  • Step 1: Rock. Step 2: Slap people who don't rock. Step 3: Go back to step 1.

  • Instead of bitching about how bad something is, just dont watch/listen. Its pretty easy to do that, but do you? no, you just gotta act like bunch of wankers and run your mouth just because you dont like something. Some of you people need to be banned from the internet.

  • This is Sh*t . Im so glad they sold out with tell no tales. Ugh aweful

  • @AezzeHD Sold out? Woh, hold your horses! They never get heavier than this. The album before this was worser than worst. The singer couldn't sing for shit and his accent was horrible.

  • this is when "power metal" came into existance

  • @fraginat0r It was already pretty clear on Europe's debut album in 1983. The entire album is early power metal.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 not that they are a bad band but anyone who compares europe to tnt is fired

  • @fraginat0r I was talking about the early power metal sound and not about who is better than the other. Power metal came into existence in 1976 by Rainbow's Stargazer, 1978: Rainbow - Kill the king, 1978: Riot . Warriors and then in 1983: Europe - Europe. John Norum and Yngwie Malmsteen are those guitarists from Sweden who had that neoclassical sound on guitars your hear of today's Swedish power metal bands like Insania Stockholm, Freternia, etc, etc.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 who the fuck cares. most power metal is gay anyways and i wasnt trying to turn this into a trivia challenge

  • @fraginat0r This should be my top 5 of guitarists:

    1) Richie Blackmoore

    2) John Norum

    3) Kai Hansen

    4) Luca Turilli

    5) Yngwie Malmsteen

Those are visionaires in my book.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 you forgot michael schenker and ronnie le tekro, and luca turilli is just an yngwie clone, ulli jon roth is also missing from your list, and im realy not interested in even seeing your top faves

  • Comment removed

  • @fraginat0r

Turilli is a Yngwie clone?? wtf? Yngwie can't touch Luca's compositional skills in a million years.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 Who are Kai Hansen and Luca Turilli? I recognise the others. Glad you have Norum in there :)

  • @PPX14 Kai Hansen was a singer/guitarist in the power metal band Helloween. Nowadays he has his own power metal band, Gamma Ray. Luca Turilli used to play lead guitar in Rhapsody. I suggest you check them out!

  • and I said the bands were undeground and were only hoping to make it big.

  • @deathpill100 I agree with you

  • When someone sys HAir Metal ...I automatically think of Bon Jovi,Ratt, Poison&Warrant !

  • @metalmoshinbert75 Well, you DID say you listened to their first album...

  • @metalmoshinbert75 Really? Songs like Scream Of Anger,Seven Doors Hotel,Boyazont, Dance The Night Away and In The Future To Come aren't heavy? They're even heavier than some stuff of the bands you mentioned...

  • @metalmoshinbert75 I never said that Europe was a metal band.,or that they had meteal riffs in their songs

\\\hat the piecee said is that they showed some metal& hard rock elements in their sound

Europe was a rock band, not hair metal,or hard rock

  • i rushed out n bought this tape when my buddy had it many years ago,it rocks!!!!

  • Hair Metal For the Win, TnT from norway, Europe from Sweden! Both awesome!

  • @Newmusicsuck Both TNT & Europe weren't hair metal bands to me

I 've always thought of them as great Metal bands

  • @Freyja1133 They both had big,poofy hair.

Also,Europe stopped being a metal band after their 2nd album, when they switched to synthy AOR.

  • @TheGreatDuck there were AOR radio stationsin chicago at the time..

I never heard one note of any of Europes song on any of them !

  • @Newmusicsuck Dont forget finnish hanoi rocks

  • @Newmusicsuck TNT & Europe Are not HAir Metal Bands !...

TNT 's Knights of the new thunder was released in 1984... a full three years before hair metal caught fire !

  • @Freyja1133 so fake... hair metal bands were around since the late 70s! the earliest band I can think of is RATT... 1978... but hair metal was fairly popular during 1981, 1982... then 1983 came and along with it shout at the devil, which brought motley crue into the spotlight. 1984 had a shitload of great hair metal records: RATT's out of the cellar, wratchild's stakk attakk, tnt's KOTNT and many others! by 1985 hair metal was already the major leading force in popular music in the US!

  • @deathpill1 What hair metal abnds wrote about Norse Mythology ,or the vikings for that mater?

    can you name some ?

I agree with you about hair metal being from the late seventies ( Loud Laughter).....

hair metal got started with Hanoi Rocksx, not Ratt !

  • @Freyja1133 i know RATT didn't start hair metal and I know Hanoi are responsible for it with their look and sound. I was just replying to you saying hair metal caught fire in 1987. what's norse mithology got to do with it?

  • @deathpill100 I was reffeing to these TNT songs Seven Seas, ready to leave, LAst Summer's evil,Tor with the Hammer& Knights of the thunder.( KOTNT ) Northern ligths ( Tell No Tales)

Hair metal means only thing to Me..Bands who are heavy on looks( good lokking) & Lite on talent

Their lyrics usually revolve around girls ,Sex 7 Partying

All I'm saying is that there are better topics to write about

  • @Freyja1133 are you kidding me? untalented? you realize that some hair metal guitarists are among the best metal lead players? glam metal probably had more guitar virtuosos than all the genres around at the time... and nikki sixx is a great songwriter and very creative.

  • @deathpill100 I didn;t say Un talented...I said lite in talent...

Wath poison behind the musi sometime.. CC deville said it himself....his influences never made it in to his guitar playing....

lite in talent means that there's a discord with something..either someone had problems with playing a mujsical instrument

Or in the words of tommy lee... in refference to vince neil he couldn't sng very well...but he could shake his hips < lite in talent, not untalented

  • @Freyja1133 I see what you mean. indeed, most hair metal was about the stage show and stuff. but they could sure blast out some great tunes. that's my opinion anyway.

  • @deathpill100 Some of the hair metal bands did sound the same...because their material was about the same subjects..Girls,sex & Partying...warrant was known for this!

  • and YES, I know Nikki Sixx plays bass in his band, but I was talking about songwriting in his case.

  • @deathpill100 I wasn't talking aout Nikki sixx at all !

    I hate motley crue !

I'm more european with my metal !

  • @Freyja1133 FOR GOD'S SAKE I was just saying that most hair metal guitarists were (and still are) better than pretty much every guitarist around at at the time. I used Nikki Sixx as an example that given the act that they were essentially shredders, hair metal guys could also write good songs without sounding the same.

  • @deathpill100 Nikki sixx is a bassist,not a guitarist

  • I was being sarcastic.

.i know that Bon Jovi made hair metal popular in 1984

  • @deathpill100 Caught fire means that even BAnds llike white snake jumped on the hair metal abnd wagon at least for a little while

  • @Freyja1133 many underground glam bands that weren't going to last were already forming around 1984-1985

  • @deathpill100 TNT was formed in 1981

  • @deathpill100 that's true.... enuff znuff was formed in 1985 or so

I agree with you about their material though

  • @deathpill100 Give the call letter of two radio stations that had hair metal formets back then

  • @Freyja1133 how the hell am I supposed to know that. I was born in 97, and you can't really find much about not-huge '80s stations online

  • @deathpill100 I was reffering to actual radio stations.... ok?

  • Haha Norway comes usually with black metal. But this shit is awesome!

  • @VictumRoManius And Power metal

  • Wait wait, Norway and Hard Rock/Hair Metal??.......F YEAHH!!!!!!!

  • @Bassmash this shit aint fucking hair fag

  • @super7fanboy This is hair metal at it's finest.

  • mhm, great effin stuff rit here

  • @TheGreatDuck this isn't hair metal.. have you been lisening to Motley crue, ratt, warrant& poison too often?

  • @Freyja1133 Hair metal isn't a music genre. All the bands in question are actually hard rock (you could say Crue and Ratt are hard 'n' heavy, and TNT could be described as melodic heavy metal/hard rock, though).

  • @Freyja1133 lol i fucking hate those bands with a passion, tnt was and still is a step above all that crap, anyone on here who likes poison can go suck bret michaels dick

  • @Bassmash On wikipedia they said power/heavy metal for this album but Tell no Tales was the beginning of hair metal and became softer on Inituition (however it spells) to make it more US friendly.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 are you really gonna believe wiki over actual musicians and hair junkies??

  • @Bassmash Well, I don't believe in what wiki usually say. I believe in my own experiences. The riffs are typically early power metal scene of the 80's. Wiki is full of shit and consider Running Wild a power metal band. They were nothing more than a speed metal band along with Axel Rudi Pell's Steeler in Germany. Big hair was common in any genre of metal back then and does not define the sound. It's like saying Helloween and Agent Steel plays hair metal.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 Bottom line is that hair metal and glam metal are basically the same but wiki prefers to use the term glam so watever

  • LOL Sorry to inform you but the USA plays a huge part in this song also, thanks Tony Harnell!!!! bring Tony Harnell back..
