Not until I saw her guest star in 'Bones' did I realize that she was not only still around, but that she was doing quite well and has good command of the english language. Color me impressed, I'm sure she worked pretty hard for it.

The 'it' is meant as the role for the show so if you phrase it as 'I'm sure she worked pretty hard for the role (her appearance of the show) there really isn't anything wrong with it. Internet is full of horrid grammar and spelling, you'd be wasting your time nit-picking on misspelled and/ or improper use of words. Just sayin'

ネイティブ並みに完璧に発音を求めるのは酷だろ、、アグネス・チャン見りゃ分かるだろ、、３５年以上日本に居るんだぜ。。
聖子は大したもんだよ、あの時代に日本から飛び出して挑戦したんだから
英語の発音にしてもアメリカ自体がヒスパニック系や中華系が増加してアメリカ人自体が正しい発音出来ないんだから…。

アメリカ人の主人も聖子さんのファンで楽しみにしていたのですが彼女の英語は発音がよく分からないとガッカリしていました。
期待が大きすぎたのかもしれません。
聖子さんはやはり歌っているのが一番素敵だと思います。

当時は芸能にしてもスポーツにしても今より遥かにアメリカとの距離感があった時代、なのに聖子ちゃんは華奢な身体ひとつで挑んでいって日本での活動と同様にTVに映る姿を見てますますファンになりました。

いや〜びっくりした。アメリカで好きな番組みてたらゲスト出演してくるしその上英語うまいんだもん。それまで彼女がまだ活動していることさえしらんかった。
