Review of debut Trí CD - Snapshot by Michael Holmes (of Dervish)
A version of this set is Track 3 on the CD
I am staggered by the CD. The maturity and ideas which carry through the whole body of the music single it out. There are some pieces on the album where they have more good ideas going on in one set than others have in whole albums. Im not kidding!
2 minutes 43 seconds before you start playing? Please! Stick to what you're good at- music. Well done, I must say! (I must admit I did not give your banter a chance- wasn't in the mood.)
brilliant set and just love the chat with the audience, i will buy your cd, , but i want a live one as well with all the jokes . you have a great future ahead thanks to all .. Ray
Fantastic band TRI, me and Bren have seen them live in Fleetwood, Traditional Folk music is safely being carried forward to the new generation with this superb threesome. well done TRI.
did you say Sonya's Carpet? I'm interested in the middle tune that starts out like Fahey's no. 1 and end's up sounding more like Sweeney's Wheel by Jackie Daly.
Absolutely lovely. Great sound and great interaction with the audience. I am very interested in purchasing one of their CDs but live in the US. How would I order one?
Nice to see some of the characcter coming out when they talk to the audience. Great playing as it always seems to be on this channel. What is the 2nd reel?
Music starts just after 2:42 :)

Excellent playing! It's great that Ciaran, Niamh and Neal (and others like them) are working so hard to keep traditional music alive!
