  • hahaha..recovery..from "a" atomic attack..gotta love, the 50's..

  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR NUCLEAR WAR PREPERATION MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE A SMALL DESK NEAR FOR WHICH YOU CAN HIDE UNDERNEATH TO SHEILD YOU FROM THE NUCLEAR BLAST...........i cant believe they used to push that shit in the propaganda films.............OH THE HORROR BUILDINGS ARE DESTROYED AND ON FIRE....A NUCLEAR WIND STREAMS FOR MILES DESTROYING EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH...................BUT.........there are the children, hiding safly under there desks......no wonder they needed 9-11 for NWO

  • everything was like poetry to public anouncers back then :)

  • This is so out dated it needs up dated nobody is going too live through a nuke blast like this unless you our president or other federal gov. that has under ground living for 20years.

  • LET'S FACE IT -- A Documentary Made by Mark Zuckerberg

  • so if ur not burnt to dust

then ur blasted away.. and if u survive this

u gonna do of radiation ?... what a nice invention...

  • Wonder how many of these guys/gals died of cancer?

  • @FreakMagnet66 None. The nuclear field is one of the safest to work in in all of the world.

  • now Iran is in the cross-hairs again

  • @everettwa425 they kind of deserve it anyway

  • Read the headline below "Russ Explode H Bomb".. The Iranian nuclear threat of today was set into motion on the same day. Ironic!! Not sure, but I think the coup was backed by USA intelligence in order to put the Shah into power???

  • siempre fueron enfermos de la cabeza all american white people

  • Did i get radiation by watching that?

  • @xavier0dellamorte - yes! You will develop cancer and die soon.

  • right before the explosion did anyone notice those streams of smoke coming up? i always see those in nuclear explosions but dont know what they are

  • @chillaxer1993 Radiant heat setting fire to the structure before the sound (shock) waves hit it.

  • @chillaxer1993 Usually sounding rockets that leave a trail in the air so you can witness the shockwave deforming them.

  • 1:40 sounds like chewbacca

  • on dirai le debut d'un cartoon trop marrant l'epoque

  • I don't understand. Wouldn't those people watching the test die, or get burned from radiation? Some of them got hit with stuff.

  • @bg048 Yeah they got radiation poison and the majority of them died later. But shhh uncle sam doesnt want you to know that.

  • "what will you do" Duck and Cover :D

  • i agree, Greivingdeath. let's face it, this propagandistic style of speaking embodies what seems to have been the general air of unreality of the time, so it's perfect. watching this,i think: these people were all nuts. oh wait, these people are us.never mind.

  • 10:29

    "But no one was injured."

    .....

Until about 30 minutes later when all observers of the Atomic bomb drop dead like flies. The cause has been undetermined.

  • I remember those days, the drills, ducking under our desks in schools, etc. I remember the Cuban missile crisis, & Kennedy's assassination, the fear the engulfed everyone. And you know what? That fear is what kept everyone level headed. Now we are dealing w/a senseless killing enemy who only seeks to invoke fear upon anyone who dares to even comment about them. As it has been said, "The only thing evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing."

  • turns out they recorded the audio for this underwater..

  • @alexmac101 I think.

  • Was the explosion the signal to rise?

  • Radio frequency of 640 and 1240 Hz ? Proof that this was never released to the public as those pesky russian spies would have been supplied with the radio frequences by the ever knowing authorities.

I think the description says a lot by the US testing was for "defence" not to be confused with any sort of cold war arms race, heaven forbid if that were to have happened.

  • @Solitarious2011

The Russians can know the radio frequencies all they want. Knowing the frequencies wouldn't help them locate any US cities, which was the point of the system.

  • 9:18

"Every precaution has been taken for their safety"

    Yeah right...

  • "I have become Death. The destroyer of worlds."

  • refrigerator or not u still gonna die

  • So how many of those guys died to radioactive related deaths?

  • @PillzBerryJewBoy I think most of them. If I remember, the government had to compensate their families or something.

  • This is depressing to watch.

  • p.s- all those soldiers got radiation poisoning

  • i swear, all commentators from 1930-1969 were the same guy

  • @GREIVINGDEATH hahaha :D

  • @GREIVINGDEATH Kind of like how all movie trailers have the same narrator?

  • @MultiMcgruber you mean God...I mean Morgan Freeman.

  • @GREIVINGDEATH Commentators actually had to all talk the same way because of how audio was recorded. Back then, only certain tones / frequencies could be picked up clearly, so commentators had to speak within those parameters to be heard accurately.

  • @GREIVINGDEATH They sounded similar - good point - also the microphones of the time - especially up thru the early 50's - created a nasal sounding voice. Furthermore, we spoke differently back then. Many new words and expressions have been added to the eEnglish language.

BTW that was a small 15 kiloton "firecracker".I don't belive anything bigger than 50 kilotons was ever detonated in the Nevada desert.

  • LETS FACE IT?!?

  • what will i DO? Pull out my emergency H-bomb dose of meth. Fuck hiding under a desk. yeah because thats gonna save you from a 30 kilo ton of electronegative atoms.

  • WHY DO ALL THE OLD COMMENTATORS SOUND LIKE THIS???????

  • 10:16 and further... all these people died by cancer....

  • There's a real propaganda piece meant to scare us. Some things never change.

  • In the 1950's, they used the 'nuclear threat'.

Today, it is now 'terrorists' ...

  • @CaddenOnline

What a dumb comment. There was a serious nuclear threat back then (and still is today, it's just something we are accustomed to now)... You do realize that terrorists did actually attack though... right?

  • @CaddenOnline no not terroist.. freedom fighters hahah :)

  • I'll stick my head inbetween my legs & kiss my ass goodbye.

  • USA! USA! USA! USA!

  • DUCK AND COVER.

  • @OrionSyndicate lol and the whole duck unde the desk thing will really help pertect ppl from a blast that turns rock to class/ash xD

  • And not one was injured, just dowsed with life-ending radiation

  • wow look at 9:45 the paint burns off almost instantly then the house is blown to smitherines

  • Tragically, many of those soldiers they used as human guinea pigs, in the 1950's, ended up dieing of lung and thyroid cancer, in the 1970's.

Sadly, the VA, and US Government, denied there was any connection between young men in their 20's, after being marched through a "hot" nuclear blast zone, dieing of cancer in their 40's.

Yet today, almost 60 years later, they won't let you walk in that very same blast zone, without a respirator on, because it's still dangerously radioactive.

  • @skeilak Typical VA morons-" No it CAN'T be radiation, it must be genetic" they said the same about Agent Orange, Gulf War Syndrome, etc. Shame we don't do that testing anymore-we could always send VA employees to observe, THEN see them bitch when they come down with a cancer.

  • Did anyone notice the other story on the newspaper, at: 00:44

"Mossadegh Fate in Doubt; 300 Killed in Iran Coup"

Ironically, that little CIA engineered event, would eventually cause the world far more trouble than any Russian H-Bombs ever did.

(And also, as a direct result, we're now worried about Iran building an A-Bomb.)

  • I love the badass with the beard, doesn't duck and keeps his hat like a boss.

  • is this narrarated by Morgan Freeman?!

  • That thunderbolt siren sounds like it needs MAJOR repairs...

  • The governmnet has always shit on our vets....

  • that guy can now shoot lasers out of his eyes.

  • Now that's high def right there

  • If only they knew...

  • Wow, what a propaganda piece! lol

  • funny how all those men didn't have a clue they got radiation poisoning from being there.

  • haha Federal Signal siren.

  • Bam right in there face.. yup there screwd

  • 10:16 so much respect

  • Ameridorks .....;-)) !

  • The dude at 10:16 who just stood there and took a nuclear blast to the face and didn't even so much as flinch is a boss.

  • @TheWettBandits LOL IT WAS A MANIKAN

  • @pbsparta250r no he pulls his hand up to his mouth. watch it again

  • @gokarter57275 it was already on his mouth you didnt see it cause there was a guy standing in the way

  • @TheWettBandits Yeah his face fell off later that week.

  • @TheWettBandits YA THEY DONT MAKE G.I.'S LIKE THEY USED TO

  • @TheWettBandits LOL. He knew the camera was pointed directly at him and there was no way he was going to look like a pussy on film! hahaha

  • @TheWettBandits He also died of nuclear radiation LIKE A BOSS!

  • @TheWettBandits thats because he eats nuclear dust for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! And shits radioactive isotopes!

  • @TheWettBandits ...ya then he died of cancer lol

  • @TheWettBandits hell yeh, bet he has super sperm

  • @TheWettBandits No... Much more than a boss. A hero...

  • @TheWettBandits u gave me a troll face

  • DUCK AND COVER you will be fine HONEST god said

  • this is what humans will be known for.

  • "Railway track that lead to nowhere, for this is the end of the line."

    lol

  • @SomeoneCommenting probably because it's not true. They didn't all die, dumbass.

My neighbor was present for Grable, and he just died last November at 92!

  • I KNEW IT! my friends dad was part of this operation.. that explains why my friend looks like "the goonies"

  • And narrator continues...

"and then all brave Americans with their super powers walked among the radioactive debris after the test in order to assess the damage. Their super lungs and skin prevented any radioactive contamination to affect their awesome invulnerable American bodies. In their minds was only one thing 'ha ha we will screw all other countries, not ourselves' "....

Then months later all of them developed cancer and died, but of course, the government never told that to the people.

  • I WANNA SEE NEW TEST WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY!!!!

  • ...maybe no injuries immediately after the blast, however years later many of those soldiers developed leukemia and other cancers from the radioactive dust that they inhaled. At the time humanity seemed so naive concerning the real effects of radiation and thermonuclear forces.

    ...or were we?

Civil Defence was a smokescreen to lead people into a false sense of security that they actually could survive a thermonuclear attack on our cities.

...duck and cover and kiss your arse goodbye baby.

  • @kyotokid4 Our local civil defence plan was to get everyone into caves under the cliffs on the coast... Where they would die.

The plan had nothing to do with saving lives and every thing to do with solving the problem of hundreds of thousands of corpses.

  • minute 10:25, "As the tower of smoke and flame looms over them one thing is upper most in all minds"....Get me the fuck out of here, I'm sure glad I'm not those guys in the trenches. "the troops are led in for a tour of the area..." Lab Rats all

  • Triangles, triangles, triangles triangles

  • so that's why we use drywall instead of plywood nowadays..

  • This is a very weird question but how come the camera's don't get damaged :D

  • Did he really say awesome power...??? WTF!!! FUCK EVERY GOVERNMENT!!! Expect Us

  • hey we have new bomb .. lets test it !!! :)

    boooooob...

and fallout game in real life starts XD

we soo smart that we can test Nuclear ,atomic bomb on earth

  • america actually has to take these precautions because they are so scared of what other country's might do to them.

  • @MegaGreendayfan101 ur kidding right

  • @infinityward0

I sure hope dat greendayfan101 is trolling ... for the sake of human kind :)

  • 9:33 is when all hell breaks loose.

  • Don't face it! You'll go blind!

  • He talks funny,

  • I don't get how the hispeed cameras could stand still and record in places where the blast was displacing everything (I guess they must have been in much better reinforced positions.

  • @scenscoff you arent the only one.

  • im i the only one who waches this out of morbid curiousty

  • Death by cancer.

  • Indiana Jones knew how to survive these blasts by using a refrigerator.

  • @mwelle1 Lead Lined One Too.

  • @mwelle1 FREEDOMFRIDGE!?

  • And, let's face it! We are f***ked!

  • I wonder how many of the troops in this movie died of cancer

  • @MrMadison1776 many it was a scandal during the 70s and 80s

  • so much fun lets do it again

  • You know all those poor guys in the trench must have died of leukemia, at the very least. Unreal.

  • @cpmondello WTF MAN!?!?!?!

  • I lived in Las Vegas Nevada from 1959 through 1963 with my brother and a friend of his that worked at Mercury, Nevada. He and hundreds of other construction workers worked on that site and built fake communities all the way from dummies in homes, TV's, etc. When they dropped an atomic bomb, he and other workers would check out the destruction from the bombs. They wore face masks, but the army wore entire radiation suits. Ironically, he said the only animal that survived were Cockroaches.

  • 9:18 "Every precaution has been taken for their safety" hahaha my ass maybe they should have told them of the long term affects from the radiated dust being blown toward them and settling around them in their "safe trenchs" Just goes to say NEVER trust what the government tells you.

  • "Mom! Our house is on the telly! Come wa...."

  • You gotta think..how many people actually grasped the fact that if theres a nuke coming towards your area..theres nothing you can do.

  • is it just mee or that triangle with the "cd" inside looks like the "all seeing eye" (i'm not talking about lord of the rings)

  • Everywhere is illuminatie!........creepy man!

  • @nemetsk ya only if you dont consider how much of our food is grown in the mid west

  • US makes nuke = define themselves heroes

Russia makes nuke = USA define them as monsters

  • "Let's face it... humans are stupid"

  • I bet everyone who was in the test city died later a radiation sickness and cancer

  • They try to make the testing look all official but lets face it, they're just kids having fun with matches

  • luckily there's no important targets in the center of america

  • @nemetsk no worry radiation and fallout would still reach you from nearby cities

  • All those men who "Faced its fury" are dead.

  • Stupid american people.

  • 0:49 "mossadegh fate in doubt; 300 killed in iran coup" right under BIG BOLD "RUSS EXPLODE H-BOMB"

oh well, i'm sure that whole iran coup thing will just blow over. much less important than russia.

  • I find his distorted voice to be all too fitting for this

  • @IDontKnowCorp haha i know huh

  • Produced at Lookout Mountain, near Laurel Canyon. You should read Dave McGowan's research into the military + laurel canyon music scene. Manson recorded with Zappa and Beach Boys. Tons behind this story that nearly no one knows.

  • "now all the soldiers involved cant have kids or else they will be looking like "the goonies".

  • Let's face it, this video is bullshit. If the Soviets ever launched a full scale attack, the US would have been a pile of rubble.

The Soviets had 30 000 warheads in 1983.

  • @lolmao500 Awesome critical thinking. I love your satirical use of the headline in the video. =)

"What will you do? What will happen to you?" You'll bend over and kiss your ass goodbye as your cute little fallout shelter is vaporized along with every other semblance of civilization when 10-20 hydrogen bombs hit your metropolitan area. THAT was the reality of thermonuclear war. Or should I say still is...

  • @jaymum23 Yay even you do stay in a lead shield bunker hope you packed enough shit for the next couple of century's

  • The USA is the largest terrorist organization ever known to man, a rogue nation, expecting all others to follow International Law, while they refuse AND hold Veto power on decisions made at the very International Criminal Court that oversees the world. I can only hope I am gone when the US pays for its actions, 9/11 is just childs play to whats coming.

  • @cpmondello and that mean people need to die? I'm tired of being a human being that will only think for themselves. Greed. If only people got along together. If only...

  • Crazy sick people, crazy world!

  • i believe that the island in 5:00 that was nuke-tested is still radio-active in 2012 today

  • People were crazy before 2000... that was good.

  • War ...war never changes.

  • 10:14 Guy is like "BOOOOOOM, ARTILLERY!"

  • Hmm, there's a nuclear blast headed my way. Should I duck in this trench or just stand here and take it? I think I'll just stand here. What's the worst that could happen?

  • RE:

    DECLASSIFIED???

No, this was public info before you were born thats all

  • @koldfushen lol right i wasnt alive when this was made, but i knew after the frst 30 seconds it was never classified...

  • how did the people standing up not die?

  • i want Mystery Science Theater 3000 to redo this clip

  • 10:12 Now that guy that stayed upright deserves a medal.

  • So, did the scientists and people all die because of radiation poisoning?

  • @shoemakerleve9 Idk maybe you should watch the entire video

  • @shoemakerleve9 i'm not for sure, but more than likely yes.

  • @shoemakerleve9 I was thinking the exact same thing because the blast that went over them contained hundreds of rads of radiation + the poeple walking around in the aftermath

  • 9:32........WHAT THE FU---BOOOOOOM MUHAHAHAHA

  • ever wonder how you got to the video you are currently watching? i started watching 4 wheeling videos i have no idea how i got here

  • 10:15

That guy in the middle = like a boss !

  • Science used for evil

  • Gotta love how clueless they were. Ya sweet we just got COMPLETELY SOAKED in radioactive dust but its over.....we're good.

  • What will you do? Die, of course!

  • The middle of the US obviously wasn't important. And still isn't. Hah.

  • shaking in their boots, were they ;)

  • zebra striped thunderbolt cool

  • @FelicianB

actually hydrogen bomb is nothing but a fission bomb. They use deutrium and tritium to produce more neurons. So more fission take place. Other neutron producing material is lithium. So hydrogen bomb means bigger blast wave, bigger destruction.
