I did this in flight simulator on my computer once. I wanted to "see the big city", and so I picked the beginner-friendly Cessna, and the first airport listed as being in New York City. Turned out that "airport" was the helipad atop one of the World Trade Center towers, so my take-off looked pretty much like the one depicted in this clip... XD
Amazing how scientifically accurate the sequence is. Albatross are wonderful fliers, but the going up and coming down parts are hard for them, what with their massive bodies, enormous wingspans and short legs. Taking off like that probably took almost all the enrgy Orville had.
Hmm, no naked woman in this video either. Supposed to be at the yellow window with the shades at 0:57. I know it's weird that I'm looking for that. I was just wondering if I could spot it.
@SirenSima This must be taken from a copy of the movie where the naked woman was edited out as she was for future releases after that huge fuss about her in 1991.
Oh I remember this movie. Loved the Rescuers both the first and the second one. Second one was probably my favorite, because I loved the little boy and the Giant Golden Eagle. I would love to ride that eagle like the boy did in the movie. Like riding a dragon or something XD
That's a sight to behold when Orville rears up his mighty body for real at 0:26, I wished I was one of the mice to feel that. I just love that movie! :)
@Davey647 just to let you and all you guys know in both movies....Bernard is voiced by Bob Newhart...wich his show was popular in the mid to late 70's...It was in re-runs when I was alil kid..lol
@ConwingL162007 Yes, that explains why I think Albatrosses are so impressive, huge yet majestic, Orville and Wilbur are two cool birds, love'em <3 !!! :)
@shairaptor hey, ya wanna see and hear something funny but thats true...Albatross's really do take of and land like that due to their huge wing span...just watch the real videos here on Youtube...so both movies stuck true to the Albatrosses...they are very majestic gliders that have trouble getting off the ground and coming down
@ConwingL162007 Yes, true, I know Albatrosses seem to be clumsy when landing or starting, but extra-ordinarily elegant and majestic when flying, much more than any human could be :) I especially love it when Miss Bianca says: "I love take-offs!" yes it's a very adrenaline pushing kick and feeling, esp when sitting on the back of an albatross as a mouse <3 <3 <3 :)
@shairaptor ha ha...I've flown 5 times in my actual life and that adrenaline reminds me of when ya looking down at the runway in an actual jet as it leaves the ground....talk about adreanaline!!! I love both movies...especially Wilbur in the second one...his landing was awesome in Austrailia...lol. Althought I think he came in alil too fast on his approach
@ConwingL162007 Yeah I've flown like 5 times also, and always impressed by the take-off and (sometimes hard) landings. I can only imagine the amazing feeling while riding Orville or Wilbur. Maaan what would I give to be a mouse and to ride an albatross from the albatross airlines! Sigh :-))) Hopefully there will be a third part of Rescue Rangers, but please not as a quick direct to video sequel :)
@wilky1189 just to let ya know John Candy, even though deceased and may the lord rest his soul, did not voice Orville in this movie...it was actually Jim Jordan...John Candy was in the Rescuers Down Under...if ya remember he played Wilbur...Orville's brother
When I was little, I always thought Miss Bianca was saying "ooooh I just love pickles". I was so confused. But that's Eva Gabor's accent for ya!

Orville rules. Albatrosses are majestic creatures <3 <3 <3. They're huge already, but as a mouse, they're literraly towering above you. Sweet <3 ^^ :)

@shairaptor same as a 747 Jumbo Jet that seems to tower over us humans...so huge yet majestic and awe inspiring at the same time.
