  • I am a human before I am an American. This book is full of great facts.

  • we know how to fight good against evil... you americans don`t know shit.

  • FAREED FOR PRESIDENT!

  • I just read this book and I really enjoy it. What I find refreshing about the book is that it adds a different voice to the narrative. Even do he was educated in the USA you can see Zakaria's ability to examine the USA, China and India from a outsider perspective but with all the knowledge of an insider. The only other writer that does this at this time is Juan Enriquez Author of as the future catches you. It really takes living in multiple nations to be able to examine nations.

  • I cant stand you Zakaria, most unoriginal and borderline plagiarizer I ve ever seen,

  • What a great book. I think everyone needs to read it. He is one of the few people who knows what they are talking about.

  • I find his comments little bias , not that I have a personal issue with this person, a respectful man just don't like the way he presents. with all my due respects.

  • Fareed Zakaria. Trilateral Commission. Bilderberg Group attendee. Master globalist propagandist.

  • @historypoliticsbb Stop watching Zeitgeist.

  • @atoz25 You're right I should just pay my license fee, and watch the BBC. They do a great job.

  • Zakaria: “I would enact a 50 percent inheritance tax, because nothing is more un-American than an inherited elite that perpetuates itself”

Zakaria and MSM liberals are beyond socialism

  • The Post-American World is a very good book. In line with Planet India (by Mira Kamdar) and The Writing on the Wall, China and the west in the 21st century (by Will Hutton) and The New Asian Hemisphere: The Irresistible Shift of Global Power to the East (by Kishmore Mahbubani).

  • A satellite flyover of the United States in the next 15 years will read "Made In China"

  • Can't wait for China to be the top Superpower!

  • @BrianCardova go ahead and take for granted the US being the dominate super power. dont however take for granted China not being the super power. if or when China becomes the Super power of the world, you will be eating you words.

  • @paulinotou I'm not doubting that they will be, It was sarcastic enthusiasm regarding the fact. . .-_-

  • he is the most boring , monotonic . flat , one side and yet no side jornalist that I have ever seen, I read his book . the post-world america. 54 page of same topic. america is in financial crisis others are getting better. on twitter, he twittes every 10 days and again always repeats the same topics. what a flat personality.

  • @persia1324 who do you recommend?

  • This guys living in la la land. One would think that he's representing the world the way he speaks....kinda hard to tell that he's an "American" cough cough.

Oh it's just a peaceful rise of China and other eastern powers...together we can all live together peacefully, sip tea, and water flowers in a garden. Give me a break.

    Merica Forever!

  • ....Read the Next 100 years.......Ask yourself is the future about cheap labor,or is about tech, automation, and the cheapest most reliable electricity...

  • CORINTHIANS 30 MILLIONS OF FANS !

    _|_

  • Fareed Zakaria is not for america or china, he is for india only!

  • Fareed > You

  • He's right you know. We have great advantages but I hate it when extremists in our politics think they know what they're doing.

  • the U.S is not declining. It's that other nations are rising. Fast. It's almost like an optical illusion, compounded by the fact that we just came out of a nasty recession but on the path towards normal growth.

  • i feel that the US will never fall off the chain of power. we will alwways be somewhere at the top but that doesnt mean other countries wont become powerful.

  • @ thereturnofluker. It does not want to trash the Constitution. He insinuated that it probably woundn't be the worst idea in the world to amend it. You really think the electoral college is the best way to determine a presidential election? You think giving the same amount of sway in the Senate to states with very small populations the same say as California, New York, and Texas? It was writtten over 200 hundred years ago, why not take a second look at it?

  • This man is my hero.

  • And THIS guy can't be President because of the bullshit "natural born" clause. That shit needs to change.

  • Why don't any of you sheeple ask this neocon clown where the fuc* he thinks the 2 trillion his CFR buddy Rumsfeld spouted off about on 9-10-01 is?These clowns can't scam me..the move was set in motion with this Bin Laden Hollywood spectacle(THE FIRST STEP OF A NASTY 3 STEP FALSE FLAG)with the final step being the construction of a 1000 mile wide parking lot in Iran!

  • This MORON(ZAKARIA) recently stated on CNN that a "peaceful" revolution was spreading in the ARAB world! PEACEFUL! How about civil wars in:LIBYA,SYRIA,YEMEN AND THOUSANDS KILLED IN TUNISIA,BAHRAIN AND EGYPT! SHAME ON YOU ZAKARIA! PEACEFUL! WTF!

  • What a turd this guy is. I didn't watch the vid but did read his anti-Caucasian CNN blog a few minutes ago. If it were up to me, this foreign-born racist ingrate would be tarred and feathered and then booted unceremoniously out of the country! He can take the "whitey's holding you down" cancer he spreads back with him to the toilet he was born in. Honesty, just kick the scumbag's ass out of here!!

Btw, same for ted koppel; he started this culture of hate-on-whitey, he can go back to England NOW

  • @guyNbluejeans Liking the spam bro.

  • @BeastoFrancisco I like getting the truth out there.

  • @guyNbluejeans whitey...lol please. If you can't debate worth shit don't attempt to do it on youtube and not even show your face while you do it. Then again...this post is meaningless. Nobody important is reading this now and deciding future policies

  • @LordKaisen Please, try and make some sense.

  • Taking into account that this interview was made in 2008, it really amazes me how accurate Fareed Zakaria's points are. Many are unable to think deep and come to terms with these points in 2011, yet he made them in 2008.

In international affairs, three years is a very long time. I wonder what he would say today.

  • Sure the growth of China and India is good. But what about the income disparities? What about the standard of living for China and India? I think those states are going to have to deal with a angry lower class that wants a piece of the pie, kind of the same way the US did in the early 20th century. What happens for them?

Maybe the growth is good for a select few people in these countries and the underclass are just collateral damage

  • zakaria a smelly paki or hindi pig mfer

  • @bibihenna He's American, you ignorant bitch and definitely much more educated than you.

  • Zakaria made some excellent points. But he almost completely ignored climate change. If we don't deal with climate issues, all other issues will seem trivial because of the devastating changes in world climate (droughts, floods, etc.). We've just seen hints of these changes; they will be much worse in the future if we don't take action quickly.

  • Fareed as a name is an Arabic word, which means 'active, hardworker, shrewd or brilliant'.

No doubt he is brilliant. Watch his CNN program on how to restore America's dream. Fix the antiquated Politics..

  • Zakaria claims that the collapse of the US and the fallout of it could not have been predicted.Lies.

Zakaria is a member of the CFR so Zakaria ought to read their own policy papers. Also its an attempt to deflect the truth behind the Globalist agendas that planned all of this decades ago. There is just lie after lie in this interview.Zakaria is a traitor and also finds Natural Rights and a Constitution "Funny"

I also had to listen to the vidoe without the picture as he is so ugly.

    POS NWO CUNT

  • @peterwwolf

You are just in denial, bitches, everything he says makes sense - Founding Father worship, an elite hostile to change in status quo, a rotting infrastructure, a lack of commitment to innovation and education, refusal to reference other countries as examples due to belief of exceptionalism, lack of lobbying groups supporting measures that would had save America. If more than anything, America will fall. I have nothing against the constitution though, and there is no natural rights

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93

You are not worth my time as you are obviously ignorant about the causes of the problems in the US but you did contradict yourself by saying "I have nothing against the constitution" yet say "there is no natural rights" when its the US Constitution that sets out your natural rights .

The fact you claim "there is no natural rights" tells me everything i need to know about you.

    Globalist POS.

Dont reply to me or waste any more of my time.

  • @peterwwolf

Of course, it is not in my interest to bother ultranationalists who are stupid enough to believe in NWO conspiracy theories and so arrogant in their belief of American exceptionalism that they fail to see the rotten heart of their country and ignore the genuinely important elements of improvements that would save the US

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93

    Go away @VoiceOfStupidity.

You are just someone on the internet who is irrelevent and naive.

    Goodbye.

  • @peterwwolf

You too. Hope you don't mind the dirt shoving into your face - we will bury you

  • mr Fareed supports corporate fascism, because obviously commoners cannot run there own government, we need these multi-billionaire's who have grown there system of banking and corporation into our government illegally to decide for us how the country should work, Mr Obama is continuing Bush's wars, warrantless wiretapping, consolidation of government under corporate rule through executive orders. The same corporate fascist system that made the world hate America is now posing as the savior.

  • The future has been given to others by the thief-in-hood! Are you mad or just stupid?

  • Simply hearing a calm and rational discussion about the future and America's place in it is very refreshing. Too bad you're not likely to hear such a discussion in American media.

  • @dalpaugh BBC America is American Media, it is a very large British outlet in the US, oh ftw, Mr Fareed is good friends with Henry Kissinger and the rest of the bankers, i think its great that you want to live in a consolidated corporate government system. Yes letting these banks that have raped and looted many countries through there fraud should run our world and create a global system and tax us all for anything they want.

  • @FlamingLavaOwl

Henry Kissinger is a believer in realpolitik, where America is only as good as a doornob and that pragmatism must be ahead of irksome selective preachiness. He normalized relationship btw US and China in late 60s, brought a face saving formula to withdraw from Vietnam, bring about a territorial settlement between Egypt and Israel following the '73 war, and manage to sign off the arms reduction SALT treaty. If more than anything, he knows how to run US better than you do, hoe

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 um I am sorry but Fareed is an enemy to this country just like Bush, just like Cheney, just like Obama, just like all the rest of the corporate bankster pigs payed for media left right paradigm bullshit. I refuse to live in a Chinese style authoritarian state just because private banks have looted this country dry.

  • @FlamingLavaOwl

Than start a resistance movement and get shot.

  • For example, in spite of the terrorism and violence, he shows that the past 20 years have been some of the most 'peaceful' - relatively - period of the world.

The main theme of the book is that the US is not in decline but that 'others are rising'. And that is actually for the good and that it is the result of the active spread of globalization that the US championed. Zakaria advances a good deal of statistics and analysis to back his contention.

  • This is an important and optimistic book about America and its future. While it is fashionable now to predict gloom about America's future as an economic and political power and over emphasise the rise of China and other powers, Zakaria brings a balance thru his analysis and says that there is no need to push the panic button. On the contrary, he shows the many positives about America as well as the world today.

  • 3 weeks ago Fareed has a checkered past-I know an electrician that works in Atlanta and did some work on the studios at CNN and he said the camera men found an old police report that Fareed had been cited for lewd acts with a minor (9 year old boy) when Zakaria was in college. The kids' parents didn't want it to go public and they settled out of court but Fareed also was banned from coaching children's sports in that city.

  • At least they allow comments here. CNN/newsweek doesn't.

  • He's over-exaggerating certain things. 1.1 Billion of China's 1.3 Billion citizens live below a decent standard of living. It's a third world country. Almost all of its wealth is on the coast. China depends upon the US for its economy. If the US went into a depression, China would collapse.

The USA's economy is larger than the world's next four largest economy's combined. Are people getting closer to the USA? Yes, but it's not really close.

  • USA = HITLER

    Dont forget IRAQ war crimes

  • @seabear145 your a dumb ass

  • @ASentinel2 I heard that you like to suck cocks from a barber you once went too....

  • @Shadowcry1000 I heard you are sucking cock right now, and tea bagging at the same time while your partners force feces into your nostrils... LOL

  • @ASentinel2

I heard you promptly masturbated to that rumour.

Atleast one of us is getting action.

    You still need your hand.

  • @ASentinel2 GET THESE COMMENTS OFF!!!

  • DEMOCRACY IS FAKE!!!

  • DIE AMERICA!!!

  • Why glen beck, hannity and colmes when we have journalist such as him.

  • @jad1025 Fareed is a NWO scum but I must say that his book is the best book I've read in 5 years! Amazingly well detailed and he backs up everything he says! Glen Beck is a fucking retard. Hannity is a closet homosexual and they both work for Satan himself! Ruppert Murdoch...

  • "...the rest of the world is thriving...that's producing a more stable world."

    "everyone on average gets richer..."

Fareed Zakaria is an asset to the establishment, not America. His views on most anything are not taken serious by serious people because almost of all his positions involve some major unstated point that is usually wrong to begin with. One commenter noted that Zakaria is a "hack." That's true.

  • @PatrickWJ Give an example? Because I can't think of a single thing he's ever said that isn't based on just pure fact.

  • he is such an intelligent being. he gives extremely insightful thoughts about how the world is evolving. brilliant.

  • I am American.

I want America to cease being the Worlds Power.

I want the Israelis happy..I want them to defend themselves without our help.

I want the ARABS happy.. I want them to extract their own oil and find a buyer

I want Europe happy...you are happy to commit cultural suicide ..enjoy it.

I want South American happy..Stay home..dont use America as garbage can for immigrants

I want China go to be happy..sell your garbage to Africa..they have the money.

    See..everyones happy.

  • ok whoever wrote that. there was no country(in political terms) called Bharat from the dawn of time to when british left establishing the country of India. Bharat or Aryavrat was a socio-political identity of the ancient Hindu settlent till about late iron age..but much of it today really is a nostalgic and nationalistic concept.. India today is really an amalgum of thousands of diff cultures and histories! And honestly thats better than sum throw back to an pre ancient hindu nostalgia.

  • Farred freaking communist! Easy talk America destruction having a high pay check. Give up American Green Card, I will take you to life in Venezuela for 4 years. mediocre

  • The rise of the rest - Zakaria undoubtedly a great intellect asset to the world - must watch -

  • hey Fareed r u no more INdian !!

    you sad we american!!!

  • One of the best socio economic studies i've ever read

  • Dude looks like William Dafoe.

  • Fareed is a learned idiot. He would have us diminished in our power, as if that is somehow a better global position. When American dominance and exceptionalism is diluted, as extreme leftists like Zakaria want, then the world will deteriorate more rapidly than it is now.

  • @BullrunREALITY He doesn't want it you moron. He is saying that it IS happening. And yes it is happening. The rise of China, India, Brazil and the SE Asian Nations as the next economic giants WILL shift the paradigm of world power and America's dominance. The game is changing and Zakaria is saying that America needs to prepare and re-discover itself to be the key player in the new world. Because, as he as said time and time again, the core principles of American Ideals are STILL better.

  • @BullrunREALITY What is "leftist" about Zakaria? I've been reading his columns in Newsweek for a long time and his opinions are very moderate, centrist and actually rather accurate.

  • America in crisis, while China and India are growing?

Well, they could at least say "Thank You" to the whore politicians and corporate prostitutes who sent them all our jobs.

    American Socialism Now!

  • Thop1984...Have you been to Asia recently? Have you been to Brazil recently? Ya! I don't think so. If you did, you would know what he is talking about, you ethnocentric prick!

  • This really should be required reading in the US! It's an enthralling book!

  • He look like 9/11 Mohmamd Atta Brother

  • hmmm, and you see to talk like Atta's Brother :-)

  • this man is so intelligent and well spoken. I remember reading his article about the post-american world in newsweek magazine a year ago or so and it was brilliant. He really knows what he is talking about. I need to try to catch his show Sundays again.

  • @xoaliciaxoangel

    lol dude?

    he is a liar...

how come in his book he wrote Buddha was born in India when the fact is Buddha was born in Nepal...

  • @thenabin

    1.) I am not a "dude."

2.) I don't about know about that about him saying whatever about buddha, but I'm getting his book, The Post American world this week and I can't wait. So, I will read it for myslef and see if he indeed said that or not.

  • @thenabin

haha wow your the one who needs to go back to history class. Buddha was born in India cause back then nepal, pakistan, and bangladesh were all part of India. Those countries didnt exist. These countries formed just a while ago.

  • @tennismaster3211

    formed while ago?

so u were born when these countries were formed? o.O

u indians tries to take everything of others...

Even u made fake kapilvastu to prove it lol

  • @thenabin

buddha was supposedly born 2500 years ago. 50 years is nothing compared to 2500 years. I was talking in comprasion to buddha's birthday. In history 5 decades is not alot....

  • @tennismaster3211

India, as a country never existed until the British came. The British ruled a significant part of the Indian subcontinent (including present day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh). Nepal was somehow able to retain its sovereignty even after the British came as neither side won the war. Nepal was later forced to sign the "Sugauli Treaty" under which Nepal lost 1/3rd of its territory which now remains with India (UP, HP, some parts of Bihar and West Bengal).

  • @tennismaster3211

Buddha was born in ancient Nepal (Kapilvastu, Lumbini). "Ancient India" never existed. There were small kingdoms all over the Indian subcontinent. Nepal as a nation state is older than India, contributed by the British. Buddha is Nepal's national heritage and no one can twist the historical fact. Loudmouths like Indian media can bark as much as they want.

  • India did exist, it just wasnt called India, it was called Bharat, and before that AryaVrat...

  • @str8desi

Noone is denying that the landmass which is now called India existed. When when you claim that and give it so many names, you should also be respectful other lands in her neighborhood. It is totally intolerable when India denies our heritage, Buddha being one. Fareed is another "intellectual" who pretends to know geo-political realities of South Asia.

  • Frei is a fucking douchebag. He's so biased and he doesn't have a clue as to what's going on in the US.

  • Americans don't have any clue as to what's going on in their own country you fucking douchebag

  • @ColtBarrettUSA

    Have you read the book?

  • I read fareed zakaria 's ''Post American World" Although this is well written book but it is specifically from American point of view This book sees China has a competitor and India as an ally, for maintaining american hegemony For me this view is distorted and biased , in this world we have to work together to attain harmonious society In my view big nation should should eradicate suspicion from smaller nation's mindset. And this require peaceful & honest cooperation

  • Fareed is without a doubt the smartest person on Tv right now! I wonder how many of the "haters" here have actually read his books. I have and actually feel more optimistic about the future. Albeit a different future where America is not the sole dominate force. But a future where America is the most prominate player amongst many other countries who have to play a big part because we are all so intertwind with one another. This may be frightening to some. But sharing the burnden is good for all.

  • @schwartzengraber

How about this..how about if America tells you and your

pals to fvck off and fend for yourself. Hows that for

    cooperation?

  • @schwartzengraber PEACEFUL REVOLUTIONS IN ARAB WORLD-ZAKARIA! Peaceful?! WHAT A OBAMATRON

    TROLL!

  • @Liebana1000 you don't think it's peaceful? Well, not peaceful for the murderers and crooks in their political system.

  • @schwartzengraber "smartest person on TV right now." he wanted to trash the Constitution .

  • @gregsobekofficial

    Err, hes actually Muslim

  • Obam is reading this book now. They caught him holding it in a foto

  • FAREED ZAKARIA: CNN GPS :: NEWSWEEK EDITOR

Why you fear mongering Trilateral inplaced douchebag. Thats quite a coverstory you did on Newsweek. Nuclear detonation. Since when did news become yellow journalism? Since you were inplaced, out of thin air nobody, into frontseat of Newsweek. Check on his own website, he proudly boasts membership on the Trilateral commission. Check on the Trilateral commissions own website, there is Fareed Z. on the member list. Newsweek=NationalENQUIRER

  • Someone replied to my post. You did so kindly. Thank you. No I have not read the book and probably will not. I read a lot so pick and choose carefully. My main book is the Bible which will immediately turn many off. It encourages me and gives me great direction, particularly towards eternity.

The man articulates well. Our faith is probably not the same. Will seek to learn more about him.

America could still be a great, sovereign power. 2 Chron 7:14

  • If he is a man of faith then yours is no different because instead of working to make the world a better place you throw up your hands and say "well its gods will!"

    foolish

  • This was an excellent book

  • Have you read the book? Refer to: 5:15

Zakaria is an asset as an American intellect. He's a political realist who understands the dynamics of global politics more than most. If you read the book, you'll understand that the book is not at all against any specific nation, let alone the U.S. It's actually book aiming to solidify America as the model that got us (as global citizens) over a hump. It's a book about the legacy of the U.S. and how the world finally "gets it" You'd probably like it

  • @endsequence

He is a left wing hack for Newsweek.

Intellect? He is a moron..who is so confused

that, well, he works for newsweek

  • Please read the book

  • Our decline started since we kicked God out of our institutions. 55 million abortions since 73, Men are killings their fams and committing suicide because of finances, ilicit sex is rampant and encouraged by Clinton, our schools have become madrasas of liberalism, refusal to teach creationism, drug use on the rise, high pornography, total disrespect for life. Yup! USA is doomed. She's imploding. That means it's from withing.

  • Are you mad?

  • Huh? Let me check.

  • Hey! I feel fine. Thanks for asking.

  • Conservatives who complain about how evil society is today because some god is being left out of modern thought are like Liberals who complain that capitalism is evil. If you ask me, both extremes, if they had their way, would probably still have us in the feudal dark ages. I am so glad there are realists like Zakaria.

  • The Dark Ages are characterized by the lack of faith, which opens up the flood gates of world genocide, unbridled immorality and corruption. Zakaria goes to and fro intellectualizing the situation while Unites States sinks into financial, moral, and societal decay.

  • Comment removed

  • Secularist government and atheism are this age's Feudalist system. The church is violently shoved far away by Separation of Church and State. The Light is getting dimmed. History repeats itself. Enter the Dark Ages of 21st Century.

  • Look back at what life was like during any theocracy. I'm not 100% versed in theocratic governance, but from what I remember, the death penalty was applied to the most mundane "offences"

Theocracy is more tyrannical than Democracy ever could be.

  • I am not personally rooting for theocracy. American Founding Fathers are there with you. The problem I here is the departure from their original intent. Separation of Church and State has been misconstrued and we have moved the nation from Under God and now we have the resurgence of the Dark Ages. Id say Secular Humanist or Atheism is worse.

  • You are out of your mind!

The rest of the world is not growing at 9%

you should read this book before comment about how great the writer is !

  • America must be abolished.

  • The one whom is most responsible for terorism in the world is that fucking Ronald McDonald and his diabetic stooge, Grimace.

  • hahaha, this vid is funny. OF COURSE, its an american hating, liberal, muslim. You people are just not smart! America helps people and everyone hates us for it.

    ~~DON'T TREAD ON ME~~

  • Patriot I agree totally, but one of the biggest mistake our country made was to allow Bill Clinton to go to War against Serbia a Christian Country, Look how all has Changed since then. He had to get the attention away from Monica and the Cigar he Kindly Gave to Netenahu after monica polished it for him. All Downhill Bro, LOng live the forefathers who had the Vision for this Great Country called The U.S. A. ,, Zacharia there is a lake I know waiting for you to jump in !

  • Its got nothing to do with attacking Serbia. America's decline is four-fold; loss of traditional societal and moral values (1960's), loss of patriotic fervor and the rise of the fashionable hippy/counter-culture movement (1960's-70's), the increasing lack of will of the U.S. government and people to do what is necessary in wartime (Vietnam onwards), and the decline in the quality of the U.S. military due to political correctness and letting women into the armed forces (80's).

  • I am not dissagreeing with you my friend, I totally agree. It is getting worse as we spaeak. I just jumped ahead a few years in a war that hurt me as an American Orthodox Christian that had ancestors, killed by those ottomans that made false claims for land in a Christian Country, God Bless America, God Bless Our Forefathers for their wisdom in the constitution we have moved away from.

  • if US-amerika gets anothe Bushlike President, the european union gona join even more together and then smash the USA and whipe it of tha map forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why your news agency is not reporting about 2 japanese got arrested for trying to smuggle $134 billion worth T-bills to swiss banks event? Is this another example of news agencies conspire with political and business elites?!

  • the 134 billion are fack

  • this guy is sharp, great video

  • Guy is brilliant. We need more liberal Muslims like him.

  • Comment removed

  • He works with Osama Bin Laden! i know him.

  • It is the big mistake of the US to give the opportuinity for those fuckinh muslim terrorist's to setteldown in the states and to spread there ISLAMIC hatred ad poison's in the world. The one whom is responsible about this bloddy situation is those fucking Democrat's.

  • You are full of hate LOL. Did Muslims do something to you i'm sorry i dont speak for all them but sure a lot of terrorist are Muslim. take care and enjoy life sure i'm and good luck.

  • America's problem is not only economic. They lack the moral authority to impose our culture over theirs. They - on their side - lack the moral correction to impose judgement on ours and to bring God's judgement on the US. This is NOT economics. It is MORAL. Zakaria's culture obviously is not western; it is probably muslim's. The interviewer obviously can't understand why - after opening the markets - the east is still trying to debunk the US. China is only riding along. They want to be No 1.

  • Fareed is an Indian Muslim and a New American. And no he is not debunking the US, he understands it and is hoping others as well, as a new American myself, I can see what he is talking about and dont understand why. He is a balanced guy with a very point of view attitude, rare by todays standards.

  • yeah well as " new " american you would ...

  • of course I would, I live here, its a great country, its been good to me I stand by what I say 100 %.

  • or maybe you have no guts to stand by your own people ? coward ?

  • what has India got to do with it ? and why the hostility ? he is talking about the US, not my people, maybe you dont have a point ? still do not understand what you are trying to say ?

  • He watch indians media like aajtak and other shit television and then spread his views on CNN.

  • well CHALLENGE didnt you hear the part about the poll that said 83% of Americans beleive their country is heading in the wrong direction? you think you would find such survey results in India or Brazil??

So before you bash Fareed as being an idiot, you get your shit together bro.

  • Right from the start this idiot is making false statements. "The rest of the world is buoyant while USA is sinking." This guy seriously needs to check his economic figures.

  • The interviewer asks a stupid question:

China cared for the Chinese after the earthquake. This kind of behavior is very American (god knows why he thinks like that?), and, therefore, when practiced by other countries is a danger to the US. So loving one's own people has been patented?

Do you call yourself a journalist, mister? Think about it.

  • how many times are you going to ask/coment the same question...

  • Zakaria is one of the few journalists I actually pay attention to. Very informed and intelligent.

  • This guy has, by far, the best show on US cable news. I have no idea why CNN hides it in a mid Sunday timeslot.

There's a reason why he pulls such great guests/interviews.

  • Fareed Zakaria is an excellent Journalist and his book is a must read for those who are interested in the future of the US. We are still no. 1, but we must be realistic about for how long. Personally, I would keep an eye on India more than China as a rising power (economic & military) because they are a Democracy and they are excellent software engineers.

  • very intelligent man. his show is pretty good too.

however...is it just me....or does he look like an indian version of William Defoe.....?
