  • I like your video ...your hair is so healthy. Great tips

  • how long did u keep this hair in?

  • You have helth hair

  • now i know why some black girls have such strong arms lol that looks sooo tiring

  • your hairs comin out soo much because ur combing them from the root and not fromt the ends to the root..................... i got sholder lenght permed hair about 10in and im always wearin a weave for 2-3months an iv never had tht problem....................when u take ur weave out let ur hair rest breathe before u comb them out n ul see the different

  • r u indian and black

  • ummmm it took me 8 hours to take mine out!!! it was my first time and i did it by myself. i was scared id cut it! lol

  • ATEYAAA THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO. YOUR NATURAL HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL. NOW I KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO AFTER I TAKE MY SEW-IN OUT PROPERLY. I NEVER USED A BIG TOOTH COMB TO TAKE THE EXTRA HAIR OUT BEFORE WASHING. NO WONDER MY HAIR ALWAYS MATTED TOGETHER AFTER I WASHED IT. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO.

  • y do you get sew in's wen you have long hair ?

  • how long did youu have that in ?

  • So glad to see that you were able to take this hair out without any setbacks

  • I bought the At-one leave in conditioner and it's works wonders! Instantly!

  • GOOD JOB!!!!!

  • I love your hair its very straight!

  • Should you wait to get a new sew in after taking one out? I want to get a new one like right after the old one and need to know if I have to wait.

  • I had to cut my hair too because it had matted together. lol it was a disaster. @Ismoy1978 is right.. it helps if you use detangler and conditioner with combing out.

  • there has to be a better way.

  • what time did you finish?

  • How long can you keep a sew in? I am 2months exactly into my sew in, but I love it so much that I want to keep it in for another month!

  • have u had any issues ordering the indian hair from that site

  • hello Ateeya good vid.I don't know if you've heard this but a good and healthy way 2 detangle ur hair is 2 apply a detangler spray or conditioner 2 ur hair before u start and use a paddle brush instead of a comb 4 me @ least it works a lot better.

  • why do you have to wrap ur hair at night? so it doesn't tangle in ur sleep?

  • i DEFINITELY have ginger hair but i would so take the time to do this on anyone if i got arms like yours!!

check the biceps when you're combing it out! lol jealous

  • ME ENCANTA ATEYA PORQUE NO LE IMPORTA SALIR FEA Y CON ESAS GREÑAS,JEJEJE,ASI ESTAMOS TODAS ANTES DE ARREGLARNOS EL PELO,DESPUES ,ELLA LUCE FANTASTICA!!BUEEN TRABAJO,CHICA!!

  • Love your video's

  • man teya if you got to be making all those faces when you combing your hair you have to be mor e gentle....lol that looks like torture! But man you keepin' it real if we can see the good we should be able to see the bad ey?..lol so many years and you still going strong...CONGRATS on your success! Muah!

  • 6:37 ghetto girl pony tail!! lol

  • 6:23 you look like one of them trolls with the pink ,green, purple hair lol

  • you have thick hair

  • Comment removed

  • @blackindie Did it come out of your head??? I notice you said "my indian hair"??? Just curious LOL

  • dang , i love the look :) - my hairs worst than yours naturally (and im white) . thnk god for wigs :)

  • @whattheheyyy1290 and your white? I'd lovee to see proof because no one believes ME when I say that . :P

  • yes, shedding is normal i would guess because we lose something like 70 strains of hair daily when we comb it, so if you haven't combed your hair in a MONTH, it's just the natural hair you would have lost for that month coming out all at once.

  • how is your hair so silkey and wavey looking

  • I am sorry i meant to say will they accept payment just to take teh weave off and not let them wash your hair cuz i want to wash it myself after i take down the weave thanks

  • will a salon take out the weave for you and then not expect u to pay after. the girl that ddi my hair I don't know if i want o ask her to take it out for me she wasn't that patient when she did my hair but she did do agood job and she was rough lol even though i told her she was still rough. and i am afraid to take it down myself cuz i never did that befor eand i don't want to cut my hair

  • oh yeah it also helps to start combing your hair from the bottom up!

  • yes thanks for the advice it worked! have you ever thought about going nature!

  • just had to say you're so adorable and funny! lol I'm a hairdresser and I've done african/american hair in the past but of course nobody's gonna come to a white girl to do their hair right? lol..anyhow just wanted to tell you I think you are beautiful and your real hair is so pretty just needed a good trim at the end of this clip ...i like it flat ironed :-) xoxo

  • i had to laugh at 1:40 your face was sooo lol

  • Why am I watching this?

  • your hair has really grown

  • Ateeyaaa, I don't even wear wigs. I just watch your vids because you're a very likeable and entertaining person. Keep up the good job!

  • wow i thought that was your real hair

  • if you have mostly natural hair

when u are combing the hair after the leave in with the small comb

would u use a bigger comb

  • I've only had one full sew-in, and that was back in 2007. Did not know about combing the hair out to remove shedding b4 washing, and I lost alot of hair and suffered thinning in my crown (also caused by the braiding being too tight). Sucked! I was thru abusing my hair after that! I'm now 23 months natural (relaxer free), and will probably never get another full sew-in, but if i do, I'm glad I now know this information. Thanks for sharing.

  • it looks nice.. but comb out your hair from the bottom up! you wudn't lose so much hair

  • 0:58 reminds me of Dragonball Z, lol

  • When I use to wear weave, I would first put conditioner in my hair. It softened my hair and made it possible for me to comb through. Then I followed it with shampooing and reconditioned my hair. That's what worked for me :)

  • you can use a denman brush also...i prefer that to a wide tooth comb

  • Merry Christmas Ateyaaa! God Bless You!

  • ahhhh!!! girl comb the tips first on up!!

  • Your hair is shaping up so well! It looks beautiful.

  • Your hair has grown so much Ateya!!! I love it! Wish my natural hair could be so pretty, thick and long like yours!!!

  • it can just love it and it will wash and oils and great treatment and u also will have great lovely long hair

  • it looks like she got a sew in already her hair is so thick and pretty.

  • I got yarn braids in my hair and it's time to take it out and when you started scratching it made me scratch LOL. Thanks for the video!

  • I purchased the Aphogee lin & I luv it ,so thnk u very much. i also use Dr,.Miracles products

  • I wish Ateya would do her hair more often . I miss her hair care videos !

  • aww i miss this ateya. doing her hair and all. lol

  • you comb from ends to root

  • Yeah... Cause you gotta make that face when your doin some serious combing...lol..

  • Pretty hair at the end. You have hair like mine. I never tried the curl first then wrap...ummmm!

  • Hey, Ateeya, I tried the At One leave in conditioner. I absolutely love it. It really laid down my new growth.

    God Bless you!

  • PLEASE next time comb from the ends out. Also what I do, i comb some of my hair out, Get into the shower, put some conditioner on your hair and comb out the rest of the way. Because you hair is becoming smoother, it's a lot eaiser to comb out. (I know your head was sore afterwards) :-)

  • Girl, thank you! That first comb you used is my favorite BIG comb. My doggy loved it too she chewed it up, so I must get another one. Keep up the good work and I appreciate your sharing. Blessings to you.

  • Hey Ateyaa you have to comb your hair from the ends on out and the next time it won't be so much.....

  • whew! The things we go through! LOL!

  • Great vid Ateya...I am so glad that the take out was a success! I just started doing my hair vids and I am giving you all the praise in them for your tips and the Aphogee regimen! Thank you!

  • Wow!! That's the bra you shoulda wore wit that wedding dress the top woulda fit you betta.

as you can see the haters are dying!!!

  • yeah At one is a good product I use to use it a long time ago and I loved it

  • loved the video, thank you

  • oh my goodness all the racist comments on here is crazy! we should be focusin on ateya, not what ignorant white people are saying. It's our damn hair so let them wonder I say. If they aint doin mine then it aint none of their business. ANYWAY! Ateya your hair looks great! Keep it up mama!

  • @moniquewtlc FUCK THE KKK,

  • @moniquewtlc and this is why i love BEING a black woman!!!!!

  • I love your arms

  • Arms?

  • She's got some nice toned arms.

  • Ateyaaa what do u recommend i use in my hair to stop it from breaking off so much :(

  • And this is why I love my Black women.

  • @ardevry32 me too. we are such a beautiful race!

  • wow ateyaaa it turned out really good

  • Ateyaa please block this fool asap!!!! another prankster with too much time on their hand...now let's get back to hair and beauty talk!

  • that seems like so much work. But the end result was really good. Good job.

  • Our hair is not oily because we do not need alot of oils in our hair. It was made for us to survive the desert that is why it grows up not down.

  • Actually our hair grows up when short and down when longer because the ends are weighing the rest of the hair down.

  • um what?

  • oh my god it looks so good.

  • thank you so much!! you've given me so many ideas and hope for my little sister who's not so happy about being nappy :)

  • stfu

    dum ass

  • Go get a gasser...................

  • I'm feeling very grateful right now that I have very smooth straight hair. I don't know how you do it. I just... wow...

  • Sorry if this sound like a stupid question but what is the point of the curl and wrap? I've seen it done but I never knew what it was for...does it work for all hair types or just people with coarse hair? I'm asian and I've been told that I have black hair because it use to be so coarse and thick. I don't have a problem with it no more because my hair is thinning out but thought I'd still ask.

  • Black women curl and wrap their hair so it will be protected at night while they sleep. It also makes for less time getting ready in the morning because you can just take off the scarf, comb down the wrap, and your hair is already pretty much styled. Hope that helps=]

  • Thanks it helped out a lot. This would of save me from so many bad hair days. LOL I always tried sleeping in a certain way so my hair wouldn't crease up or mess up but I failed...

  • the composition of straight hair can rip out kinky hair. When you take those natural hair out of your own hair you should not comb so much.

  • I didn't mean that.

  • oh, okay. sorry.

  • You should really come from the ends to the roots. You're ripping you hair out that way.

  • So you really do read some of the comments? Glad you had a great take down. And you're supposed to comb from your ends up to the base of your head...

  • Excuse me I wash my hair everyday and I'm black. So you might want to speak for yourself and yourself alone. I wash it everyday because I like my hair to be 100% clean.

  • No one has better hair than another person. Kinky hair was made for the hot desert to keep uv away from the scalp. Straight hair was made to keep a person warm. The hair shaft are just layered different.

  • I ment hair cuticles are layered different and the hair shaft grows out in a different direction.

  • NO, thats gross. I wash my hair every 2-3 days. Thats really unhealthy. BUt most women with a relaxer might wash every week or some every 2 weeks.

  • no i totally understand where you're coming from. i'm black and black people generally don't have oily hair. we tend to have dryer, stiffer air. that's what gives it the curly, kinky look and rough texture. therefore, black women add a lot of different creams and oils to give their hair the desired look. the black women who spend tons of time on their hair don't wash and condition it everyday because it would damage the hair because it's so coarse. i'm a black man but i have a sister so i know.

  • Haha thats funny. Ummm not quite. Black people have naturally dry hair and everytime we wash our hair, it is stripped from the little natural oils that we do have. Therefore most black people wash their hair once a week and some even once every two weeks in an attempt to hold on to our natural oils and build up more moisture by using hair moisturizers or "grease" because in order for hair to grow long and strong it needs to have a proper moisture balance. Hope that makes sense lol.

    =]

  • How long did u have the sew-in for?

  • who is the music by?

  • I would just love to say that I am a fan of your videos and your hair is so beautiful! Why do you even weave it?

  • Why are ppl offended when people of non African decent ask questions regarding the African race? Is it wrong to want to learn? Many of us are not trying to be condescending, if it seems so, then tell us how to learn. I am not white and I am not black either. I had ppl look at me with curiosity and sometimes ignorance. But I will certainly not discourage those who are genuinely and respectfully curious.

  • Haha your expression is so cute when you part your hair. You know how everybody makes that face like they're trying to see the back of their own head? It's kind of like the faces we pull when putting on makeup lol.

  • girl i luv da video i use to be scared when alot of hair come out, use to it now. I do my own weaves and i dont add hair when braiding... hope im not damaging my hair... anyway ... youy hair has grwn alot... is it because of Nu grow...are u still using it? u didnt talk about it in this video...is it because ur using the Aphogee jus to strengthin ur hair agian?

  • Well done!!!

Glad to see your hair back to shape !

    Keep it up!

    °°°GuAdElOuPe°°° French West indies, baby!

  • Wow your beautiful , and you have showed me that beauty takes hard work.

  • I loved your vid I did. However when you were combing the leave in conditioner in I would have stuck to the large tooth comb only because it doesn't tug at your hair like the smaller tooth combs do when it's wet and it's safer. I'm a guy. Rican. My hair used to reach down to mid back straight. I used to do cornrows all the time. So I know where you're coming from when it comes time to take them out.

  • Coutureprincess0303:

Genetics is more complicated than that... The genes for thick and/or curly (the term 'natty' is uncouth, though among african americans seems to be used as a term of endearment) are dominant and more often than not will express themselves over European phenotypes (assuming that the child is an equal half and half). Consequently, most people of African decent have naturally curly hair.

  • please dont refer to yourself that way.

  • smh @ the racist cmmts
