  • Pelicans are garbage disposals!

  • YouTube has taught me that pelicans are JERKS.

  • good thing it didn't eat that huge of a turtle. probably die trying to crap out that huge shell.

  • Yeh they eat anything they can squeeze in there throat. Small tirtles have a hard time all over the world.

  • Gosh, when animals eat things that I'm not aware of is in their diet it creeps me out a little.

    I heard there's a video of a Pelican eating a Pigeon!

  • It was very unusual, I did wonder if they ever did swallow one at all, possibly very small ones.

I've seen the pigeon video, that was quite a shock and difficult to believe it was real.

  • hey would you know what type of terrapin is that? i only know of snake necks since i used to live in australia, but that looks different?..

  • Your an Aussie? gah cool! i have a few friends there. any who, the head looks like a Common Snapper. Also the way it strikes but I could be wrong.

  • @perpetualwandrer - yeaaaah lol nah i dont think we have common snappers here LMAO

  • No sir, those are in the Americas. I want your turtles tho... go fetch me a Mary's River turtle, and a Murray River turtle, and what ever else you can find. Even though the Mary's River turtle is government protected. =P

  • oh ahaha, yeah i used to have a Murray River Turtle, or was it a snake neck i think there the same, cant remember but it was vicious, it loved eating blood worms.

ahahah :) iv'e never heard of Mary's River Turtle, i think the short neck turtle i forgot the name though i dont think it was a pinkbelly though..

  • There are tons of species, its hard to keep track.

  • @perpetualwandrer - really didnt know there was that many, but i dont think there as much as the U.S Species.

  • @STERNOTH Hi STERNOTH, I must

admin I don't know. I used to keep Red

Eared Terrapins when younger and they

didn't look like those from what I could

    remember

  • @mptv - yeah red eared sliders are green i have one :)

  • @NatureonScreen

Animals will eat anything they can, especially when their main food, like fish, dwindle. The pelicans that have begun eating small birds or unprotected chicks in sea bird colonies are actually showing an increase in population thanks to the fact that their sheer size allows them to just swallow fair sized animals whole. This could be either awesome or terrifying.
