A few (ahem...) comments and questions:

1. The Battle of Salamis was after the evacuation of Athens.

2. The Persian fleet was almost totally destroyed in that battle.

3. The Athenian navy had about 200 triremes in that battle, losing 5 ships is not complete destruction

4. Is she the "Artemisia" quoted by Herodotus that rammed one of her own ships to fool (successfully) an Athenian ship that was chasing her? Or is she another person? I'd love any info on that.

Good video, but according to historians Artemisia was only comanding the ships of Halicarnassus.

And during the battle she ramned one of the persian Calyndian ships that act trickked the Greeks, who thought her ship was on their side, so she fooled them and during escaping suprised some of them. It must have been great chaos there.

Xerxes recognised her value, but she wasn't comandind the battle at Salamis, she even suggested Xerxes to avoid the battle. And she was right.

Because of the demise of the Persian fleet their massive land army, was not capable of sustaining itself with supplies & troops and lacked naval support. This eventually led to the final victory over the Persians ( Battles of Plataea and Mycale) & the end of the second Persian invasion. The rest information regarding Artemis (or Artemisia) are correct (as far as i know).
