  • has to grab nuts????

  • Yeh, it would look that way. However it was the gesture not the act which caused the reaction by the audience. Thanks for the post. I am suspect many people thought as you did.

  • If you like this, please check out the film I made while traveling in Florence this past summer. E una bella citta!!

  • lol sadly it seems that I would probably fall for one of those mimes. Man he is fit!

  • Happy new year AL ! ! !

  • i took a picture with the first dude (golden dude with the flower) and the mime :D

they were the nicest ones, so my friends and I were willing to spend money

  • Thanks for the post. Glad you gave them a few Euros ... Its a lot of work to stand there and/or perform each day.

  • saw this guy in florence too. most of the mime statues wanted money if i took a picture of them

  • Yeh, I guess I would want a few euros for standing out there all day. I guess they make good money, otherwise why would they be there.

  • Very Nice. 5*

  • Thank you. Luigi, the mime is a great person.

  • yah mimes are cool, but if luigi is the last one, hes not that good person u know!?

if some randoom mime comes and slaps my nuts i'd at least give him one good damn punch! i mean wtf!

    otherwise they are cool :D

  • Hi John, well I guess you had to be there to get the full impact. I would guess it was simply a slap at the slacks and nothing more.

  • the mimes are good people...i took pictures with them last year in florence but they rarely talk...the first ones in the video are pretty cool

  • i always wanted to be a mime

  • Well no time like the present ... you just can't talk about it.

  • This guy scared me...not long a go....

  • Yup, I can see how that can happen especially if he comes at you from behind. I hope it all worked out okay.

  • HE WAS GREAT AT THE END

  • cause there was a lot of people, but you definately made a impression to last a life time for me......Respect from ESTONIA...like they say in my country "Sa oled parim" (ingl. "You are the best")....:)

  • I went to Frienze 5 days ago, that means, that i was there on the 16th of September 2008, and the brilliant mime was also on the corner of Piazze Signorina...gReY, if you remember, then, I was a boy with the white-black-gray hat boy, who put money into your shirts cheast pocket, tooked a picture of you and a older gentleman, and sat a while in the middle of the squere, cause my damn camera didn't get the zoom right, it was around 18.30, in the evening.Put if you don't remember, it's ok....

  • Thanks bello, thanks for coming and remember me! See you next time in the world!!

  • hes touched his privates LOL

  • I was in Florence a couple of weeks and I saw this guy,he was great! So funny and inventive.People were gathered around him laughing and they didnt want to go away..I loved everything about this city..Those who live there are very lucky.

  • Yes he is neat. I spent 2 weeks at school in Florence and met him a few times. Thanks for your post.

  • He reminds me of Charlie Chaplin....

  • luv that right in the city of florence........

  • Hi. I am glad it made your day. Luigi is a class act and a nice fellow. I hope to get back to Florence and visit him again. By the way, he teaches mime.

  • Oh I can't wait!! I'm going to Florence for 5 weeks to study italian

  • Lucky you. I only went for 2 weeks to language school. Boy was I over my head ... but it was a fun experience. Have a great time. If you meet Luigi, please say hello from Al the videographer.

  • Really cool!! Thanks for posting. I'm going to italy in may, but probably only to rome and venice because i don't have enough time. have a great day

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. Rome is a great place and May will be a good time before the onslaught of Summer tourists. All of Rome is a museum ... eat well an enjoy.

  • Thanks, have a good day

  • I saw all of this while on vacation there 2 years ago. The mime was hilarious & I could have watched him for hours. I liked to watch him sneak up behind couples holding hands & join in between them. I encourage every one to visit Italy!

  • Thanks for your comment. I spent two weeks there at language school. Luigi (the mime) and I got to know each other. You can read some of his comments below.

  • this video is so funny, I have gained great inspiration for public mime antics from this....

  • Thank you for your comment. I use to sit in the piazza and do my homework and watch the mimes. They certainly raise it to a new art form.

  • Hi Luigi, Glad to hear from you again. It has been a long time. Hope all is well. Alfredo, il studente di Firenze.

  • WOW in August 2007 i was there and that Angel guy is still there

  • I guess he likes it there. This video was taken in September 2005 when I was at Italian language school.

  • Come to think of it so was the Sphinx Guy - He is boring!

  • I really appreciate people who do this, because, they can stand in the sun for hours on end, and not move, just so they can entertain us...

    God Bless Them.

    <3

  • Entertaining they are and such good sports with the tourists. I suspect that in addition to their love of fun, they pick up a few Euros. I always leave some after I video them.

  • thanks for putting this up, it brings back my memories when i was there for a month of study abroad there the past summer. i lived right around there.

  • Thank you for your comment. I look forward to going back.

  • I love him.

  • He is an interesting person. We still correspond via email. You can see more of him at: teatrogrey dot com

  • ...yes. I appreciate the link...I must admit, I already googled him. He's brilliant, simply brilliant. I only wish I could see more of him performing.

  • these are the precursors to clowns

  • i wonder if any of these people pretending to be statues ever get pooped on by birds...haha...just wondering

  • That is an interesting thought. Actually we saw very few birds on statues of any kind.

  • Aww, I love him. Little anarchist.

  • lol perverted mime.

  • If a female mime did to me what that guy in the tie-dye shirt tried to do to those women, I'd give her a kiss she'd NEVER forget! ;-)
