Searched for this after listening to an interview on American public radio with Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the director who worked on "Ready Steady" early in his career and went on to shoot "Let It Be," "The Rolling Stones' Rock & Roll Circus," etc. He talked about how innovative this show was in terms of its multiple camera angles, creative editing and lighting, live (not lip-synced) performances, etc., compared to similar shows of the era. This is the grandfather of MTV, right here.
