@swepels Come on mate, she's speaking a second language about a topic which has to be made absolutely clear to those MEPs bothered enough to turn up to the chamber.

Personally I would not object to her saying these things in Spanish and get the EU to translate it (after all they already have to translate this into Spanish anyway), it would look good for UKIP to show they have wider European support, and it would allow Sra Andreason to, perhaps, speak more passionately.

@Holymowlam But her force and emphases are perfect, not flamboyant, not hesitant, but well-controlled. (If you don't watch the picture--in the chamber she must appear a small figure, at a considerable distance from speakers--it is not apparent that she has a text to prompt her.) Why don't they take notice, and admit the impropriety? There's only one answer.

@sfwhitaker Sra Andreasen is excellent, her English is good too but she does seem slightly restrained, perhaps because she says these things in English. I just wanted to say that I hope she isn't speaking in English for our benefit (although she does represent the people of the South-West England, so perhaps it is proper that she speaks in English). No matter really though, I'm just proud of UKIP that she is back in Brussells doing her extraordinarily important job.

Brilliant Marta Andreasen, I love this woman.... She should be the highest paid female politician in the world, inspirational Ms Andreasen
