Weddingtons a few years ago. Fabulous guitars. I bought a brand new one when they first came out and dearly wish I still had it.

  • Hi, many thanks. Ciao.

  • beautyful

  • video is done with a small Nikon Coolpix.... certainly not the best

  • Nicer tone and better playability on the Yamaha SA2200. I own both the SA2200 and a 2009 Gibson ES335 figured top. Yamaha also has coil tapping for each pickup and an ebony fingerboard. Great guitar.

  • neck/playability is the same

  • Nice playing,

Which do you prefer, the Yamaha or the 335?

Nice sound and versatility on the Yamaha, but what is the neck/playability like?
