  • thank you Dr. Adhiraj .... please INDIAN people. SPREAD this video on facebook or twitter or other social website. there are lot of facts in this video that 90% of indians dont know and after watching this video many of them learn driving properly including me. Thunbs up if you agree with me.

  • This should be printed 1'000'000'000 times and sent all over the world !!!

  • good message, its worth doing the IAM course, even if it saved one accident its worth it.

  • IRT in India showed me how poeple drive in India. Most of them would be cited by police here in the USA. In India, people's attitude tooward driving. is Me first and live to tell about it is good enough. If nobody dies then its legal.

  • this presentation should be shown to the drivers of the blue line buses in New Delhi..labeled as "killer Line" while driving at night, dont use high beams, avoid drunk driving. while driving for more than 5 yrs in delhi i have witnessed that if u avoid a head on collision with a vehicle upfront, there is a fare chance that some1 will hit u on ur ass. i m fed up of un usual and unnecessary honking..

  • hello sir. i think this message should be especially delivered to the black and yellow cab drivers in the streets of mumbai. i just pray to god that i reach my destination alive when i travel by these cabs.

  • we have a 3second rule in germany but when on autobahn its 4seconds. (makes sense anyway coz there are no speed limits in some places!!)

  • Nice highways... 2:15 to 2:26 only if all of India was like that!

  • In Australia the distance travelling behind a vehicle is 3 seconds. Behind heavy vehicles, 5 seconds. I tend to stay 3 - 5 seconds behind any vehicle. If I'm travelling behind heavier vehicles, then I increase my distance to 4 - 7 seconds. It's all about being cautious, safe driving and staying alive.

  • yh i hate wen people talegate me it automatically make me drive faster then usaall

  • @freestyler120kg its soo true ... happens to all the time ... even if i was driving at 130km/h,the keep flashing the light to me ... so i have to put more gas ... ~_~

  • excellent! only a fool breaks the 2 second rule!

  • @joozyfrut Then change that to the 3 second rule like most other countries.

  • Very good info .... Thanks

  • ..because of this traffic sometimes was almost impossible for me to cross the street... I always have to catch the hand of my friends and ruuunnnn! unforgettable ... anyhow people in India are really nice, I miss India...

  • Right of Way seems to an Issue in India.

  • thx for the 2 sencond rule

  • In the last season of "Canada's Worst Driver" there was an engineer who'd moved here from India. The fact he had a license from India got him one here but the extent of his drive testing in India was that he could turn the car on. By the time you get your full license here you've had about an hour and a half of in car testing split between two tests as well as a written exam before you even get that far.

Loved the bit at the end though, some pedestrians seem to think cars stop on a dime...

  • In India people buy a driving licence, not obtain it through their driving skills & presence of mind.

  • We have 2 second rule in Australia. I think this is a good education not just for Indian drivers, but for all drivers on their safety and it is good for reinforcing good driving principles which are global.

  • The DMV here in the States should make every driver view this video when obtaining a license and at time of renewal of license!

    Such great video!

  • The DMV here in the States should make every driver view this video when obtaining a license and at time of renewal of license!

    Such great video!

  • educational

  • this is a great msg, i respect that you took the time to put this up

  • i second that, i am from texas i had to drive to houston couple times

  • Great message............... and nicely done

  • very nice lesson

  • The driving culture in India is crazy, not only there, but India is an good example. Here in Germany there are also some stupid drivers, but at all its chilled on the streets. In India I was always afraid of dying. :D

  • @DieletztePatrone I agree (Autobahn is the best!!! )

  • thanks i learnesd

  • Tailgating is commen use by trucks.

Had job once as truckdriver trough europe.

But you have to stay on the radio in touch with the driver in front, at least every 10-15 min. if he sounds tired or signals heavy traffic ahead, you pull off his tail. I saved a lot of diesel, i didt have to give so much throttle while laying back there, cause i had no wind to break.

I saved aprox 6500 liters (calculated on 4 years compared to other trucks in the company) got 1 fine for it. 350 bad euros.

  • Haha come to Mexico, You can see that here in MEXICO CITY the things are worst!

We have a bad driving culture, we put our speed limits! =(

  • In Indonesian as well I think in Indian traffic there is tailgating but no chain crashes. Its because they drive like fish school. If the next one suddenly stops you can go to the hard shoulder or between the lines above the lane line. Or its not uncommon people dont hestitateto drive over the shoulder grass. In North Europe people are used to drive like the train on the rails. In the case of emergency they just try to make car to stop before the next one instead to go between or to the shoulder

  • people dont stick to speed limits in UK plus tailgaiting is normal here..causing people to speed up and start racing each other. Even the crummy police dont stick to speed limit..I need to film there driving its a joke...my mate saw one swing in and out of lanes in London without a siren on.. He was behaving like a boyracer.

i saw one doing 50 in a 30 squeezing between oncoming traffic and parked cars..my mate was tryna keep up but they were just too quick and taking too much risks.

  • How about actually teaching people how to drive and then correlating the statistics?Speed in and of itself doesn't kill; stupidity does. Speed is just a coefficient.

  • i guess the point is you can't teach every person to be an ideal driver so just reduce the probability of accident by reducing the speed

  • Yea, drivers in Houston TX are terribly bad as well. Dallas and other cities down here aren't quite as bad, but Houston drivers can be terrifying.

Advice to anyone not used to city driving.

**If you're the first person to go after a light turning green, make SURE people driving on the intersecting road are stopping or are stopped.**

I've seen several accidents happen right after a light turned green and some fool ran a red light on the intersecting road; and one car side swiped another.

  • when people tailgate me i just do a burnout for em when we hit a stop or get sidewayz to scare em alil..

  • good job. this pretty much sums up a weeks worth of drivers ed class. we need to fix the American education system. anyway, well done.

  • I would slow down and not let the tailgater pass b/c if they are in a hurry then they should have the knowledge to go to the next lane!

  • i hate it when people tail gate me. stresses me. i just pull off the road and let em pass

  • That's a really good thing to do! I mean let them pass. That's what they want. They are just want to drive faster then you do. Some people feeleng bad when overtaken by others, and braking suddenly to scare off the one behind, risking an accident. Idiots.

  • My dad does the last one. It really annoys me. Luckily, I'm starting to drive now and im in control of my own vehicle!

  • how about being tailgaited at 60mph? ye happened to me many times.

  • lol 2 month old comment :D I've had this too, people are too stupid sometimes.

  • I hope more and more Indians notice your good work and take some lessons.

  • I have only driven in India once, it scared me nearly to death. If only watching this was mandatory many lives could be saved.

  • Great information! And great video!

Although if I signal left on our Danish roads, and then pull into the slow lane (on my right), I'll probably be killed :)

Remember that this video is made for countries driving on the left side of the road, and compensate accordingly throughout the information. Speed limits aren't the same in all countries, but the 2-second rule ALWAYS APPLIES! Even better if you follow the 3- or 4-second rule :)

  • Hmmm.If only this spotwere to be shown in queens n.y.!!!

  • Good work!

For all I know, this may have saved my life!

    Keep it up!

  • Really a very good work!!!

I hope some persons will get better if not all.

  • Good work bud ... hope to see Indian drivers improve one day.

  • nice job here mate. hopefully it will educate some of us.

  • thats for sure, I was debating with another fellow Indian who thinks that people just need to stop criticizing Indian driving because its fine the way it is. I was shocked in silence.

  • very important rule 1 second may be the difference between life & death

  • i also learnt the 3 sec rule in sweden..anyways!! important is to keep the distance and avoid tailgating at any time.. good video !!

  • Great service in sharing this life-saving info.

  • good video

  • Very good video!

  • well done mate

  • Nice video, people from India, Pakistan and other Asian countries need to learn learn how to drive!

  • I always learned the rule was 3 secs for cars and 4 secs for trucks and buses...

I the rush hours the fact more looks like 0.3 and 0.4 secs though...

  • It is a good video however it only applies in some countries. For example in Russia it certainly is not required to adhere to any of the rules and techniques mentioned in this video, although it is much safer if drivers are disciplined an patient.

  • Everyone is tailgaiting in Greece, even in the left lane even with overpassed speed limit...

  • i slow down when ppl tailgate me

  • And one thing you should always do when you slow down; move to the slow lane!! Most people tailgate because the person in front is going at a slow speed in the fast lane, and don't say that you're already at speed limit, the drivers' manual of VA, USA says that you should move to slower lane if others around you are going faster, no mention of speed limit here (and I'm sure so is the case with other drivers' manuals).

  • We have 2 second rule in Australia. I think this is a good education not just for Indian drivers, but for all drivers on their safety and it is good for reinforcing good driving principles which are global.

  • Finally, they are addressing this problem. Is this driver education? Have they started educating the population? Has anything changed? This is a good video. Find more please, this applies to Australia as well the 2 second rule and tail gating.

  • nice vid

  • Most people dont obey seperation rules for stopping distances. The problems also that their isnt enough room on the roads for all these huge cars. ALot of tail gaiting seems to go on in the usa.

  • hey people in the u.s. need to follow these rules

    especially old people

  • Email this to someone in India with the request to pass it on to others. Hopefully if enough people see this in India, it could effect a change.

  • I agree all main roads should have speed limits.. but in US even on completely empty deserted roads.. the cops bust you for crossing the speed... it is ridiculous.

  • Hey man thanks for your contribution. Its very useful.
