  • Hey, how about we think on a wider scale? Which is better for the economy, a handful of rich bankers with the means to buy 20 brand new cars each, or 300,000 people with the means to buy one new car each? That's just one hypothetical. Imagine how many of those 300,000 can now afford to get a long-standing health condition looked at (work for docs), or finally get their roof replaced (construction job). Jobs are created by DEMAND, not the employers! Greed is ruining the economy in EVERY way.

  • 2,500 hour, they could pay 10.00 hour to start and up, people would have more respect for the job and the business

  • @MegaDoggyBag Prices would skyrocket at restaurants if that was the case. That is how they (Burger King, McDonald's, etc.) keep their prices so low. I work at a Burger King. 10/hour is about the wage for an Assistant Manager position. When it comes down to respect, I believe you should earn your wage, via getting up through management positions. BK isn't really a hard job whatsoever. Maybe it is for a woman of her size. But I have lots of energy so I am all over the place. Its easy

  • Gotta call bullshit on the "most employees are single mothers"crap. After working both sides of fast food (regular employee and management) I can tell you that a good 90% are just HS kids, recent graduates or drop-outs looking to make spending cash on their way to something else. Most of the rest are looking to augment their spouses' income with something extra. Fast food jobs were never designed to provide a living for a family. Not unless you want to pay $10 for a burger and $5 for fries.

  • Being a human being shouldn't be this hard.

  • Boycott Goldman Sachs.

  • If anyone unionizes a Fast Food Restaurant the days for that restaurant surviving is numbered. McDonalds is not unionized and they are thriving. If it's due to Goldman owning Burger King I suggest they have a management team take over. No employee of Burger King is going to get an 18,000 bonus. You can count on that. Liberals are nuts.

  • @Bruce1949919 Who is thriving? Oh yeah, the guys at the top.

  • @cheezombie And that's the way it should be.

  • @Bruce1949919 Not at the disparity it is it shouldn't.

  • @Bruce1949919 Being a human shouldn't be this difficult. The system is corrupt. When will people wake up to the fact that we don't live in a capitalistic state, a socialist state, or a communist state, but a fascist one, where the mighty at the top of these corporations run the state? The vast ignorance is amazing, and just goes to show that they are winning.

  • @cheezombie Oh Really? Is this what we are genius? centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism????

    You are a Communist.

  • @Bruce1949919 No, private enterprises control the state, the media, and the money supply. Isn't it funny that Ron Paul, who is for ending The Fed, is being ignored by the mainstream media despite strong support in the polls? Do you really think censorship is not happening? Quit being afraid and wake the fuck up. Corporations by their definition are not capitalistic. They can only exist with a state.

  • @Bruce1949919

You have no understanding of what capitalism, communism, or fascism are, and that's what's wrong with this country.

  • @Bruce1949919 you are ignorant. no one SAID to give a BK employee an $18 K bonus. The point is, they could pay their employees at least minimum wage, not break the laws by forcing them to work overtime for straight time wages, and these greedy ass fucks would still be making a KILLING off of these employees. this goes for wall-mart, mcdonalds, lowes etc etc etc......the top get more and more, while giving less and less. They are creating an entire generation of mass poverty for their greed.

  • @cliftymike1 Who the hell are you bucko? If any company is not paying minimum wage or not honoring overtime laws there is a remedy. But you must watch the video again. Many line people from Fast Food Restaurants go on to get their own and sometimes multiples. They become the high earners. But you must play the rules right. Read my answer again. And if you have worked hard to achieve this you have the right to make more money. Not by cheating have you. So shut up and read for a change.

  • Anyone who thinks restaurant work is easy is just plain stupid.

Anyone working at a desk in an office who looks down on restaurant workers is just plain ignorant.

If you want to see lazy, under-motivated, overpaid, over weight, weak, cowardly, spoiled rotten crybaby go along to get along, hide from the boss, pretend to work while you are daydreaming all day with no real work to do good for nothings - go into any corporate office in this country.

THAT's where the dead weight really resides.

  • constantly getting burned by hot grease, CRABBY bitchy customers, and for the lucky ones that work third shift, we constantly get harassed & yelled at by drunks. so do NOT sit there and say that its easy work, mindless, etc. you obviously have NO idea what it's like.

  • Seeing comments about working at bk being 'mindless, easy, boring, etc' and that's why the employee's get paid shit..to "stand around and do nothing" makes me sick. I work at BK, making $7.25/hour. OH BOY. that's just enough to pay my rent and my cell phone bill & put gas in my car. I can't even afford health insurance. and there is NO full time, except management. no one in my store makes over $10/hour. not even the GM. and its not mindless, boring, standing around, etc. its non-stop, HOT,

  • @lizz11 And the Corpers (Republicans, LIbertarians, Tea Partiers, 40% of Senate Democrats ~ probably more Democrats, just not 100% like most of the other political parties) want you to

~ save up an "emergency" fund

~ to cover public school costs over and above whatever school voucher limits they set

~ forget about Health Care, its priced out of reach by design

~ believe that reduced corp taxes will create jobs in spite of the 50 year history to the contrary

    ~ eat healthy

    2012 Think Progressive

  • :21 Picture that over you :3

  • It's interesting that they mention the fact that Burger King would tell their employees to stay overtime and not pay them time and a half for it. I worked at a Papa John's about a month ago and they did the same thing to us almost every day

  • garbage food

  • hey guys, did you know that bk is selling double stacks for a dollar???? a freaking dollar!!! you just cant beat that with a stick.

  • Nope hasnt changed. It's probably gotten even worse.

  • @EganForNevada They're not complaining that they have to work, they're complaining that they don't get paid properly for the work they do. Burger King is just like any business, people just look down on it and think it's ok because you don't need a fucking degree to work there.

  • @EganForNevada Why do you hate poor people? And furthermore why do you hate the idea that if you work hard you should be able to get ahead in this country? Are you a patriot or a fucking worm?

  • Wonder what the situation is now for BK workers?? Has it changed any?

  • Just what do you think the salary should be for the underachievers who work at burger king?

  • American leaders would rather give their children bmw's and 50 thousand dollar bday parties then help the country. American citizens are being robbed by the over entitled, monopoly creating, greedy, characterless low life's.

  • Whatever it is its a fair world. And people still do get by working at BK.

  • @sirnyk Go work at BK and then come back and say it's a fair job. The world is not fair and whoever told you it is was misinformed, lying or has decided to lay there and take it.

If you want to sit by and accept feudalism from the Burger King that's fine just don't ever say you love your country, the people in it or it's economic prosperity because shit like this is what's costing the US it's top spot as the best place to live.

  • haha! and I was complaining about my $4000 a year... Privileges of living on a 3rd world country.

  • If you have such a stick up your ass about burger king.. Then don't wrap your fat fingers around a whopper.

  • all the while poisoning the people making them the fattest on the face of the earth

  • If you want to get paid a real wage... Get a real job. If you want to get somewhere in life, stop spitting out kids you can't afford and consider a career that doesn't require you to ask, "do you want fries with that?".As for the bailout money, thank your elected officials who have been screwing you over for years.

  • I only make 6000 a year and im living just fine. I drive, spend money on gas, buy steaks, cigarettes and things all because i know how to budget my money. 14000 a year by yourself, you could easily afford to live!

  • @tatomuck18 you must live with your parents. I earn about 10,000, and that is just enough to pay my rent, pay car insurance, buy food, upkeep the car and have about an extra 100 a month for "extras" like art supplies, gas for trips to visit family, and allergy meds. I can live on it, but I've got no money for doctor visits. You can not be completely self sufficient on 6000 a year.

  • Goldman Sachs is an Evil Capitalist corporation that shits and pisses on its workers. The rich White Goldman Sachs elites that got all of the Taxpayer bonus money should be taken by the scruff of the neck and handed over to the people for justice. They should be stripped of all of their wealth and possession and be left like they leave their workers....destitute and poor.

You fucking Americans are so stupid. Your EVIL government rapes you and rapes you and you say "More Please!".

    Assholes...

  • "Busting their ass" ....... There is NO hard labor working fast food. I worked mcdonalds and dairy queen when I was younger. Then I got a REAL job...

Fast food is easy mindless work. That's why you don't get paid shit to work their.

  • That Burger King king is one freaking creepy son of a bitch. I won't eat there because of THAT fucking thing.

  • Don't like Burger King? No one's forcing you to work there, are they?

  • @FrankeeFraud Except in this down economy, those are the jobs that are available. Having to pay bills forces people to work there. Needing to eat and support their kids forces people to work there

  • If they received $18,000, they'd owe a lot of taxes.

  • Poor people hate money... That is why when they get their welfare tax check.... They spend it on TV sets, shoes and lottery tickets... They hate money so much that they do everything in their power to get the fuck rid of it... Poor people keep people poor... I grew up poor... Every time I did something to better myself... My fellow poor people would make fun of me... I wasn't a smartass to them... They want everyone poor and hopeless like them... Then they only blame the rich...

  • Jeezes, another out of touch with real life libertarian. In a libertarian like system, with free market and none or few government benefits, it's simply not possible for everybody to rise above poverty. On the contrary. Even the libertarian themselves indirectly admits this, when they're attacking minimum wage laws by claiming it shuts the poorest segment out of the job market. So in reality your poor associates just defended their own dignity when they attacked your efforts to rise above them.

  • @TheZappersdoopable

    How'd you stop being poor?

  • @Yawehplaneswalker616 I am a painter. I work and make $20.00 an hr and still do my own contract work on the side. I don't even have a GED. Last year I made around $40,000 for side work alone... Plus around $40,000 at my regular job... I work constantly but I do well for myself... I was raised my a single mother that at best, made $10,000 a year... I plan on getting my GED and going to college for an engineering degree... New Account.... TheZappersdoopable is closed...

  • @mirk1500 my ged cert has a foot print on it

  • @TheZappersdoopable That is by far one of the smartest things ever said by a human being IMO. You couldn't have been more right.

  • @rebelnomo Thank you... New Account... TheZappersdoopable is closed...

  • @TheZappersdoopable I like money. I don't spend all my money in 1 spot. I always like rich people.

  • I want to see american witch is not fat, please.

  • Say no to unions and illegal immigration....

They hurt this nation more than anything!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Why do you indirectly say the nation's welfare is dependent on ruining the negotiation power of the working class and lower middle class? Isn't that just a bad excuse for the upper middle class to fuck the lower classes up the ass? Anyways, my guess is you aren't so damn ignorant that you aren't aware that joint negotiations, trough unions, is the only way the working class and lower middle class is ever going to get any negotiation power on the labor market.

  • That is about the going rate of a fast food worker. Subway workers start out about 50 cents more and Subway is a private company. The Food business is a tough business. Even Britney Spears couldn't keep her restaurant open for a week. Burger King's net profit was $46.6 million for 2009 or about $3,883 per outlet.

  • I'm never going to Burger King again. Fuckin' Banks own everything.

  • I work for BK as well, & it's work distribution is terrible, & it doesn't help the fact that the main manager is lazy as shit. The work environment is stressful enough, & that's not even including all the corporate pull that its been receiving lately.

  • get another fucken job thene stop fucken complaining dumbass

  • hey, asshole, it's the only job around where I live that is hiring, & I need the money for college payments, so think before you open your mouth again.

  • @theanarchist16 stop fucken complainging i work in construction from 6 in the morning till 8 in the afternoon so fuck off

  • @klaudio567 FUCK YOU. Asshole. Get off your damn high horse. You don't even live in the US. Who died and made you dictator? Fast Food is damn hard work. You should be compensated fairly. I work at Wendy's as a closer, incredibly physical even for a big guy of 6'0" 200 lbs.

  • Ohh Luigi get off YOUR high horse

  • zheng, aside form being a moron, you are putting words in my mouth. Saying I condone forced slavery or forced labor because I understand the value of skilled labor vs. unskilled labor is sheer marxist lunacy. I understand that loony marxists like you think that I should give my hard earned money to you, but you can go fuck yourself if you think I am going to give you my money, or feel sorry for people who chose not to better themselves while demanding "fairness." Lazy ass bullshit.

  • @zalzankavol2 this is the smartest thing iv herd in this video fucken ppl are stupid

  • I work at BK in UK, it's not too bad, i've been there a year and a half, and i like it, however we really aren't busy enough, so we don't get enough hours :(. General atmosphere is good, we work as a team, apart from a couple of arsy managers, but generally no complaints. Have been in the past, but it seems to have been sorted :)

  • i am currently working in this company right now. the system is bad, the distribution of work is uneven, the manager is lazy, the manager give more working hours to the people she/he likes, no matter how slow you are as long as the manager likes you, you will get more working hours - that's just i noticed in the company im working right now, im one of the fast worker in the store but i would love to leave and contribute my skill to the other worthy company

  • i want to see you invest millions and unionize your restraunt. Pay employees unreal wages. the food would have to cost so much nobody would eat there. Unions are run by greedy leaders who line their pockets with union dues.

Unions are corrupt entities that take advantage of the very people who they claIM TO HELP.

Burger King is an American success story. It's fools like yourself who Obama counts on to empower him so he can rot this country from within! A useful idiot.

  • @dscottkerr Unions aren't the answer wage distribution is. Not what somebody has already earned that's socialism but what they will in the future. Fix it so that the people doing all the hard work get paid fairly.

  • First off you won't see me investing in anything that requires slavery conditions for my workers in order to profit. Burger King's story of success is really the story of their employees suffering.

Secondly it's you yourself who are relying on useful idiots. The only way you can make workers reject the only tool they have to improve their situation, is by discrediting it. But if unions doesn't help the workers as you say, then why is Burger King and it's like so dam afraid of unions?

  • I work 4 BK & they are discriminating & harassing workers. Most of the workers get to do and say what they want & get their hours but not me I had my hours cut due to the fact the managers don't like me & that I had to call the office on two complaints I had against them. They are retaliating against me by cutting my hours down to nothing. Managers say that my jobability is the reason they are cutting my hours but they are not doing that to the other workers. There are 8 ppl who are related th

  • I worked at burger king for about 8 months.. It was pretty shitty ill be honest. The actual work i had to do was pretty stressful in itself, but during a rush it was a nightmare. It couldve been better if my co-workers worked as hard as me, but it was usually just me pounding the hammer away on making the food while my co-workers didnt do a single thing to help. It was only really painful when they would expect 3-4 of us to run an entire saturday lunch because they dont want to spend more money.

  • aww

  • Another company who is underpaying its workers? Forcing workers to work over 8 hours in a shift and then cutting 4 hours off their 40 hour week instead of paying overtime? It SHOULD BE TIME AND A HALF, instead they force you to take 1 hour off for every 1 hour forced overtime without pay. The employer? Home Depot.

  • When I was fifteen, I met a friend who at 15 was a professional magician. He taught me how to juggle. I took lessons, I practiced. One day a juggling friend asked me to help him with a six hour workshop, I would get half the money. At the end he handed me a check for $300, since he made $100 an hour. I started my own juggling instruction business at 15, and was making thousands of dollars a summer for years after that...$150 an hour while my friends slogged it at Burger King for $2.25 an hour.

  • You act like Burger King is supposed to be a good job.

  • just because you flip burgers doesn't mean you can be treated like crap.

Mcdonalds actually has scholarships for college

  • Just because you flip burgers DOES mean you can be treated like crap, because its a low skill job that anyone can do. And once again, Burger King was never meant to be a good job. If you get a job at Burger King, which doesn't promise a good pay, and expect a good pay, then theres something wrong with you

  • I'm not talking about being paid $15 an hour. I'm talking about compliance to Federal Laws. (now $ 7.50 )

Minimum Balance, Over Time, 30 minute Breaks.

    Federal Laws are NOT voluntary.

and how much your an asshole is amazing. human beings deserve basic respect and dignity.

Has nobody taught you the golden rule? Treat others how YOU would like to be treated.

Do I have to define and teach you about empathy ? Compassion ?

are these concepts lost upon you ?

  • Who says your not being an asshole for forcing people to pay higher wages for a job a retarded monkey could do? Think about the employer as well fool.

  • @nhp5000 It's demand. BK makes so much money and is owned by a HUGE bank. Shouldn't be a problem to pay fairly.

  • Fool, they are paying fairly. Why should Burger King pay more for a job that anyone can do? Also, Burger King isn't meant to be your full time job, you're supposed to constantly be looking for a better job. If you can't find a better job then Burger King, that is not Burger King's fault. Just because you can't do better does not mean Burger King should pay more.

  • Your argument doesn't hold up. In the real world there just isn't enough high paying jobs around for everyone. Those who can't get a high paying job ends up in Burger King because they have no other choice, they got to eat and pay bills. Thus the system guarantees Burger King and it's likes a steady flow of workers willing to work for wages you really can't live on. And why should Burger King be allowed to pay wages people can't live on? Why should anyone work at wages you can't live on?

  • My argument holds up because of something in your above post. They are willing to work at that wage. They agree to work at that wage, and thus they are. There has always been bad jobs, ALWAYS. The only difference is now people have the nerve to complain about it. My Grandma was an indentured servant when she came from Germany over here in the 30s. Do you think she'd be complaining about working at BK? No, she'd consider it a better way of life.

  • Your argument, which was Burger King is meant to be a stepping stone on the way to better jobs, doesn't hold up because there isn't enough high paying jobs to go around. And you keep on displaying your lack of touch with reality, by claiming their willingness to accept the job conditions somehow makes it alright, when in fact they have no choice. Not to mention bad jobs in previous times doesn't mean bad jobs is a state of nature. In real world America bad jobs is solely a political decision.

  • Is it Burger Kings fault there aren't better jobs out there? No it is not and don't go yelling at Burger King just because they aren't a good one. And if you claim it's because of politics then you sir are advocating a form of socialism. And as much as Sweden has a problem with economic mobility, Socialism is a bad thing.

  • Well, it sure is your fault that you are changing the subject as a substitute for good arguments. Your argument about Burger King as a stepping stone still doesn't hold up. And labeling alternative options as socialism, doesn't mean bad jobs in America isn't a political choice. Neither does it mean it's a natural state. And Sweden does certainly not have a problem with economic mobility. On the contrary. The Nordic welfare states all have the highest social mobility rate in the world.

  • Though it's funny you mention Sweden and social/economic mobility, as in this area the US underachieves the Nordic welfare states by far. The American dream is just that. An unrealistic dream. In reality it's a nightmare. If you are born by poor parents in the US you have a lot higher risk of becoming poor yourself than in any of the Nordic welfare states. The opportunities for the poor to rise are simply greater in a welfare state than in a libertarian like state (free education anyone?).

  • No duh, of course the chance of being poor is higher. Thats not economic mobility. The chance to become Warren Buffet is economic mobility dumbass. While they may certainly not be poor, there are most certainly no Warren Buffets in Sweden. And it still is a stepping stone, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO STAY THERE! You are supposed to be continuily looking for better jobs.

  • I don't take any offense what so ever from being called dumbass by someone who is incapable of understanding the explained falsification of his arguments. Especially when that someone reveals his ignorance as well. All the Nordic welfare states has plenty of rich people like Warren Buffet. But I guess you don't care enough about what is going on outside your little fantasy bubble to have heard about Ikea and Ingvar Kamprad. However, they do exist in the real world. And they are both Swedish.

  • lol you fool, IKEA is headquartered in the Netherlands!

  • That is irrelevant as Ikea was still founded in Sweden as a Swedish company, by the Swede and now extremely wealthy Ingmar Kamprad, and made its initial success from there. Besides, Netherland too is a welfare state along the Nordic lines, as just about all northern European countries. Now, what did you say your argument was again? Dumbass ignorant fool, you really thought you had me there, didn't you?

  • The Netherlands has less tax percent of GDP then the average EU member, and a full 12% less then Sweden. Therefore I hold that the Netherlands may be a welfare state, but not nearly to the equivalent that Sweden is, which is what allows there companies to grow. :)

  • Well, a 12 % reduction of whatever you make does hardly mean you don't have the ability to make a lot, which was your initial and now debunked claim (yet again). In the real world it isn't lower taxes that makes businesses successful, it's entrepreneurship. But then again that's the problem with libertarians like yourself, isn't it, you are completely detached from reality.

  • If you think 12% after an already 33% loss on materials and still more on labor isn't a lot then there is no point in arguing with you sir. Good day to you sir.

  • (I forgot to include the 37% base tax in this, making the total percetage gone in the Netherlands 70 and 82% in Sweden, without labor costs.

  • Having fun with numbers are we? Besides, the question isn't whether or not it's a lot of tax. That's merely a perception. The question is whether or not your argument about Sweden's tax rate preventing social/economic mobility holds up. Which the real world proves it does not. Anyways, by now I've gotten really tired of debunking every single one of your ignorant and dumbass out of touch with real life arguments. So good riddance, Sir.

  • lolumad?

  • And not to say you can't make a modest wealth in Sweden, surely you can make enough to relocate yourself somewhere else to make a bigger profit :)

  • These are so fucking true. I work at Burger King now for over a year and they pay you shit. No to mention keeping you because BK's really busy and they don't pay you overtime. Yesterday I works for 10 hours and barely got paid for 8 hours!

  • lol, welcome to the world of unskilled labor. A good marxist idiot will insist that the unskilled proletariat workers should be paid more than they are worth, but a smart American will say, "hey, if I get an actual skill, I can make more money!" Unions are useless and need to go.

  • idiots like yourself would be in favor of slave labor. It's 100% profit driven. The problem with Capitalism is that it has NO SOUL.

If managers treated employees correctly with respect and honor they wouldn't need to ever join a union.

  • Idiots like myself went to college and got a marketable skill and degree. Idiots like you work at burger king in a job a trained monkey could do, then sit on your lazy ass and bitch about people and corporations making money. Burger king is not a career, it is a low-end fast food joint. Get some reality.

  • i am going to college. not everyone can.

have some fucken compassion and empathy.

you stand up for the corporations because someday you want to treat people like shit. Basic dignity and respect is something everyone deserves.

  • Compassion and empathy? what does that have to do with you whining about wanting more money for an unskilled job? I don't just stand up for corporations, I stand up for free enterprise, entrepreneurship, freedom, talent, and skilled labor. Remind yourself that many "corporations" started out with one guy working his ass off to make an idea happen. The result is more jobs, better products, more choices, and more wealth for those industrious enough to pursue and create it.

  • The problem with greed is that you will push your grandmother into a on coming train if it was profitable.

No respect, no dignity, no respect. the fact you bash compassion and empathy is so fucken depressing.

Just because your rich doesn't give you the right to be asshole. Free Enterprise is a code word for ' let us get away with murder '.

Greed is a deadly sin for a reason.

  • Well zalzankavol2,

You are now an idiot on legs. YAY!!!!!!!!! SInce the beginning of human civilisation, the need to build the great monuments were once from unskilled workers. So you're saying that what the Pharoh did to the Jews sounds righteous (NO WAY), because skilled workers (nowadays corrupt banks, financial businesses, bank holding companies, etc.) are the Pharoh, while the average American are the Jews. You call that fair?!?!?!?! Prove to me it is and we start argument, and...

  • moron, the difference is we have a free market, not a totalitarian state. Any BK worker is free to better themselves and leave the unskilled labor market if they wish. No excuses. My son was a BK worker, went to one-year culinary school, and now makes almost three times a smuch as he did at BK. Stop glorifying unskilled labor.

  • @zalzankavol2 exactly there just fucken lazy people who want monney for doing bullshit im from albania and my dad works in construction from 6 in the morning till 8 in the afternoon and when he gets a day off he gets mad becuase he loves to work

  • @klaudio567 You have never worked fast food. You do realize how stupid you're making yourself look right?

  • fucken retard my mom worked in burger king as a illegal imigrant for 6 an hour so i know how it is its just you fucken hypocrites are so stupid , go to the philapens and your gana get 50 cents a day

  • @zalzankavol2 no the US does not have a free market. Look up the word "free" the government is the antithesis of it. And they whom line their pockets with corporate profits run the country. We have a Fascist state sugar coated to give the appearance of freedom. See that's the problem you shouldn't need to spend more money getting a piece of paper to work at BK. If you're good at the job you should get performance raises.

  • Have you no decency at all? Do you really think that bankers, who do NOTHING but leach off of people who work to build the infrastructure of a civilization deserve to live more comfortably than the people who ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE? I find it peculiar that you look down at so-called "unskilled" workers(which we cannot live without) and you glorify crooks who we could certainly do without. We need waiters/waitresses more than we need bankers. We need construction wokers more than we need lawyers.

  • There are around 350,000,000 people in the U.S. alone. What percentage of that total can you reasonably expect to get corporate jobs, or go to college. By default the majority of any given population is going to get the short end of the stick. How can you justify bankers making more money than people who actually work for a living? How can you justify baseball players making more money than a doctor or a nurse, or even a ditch digger for that matter? People like you make me sick.

  • What percentage? The percentage that gets off their lazy asses and tried to better themselves. Like a good liberal, you have the fallacy of zero-sum economics floating around in your narrow mind. Sorry, my socialist friend, unskilled labor is not the foundation of the economy, specialized labor is. BTW, without real estate attorneys, your construction workers would be out of a job. Bankers provide the services and specialized skill that allow businesses to capitalize and hire unskilled labor.

  • Are you stupid or something? Are you actually dumb enough to say that infrastructure can exist without lawyers? HAHAHAH! That's a good one. And you're calling me narrow minded?

What role does a lawyer play in a construction zone? The truth is most lawyers couldn't hack it at a real job, so they leach off of people who work for a living. A civilization can get along just fine without leaches like lawyers.

A CIVILIZATION NEEDS PLUMBERS MORE THAN LAWYERS YOU HALF-WITTED TWERP!

  • I justify Bankers making more money than many poeple because banking and finance is specialized labor that commands a value in the market place. BTW, i said nothing of banking. Anyone can learn a skill that has a value in the market and increase their wealth if they wish. My hourly rate as a juggler is more than a banker makes, or most lawyers. I learned a skill and started a business at 15. Whiny socialist like you make me sick. You deserve to be flipping burgers. Shine my shoes.

  • You are half wrong. Yes, they should make more money, to a point. It is indeed much harder to become a banker. All they ears in school, all the training and such.

  • @DmonHiro so that doesn't mean you should just make more because there is more to learn to do the job. I had to go to school for 13 years before I could get hired at my job does that alone mean I should make more? Police have to go through school and training to be a cop and they don't get paid mega salaries. Salaries should be based on demand and the most demand always comes from needs. If all the Grocery stores closed up tomorrow all cities would be screwed.

  • @zalzankavol2 Oh how is it going hoarder? You know what the worst thing about hoarding is that when you have so much of everyones money, they can't do as much business, so just keep hoarding. I guess it won't be unfair for you to lose your job too. Oh that's right you bend over too corporate slave. Now is more fair to call you corporate slave or consumer slave, after all the consumer is #1. You're nothing without the bottom. Oh and would you like SECS personal # too.

  • @LaharlD2 Its going pretty well. I don;t have anyone else's money, I have my own money. It's mine. I earned it, I invested it, I own it. I moved most of my money into Precious metals funds a while ago so I have been making a killing. I also invested in some Chinese companies and thats going very well. BTW, I am not a corporate slave; I saved enough money years ago to secure my retirement, so I now work for fun, as well as fringe benefits. You may commence whining like an unskilled labor bitch.

  • @LaharlD2 Your concept of hoarding money is the classic fallacy of Marxism, that of the unrealized potential of stored wealth. Karl Marx was a lazy asshole who sponged off of people..in fact he sounded alot like you. Only lazy marxist assholes believe in zero sum economics. Oh, I also build computers on the side, and that nets me around a grand a month. Bet that pisses you off! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! SKILLED LABOR MAKING MONEY!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  • theres only 300 million people here legally. you're full of shit which negates any argument you could make

  • I fail to see the relevance of the illegal immigration issue on this matter. The fact is, even the Mexican ditch diggers and dish-washers who are here illegally contribute more to our society than lawyers, priests and stupid-ass crusty jugglers like zalzankavol2

  • I worked burger KING for 2 years,

The food is horrible, I used to sweat right into the burgers, it was soo hot in the back, and you can never leave.

  • eww wtf u sweated in the burgers and you guys still served them? yuck

  • sweat into the burgers? dam no wonder there so salty lol

  • The people that are to blame for the employee working under such miserable conditions should be held acountable

Why do these people get away with holding guns to other people's heads to force them to work at BK

    A full investigation is needed

Anyone found forcing someone to work at BBK at the point of a gun should be in jail

Antone willingly working at BK should be told to shut the fuck up

  • I thought Goldman Sachs had a liberal chief.

  • I think people either need to quit whining and be thankful for the job they have or just go find another job. If you dnt let people take advantage of you they cant.

Chew on that for a minute !!

  • I totally agree with Muahadeeb28, it's about time this country started enforcing a strict policy of abortions for anyone who does not have a college degree... and not some crappy community college degree either... Ivy League or abortion, that's the AMERICAN DREAM!!!!!

  • what the heck are you talking about?

  • Why in the hell would a person who has enough experience and education to only work at Burger King, have three children? People need to use their brains before bringing a child onto this world. They must determine before pregnancy if they will be able to support a child on their income without the help of the government. To purposefully get pregnant, knowing that you will need tax payer money to support you and your child, is a terrible thing to do to that child and everyone else.

  • It seems like most women these days just figure "I'll have a child, live in 'housing unit' for fixed income. Plus I'll have the 'baby daddy' pay child support, and I'm set".

It's sad to think that there are women out there who don't see a child as a gift. They see a dollar sign.

  • It is very sad but, oh, so true, my friend.

  • The millionaires that sit on their butts in their lavish offices while these underpaid employees work on the front lines that provide the goods and services that produce the wealth. These millionaires deliberately make it so YOU and I HAVE to subsidize THEIR employees from our paychecks so they can survive day-to-day living expenses, Housing, food, medical, transportation.

  • This is sooo true. I worked at a grocery store and the owner had a car full of antique cars and his wife had a house built just for her expensive dolls.

Meanwhile the employees were purposely kept at 25 hours a week so they could get welfare and free housing. We were subsudizing this asshole with our tax dollars!

  • Why a better wage? Lets take a look at the Burger King menu. You see that fish sandwich they sell? In 1969 they sold a similar one called The Whaler for 50 cents. The fish today is smaller and sells for $2.85. The difference in price is an increase of 470%. In 1969 the minimum wage was $1.90 pr hr, today that would be $10.83 if Burger King had kept pace with their own menu pricing. In contrast that fish sandwich would be $1.80 if they had raised menu prices at the rate they raised wages

  • Do you also realize the cost of taxes for corporations has increased to make up the slack in your calculations? The only reason why they get paid little is because they have little responsibilities. Let them work up the ladder like the guy in the video did. Don't punish hard work and ambition with your greed.

  • cost of living exceeds their pay - you want them to have insurance on their cars dont you? esp when they run into you or you get injured? - you are missing the point. I own a business I do know what it costs to run a business - CEOs do not deserve that kind of pay over those who DO the work. They are people with needs just like you and I -

  • You are a dumbass! We are subsudizing these workers with our Tax dollars through welfare. If Sachs has to close down some of its Burger Kings to pay their workers more Good! Save us some tax dollars

  • Really? You think if we, say, banish all taxes for these mega corporations, food and costs for their items will go down? These fuckers dont give a shit about people like you; all they want is your money. Your letting them get away with treating people inhumane just so one day in your little mind you think you will be where they are? Wake up, they got you fooled. And this is capitalism [face palm]

  • But how would they make their profit?

Its all greed; anyway they can make their best profit while scamming their customers.

  • Why should uneducated people doing low skill labor deserve more money just for working at a successful franchise? I think $14K a year for working at Burger King is actually pretty good considering the light work and stress levels that are involved. That's just how I look at it.

  • who did this lame ass video?

do they have any eduction to do something better with their time or life?

  • its been a while since i been to BK and after seein' this,.....no more....you'd think that a national franchise would be able to pay a decent workin' wage to their employees,........

  • They're picking on Burger King here but you'll find the same conditions in almost every fast food or retail chain.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to log onto the website of the Centralist Party USA, please go to my profile page and look to the left of my profile page and look under where it says "Books: Later" and click on the link and you will be taken to the Centralist Party USA website. (The link won't work in the comment box).

  • Centralism is coming. Capitalism better take notice, because Centralism will bring down the oppressive capitalist system. Centralism will free the people from slavery!

  • I'll take her job and adjust it a little with MY own mim wage if they can work with it... ^_^

  • get your lawyers its sueing time for bk

  • Things have not change shit for you people for the last 50 years. Its a damn same. The rich keep on ripping of the poor and they don't give a shit. You people don't deserve it. I don't think your country is a real democracy.Politicians making promises and in the end turn back to their own agenda.

You were our liberators 65 years ago. Things must improve for you people.

  • Well if you're struggling trying to make it as a single mum, surely you should be glad Burger King exists. After all clearly you can't find a better job or you would disappear out there fster than a small fries at a stoners party.

  • If the minimum wage had kept pace with inflation since 1968, it would be over $10 an hour.

When I was a high school kid working at a BK, most of my co-workers were adult immigrants working 2-4 jobs to support their families.

No healthcare, dental, retirement or job security.

An okay job for a High school kid to make a few bucks but not a real shot at a living for most who work there full time.

Oh, and Managers are trained to deny overtime AT ALL COSTS. Fact.

    Ralph Nader is still right.

  • Then presumably you know that they are trained to do this, it would get pretty obvious pretty fast. So anyone who works there obviously prefers BK even without overtime to other jobs that pay overtime.

  • I work at BK, and Im FUCKING tired of the bullshit I go through there. I've been denied a promotion for over a year now and just when I can finally be promoted, My boss picked 2 people who have been there combined less than 6 months. IVE BEEN THERE 2 YEARS! And you know why? Because he refuses to train anybody to work saturdays. So im stuck at minimum wage till I can quit and tell his lazy ass to fuck off and train people. This kinda info makes me sick.

  • Ok, I work at BK myself so I know about this stuff. I don't like working there, but hey guess what? It's money, money you didn't have before you stepped in that door. So if that stupid bitch in the video didn't like working 70 hours a week, then maybe she should have oh I don't know quit? BK can pay whatever they want to their employee's as long as it obeys the local laws, they never said they where going to put you in a mansion by working there.

  • Jobs are not unlimited. As a single mom, you can't "just quit" and risk not finding a job. And at 70 hours, you can't job hunt while you work for them. The point is that no matter how benevolent we try to make our society seem there are people who live miserably and with no hope while simultaneously busting their ass. And when the guys at the top had ONE chance to give them a break they didn't. And noone cares; christian nation my ass. This free market delusion has gone far enough.

  • First of all I never said jobs where unlimited, all I said is that if she didn't like it go and find a new job. I'm fairly certain Burger King isn't the only job that a single mom can get no matter and no matter how many hours she may be working that's no reason why she can't go on the internet for five minutes, or even the paper and look for a better job. One that doesn't have "slave" hours.

  • No she couldn't and no they didn't.

  • this video speaks for itself

  • So we should all get paid the same?

  • No but we shall at least be able to live on the salery.

  • and CEOs who fuck up should not reap profit for fucking up.

  • Okay, everybody who wants to eat food at a place where the employees hate their jobs and their employer, Raise your hand. While the low pay is a 'legitimate' result of supply and demand in the employment market, we as a society interfere in the market for the social good regularly. An example is the Federal Reserve manimpulating interest rates. Anyone think we should allow the free market to control interest rates instead of the Fed?

  • This should also go with Mcdonald's.
