I'm not bitter about Republicans giving tax cuts to the wealthy while I get stuck paying $4 for a gallon of gas. I love it! Screw America some more, Republicans! We're too stupid to be bitter!
Of course small town Americans are 'bitter.' What else are they supposed to be? Optimistic? Regardless of party affiliations, Americans are upset with government because of a falling dollar, lost jobs, lost retirement benefits, greater adult incarceration rates, corporate greed, an expensive war (which we cannot afford) in which our boys are dying for... Well what purpose exactly?
The list goes on.
Should the discussion be about how Obama phrased bitter, or about why it was said?
Thanks to Carter/Clinton and the Democrats for oil prizes being high ,they have blocked every proposal to dig our on oil for years.
