  • What I will never understand is why not contacts? You can't even feel them, monthlies are pretty cheap and you can get cool colors.

  • Hm ICL is amother good choice for ppl who have mild to severe eyesight there are still risks thoigh but there hasnt been as many lile this nut ive only been to one site abour it the niggest eoaks i heard of is that u culd debelop cartaracts but the thing about ICL is that its reversable so thats another good thing

  • Im sorry but I wear glasses and I wont ever take this because to me laser+eyes=disaster moreover the cut your eyes and that cringes me O.o

  • eye is nature made precise end complex parts of our body.if price is wearing glases then let it be.. because if something happends than its late for sorrow end life is ruined forewer.. the choise is yours...!

  • don't let unethical lasik surgeons touch your eyes. They never get it done themselves and have a conflict of interests when it comes to properly screening people. i know from personal experience. buyer beware.

  • Well im 14 and I was the fury kid in the world born with shaking eyes (which causes my eye balls to move left and right at a very fast rate and also causes my head to shake like I'm nodding my head saying no) and j have -2 eye sight and my eye doctor said when I'm older I can get LASIK eye sugary but it might be hard Bec my eye shake and u have to have stable eyes to have the sugary

But styll I'm not gonna get it

  • @brazilian777able Why did you bother typing all that out? It's a video about eye surgery, not god.

  • I think you must protect your eyes 24hours for 1years after the surgery just to make sure , you know.

Eye drops , eat carrots and vitamins.

  • Come on!This video is from 2006!Technology is better and safer nowadays!

  • i used to want this done one day,but iv changed my mind after seying this,id rather find other ways of better vision,or ilkl stick with bad eyesite, this is not worth the risk

  • So does this mean I shouldn't be an Ophthalmologist? I really wanted to take on that career, but watching this video-- I don't want to cost victims all of these troubles!

  • this was very informative. thank you.

  • wow that worker is going to end up killing somebody, those are the people you have to watch out for in those trades.

  • delete this video, its from 2006 what the hell!

  • I won't deny that people certainly can suffer negative side effects from LASIK, just like you can with any surgery.

That being said, this report is over 4 years old. If you get a good doctor who uses the most up to date equipment and actually cares about you, then you're very likely to be a complete success and not experience any drawbacks.

Is it safe to wear glasses instead? Yes.

Are you likely to suffer the negative effects of LASIK should you get it? No.

  • @taze13 TELL EM!

  • Once LASIK gets you... you can't go back.

  • There should be like insurance where if the lasik eye surgery goes bad, and there is damage to eyes, then there is million dollar refund.

  • Lol when you operate heavy machinery ou dont want your boss to find out how bad your vision is. well that if you dont kill some one before hand

  • i wear glasses nd i hate em..they are giving me headaches...i was thinking about laser surgey....but now that i see this video and many on youtube...i am most deff keeping my glasses....FUCK LASER SURGERY!!!!!!

  • iam scared to get this surgery. oh how nice it would be if i naturally had 20/20 vision!

  • @evilmagic43 eat alot of carrots

  • I meant God! He is the best physician.

  • @brazilian777able Please stop trolling. Just because you break your leg doesn't mean you don't want a human doctor. Yes, God can help your healing, but doctors are there for a reason.

  • @clownsscaremetoo God is the one who give us breath. He is the one who give skills, talent and gifts.; my point was that I was healled from glaucoma by HIM; therefore, others can be also if they just ask HIM.

Because HE said that if we look up to HIM in the day of trouble then HE will save us. the word "save" is also including healing in the original language (hebrew). good day

  • @brazilian777able I believe you. I'm not saying I don't. But you as a person seem pushy. I'm glad God gave you breath and glaucoma and then healed you from it. It was meant to be. But don't try and convert people. I believe in God but you make Him seem like...well, God, when life is actually about how humans spend their time and what decisions they make. I really hate having a religious conversion under an eye surgery video.

  • @clownsscaremetoo LOL. Indeed; however,(just so you know and I discountinue the discussion) God did not place glaucoma in my eyes; otherwise, I would not even attempt any type of healing since HE is supreme.. Transgression of God's laws open "doors" to our enemy (satan) to place sickness in our bodies. They are ilegal spirits on earth without a physical body only spirits with a physical body are "legal" on earth. God's established law on Genesis 1:26. good day.

  • @brazilian777able

So god cured you from glaucoma, but he leaves million of kids in places like Africa and India to starve?

God sure has a twisted set of priorities.

  • @taze13 "My people die for lack of Knowledge of my Word"

Kingdom of Heaven it is located in Heaven it is a a real place. Has a King (God); Has a constitution (Bible); has an Army (Angels); has citizens (believers).

Kingdom of God is located on Earth. It is the embassy of the Kingdom of Heaven. The purpose of the King is for earth to be colonize by HIS goverment and reflect what is in Heaven on earth. Thus Jesus taught HIS disciples How to pray "Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

  • @taze13 Now that you understand that HE IS A KING and a King when speaks HIS Word becomes a law even to HIMSELF so if you look up Genesis 1:26 "Let them have dominion of the earth..." HE established a law given dominion of the earth to men, and man by transgressing sold out the earth to satan who stole the rights of the dominion from man by deceiving the woman and ultimately the man which set in motion corruption and decai of humans and creatures alike.

  • @taze13 Continuing. On genesis 1:26 not only established the law of dominion of the earth but also a law in which only spirits with a physical body are "legal" on earth; therefore, any spirit that doesn't have a physical body is ilegal thus demons tempt humans to commit transgression against God so they can have an entrance in their physical bodies and operate thru it otherwise they power are relegated to "sugestions in the mind and thru air waves" (they are the prince of the power of the air).

  • @taze13 God is also a Spirit so in order for HIM to interced in humans affairs by HIS own law since dominion was given to us "humans" we must ask (the word "prayer" means petition). God gave us (humans) everything. The air we breathing in which we poluted; the fresh water that we also poluted and animals for our enjoyment; trees of all sort of fruits and plentius food. It is not HIS falt that some has surplus of potatoes and insted of given to those in need just stuff back to hike the price.

  • @taze13 God gave Ten Commandments and everybody violated and those that repent and obey HE then can operate. HIS desire is that all repent. Look. HE said I have set up appointement with YOU (humans) these are the days I will visit you. Passover, Pentecost and Feast of Tabernacle. What do WE do? We celebrate Easter and pagan godess of fertility thus the eggs and rabbits; we celebrate valentines; st. nicholas, christmas (Jesus was born in the Feast of Tabernacles) and so forth BLATANT REBELION

  • @taze13 There is something call curse and curses can be broken, buy the one who acknowledges their sin and turn and start doing what is right in God's eye. God is merciful, and longsuffering thus we are not consume with HIS fire. I live in a state of sorrow for I see the lack of knowledge of the Word of God so transgression abound out of ignorance. Before you "complain" HEAR HIS COMPLAINT" why do you think HE came to earth? To bring the message for us to REPENT and turn to HIM who CAN SAVE!

  • @taze13 God is a Spirit so HE had also to have a physical body to be able to operate on earth to rescue HIS children (HE wants us to turn voluntarily to HIS love not by coerssion). so HE sent an angel to a humans and ask if HE could make HIMSELF a physical body in which She agreed so HE named HIMSELF Yeshua (salvation) the name Jesus is actually the Greek name of Yeshua. HE has several titles, and a name in the physical world and another in the Spiritual World which is YHVH sounds YEHOVAH

  • @taze13 Yeshua/Jesus is born HE brings the message "the good News" of reconciliation. The requirement is to repent. Turn away from the pagan system, and worship HIM and help HIS goverment be spread on earth. Go you into all the earth and spread the Gospel. What is the works of God? Heal the sick, feed and clothe the poor, give to those in need. Nobody touch me when I got heal. I was like a little child in need and I look up to HIM TRUSTING THAT THE ONE THAT MADE ME CAN FIX ME.HALLELUYAH

  • @brazilian777able Hilarious!

  • @lawrencealot yes, it is funny. People seek "unperfect people" to "fix" them instead of seeking their maker.

God is alive and well. HE is real, and full of love for us.

  • @brazilian777able your an idiot....

  • @lawrencealot hilarious ? it is sad on how ignorance of the goverment of God who created the Heavens and the earth are hidden from most. The only ones who benefit is the "aware" the ones who have been awaken because they have repented from their evil ways and asked God for HIS forgiveness then the "system" of the "kingdom" are reveal. Repent from what? Breaking HIS Ten Commandments. Repentance = forgiveness = restauration = healing = joy

  • I rather pray and get got to heal me. He is the best for HE is the manufactor

  • @brazilian777able i hope your just saying shit like that to be a troll, i really do

  • @A0Andy During praise and worship in a Pentecostal church the Pastor told everybody to raise their hands and ask for healing, so I raise my hands but I did not ask I just continue praising....I got healed of glaucoma. I resigned my job and went after such a wonderful Savior. I've tried everything else and never worked . I tried HIM ...it is real bro.

  • id rather wait a little longer till technology improves then ill do the surgery

  • How do they let that bitch drive lol

  • I did Lasik a week ago, and the next day I had a little Halo on my left eye but it has been vanishing. I'm very happy with the outcome.

  • Man it's so hard to decide to be on the pro or con for Lasik. I don't know whether to believe the most people or not. It could be that the glasses industries are trying to give people the misconception of Lasik so that they can get business from selling glasses and contact lenses.

  • Notice the older people are the ones that suffer from side effects.

  • Maybe by the time im eighteen they will have a cookie that will help out my eyes.

  • UPON THE EYEBALLS.

  • once they cut you... you are done.. LOL omg

  • Worth the risks

  • I lost my ability to drive at night. Major problem with work. Don't risk the surgery.

  • ditto daysin.......I was never able to return to work and my disablility was so clear,it was approved without a hearing. Ectasia is just part of the mess.

    DON'T RISK your only eyes!

  • No matter what anyone tells you don't get lasik. The risks no matter how small the percentage are not worth it. Even minor ones such as dry eyes makes life a lot more stressful than glasses.

  • They just released the statement today that the FDA is repealing approval of Lasik Eye Surgery...crazy!!

  • my eyes were also ruined by this horrible procedure.

  • Remember to research your doctor and to get informed about this surgery before having it. Not all eyes are optimal for this procedure. There are a lot of lasers and a lot of so called medicals which are just frauds. If you want a good treatment visit the ophthalmologist center in Houston, it is rated the best in the world. I've had LASIK surgery and I can guarantee you it is worth it.

  • my surgery was done 2 weeks ago. My vision is perfect but I still have starburst and lampglow at night. Can some-one suggest a solution?

    Sincerely yours

  • @lancerwagon

It should get better with time. I had the same problems when I first got lasik and it slowly went away after a couple months. Sometimes it never completely goes away though.

  • @tdaness Well I must say the starburst is always present at night and especially when I'm tired (since my pupils are more open then). My doctor prescribed some drops to lessen the diameter (in fact a medicine against glaucoma).

This helps... I think I'll always suffer from starburst but luckily I work in daytime, so there no problem and a lot more vision comfort (and success with the ladies).

Even knowing about starburst, I'd do the operation again. But I didn't expect it to be so annoying.

  • @tdaness I also have a bigger left pupil (than my right pupil).

This way it sometimes gives a glow at evening hours (sort of distorted asymmetric vision). To all potential patients on this forum: this operation is irreversibel ! think about the starburst before you begin ! (all the rest is pure fun now) :-)

  • I can understand that night vision problem, I've never had lasik but mine started after taking an Rx. I no longer drive anymore, don't need to. but even walking around at night bothers me, I see glare and starbursts.

I don't know why anyone would do this. My last job did require driving at night.

But that was some years ago.

  • no thanks I'll stick to my contacts and glasses!!

  • I have since changed my mind about seeking lasik surgery for my eyes, thanks to all the informative videos provided on YouTube. For those people who have been problem free; I'm happy for you; however, I don't like the 50/50 odds.

  • Damn lasik you SCARY!!!!

  • I guess I'll stick to glasses then.

  • The future may be Keraflex (no lasers. microwave energy reshapes the cornea. no tissue is removed) or IntraCor (no flaps, no epithelium removed, just laser ablating rings deep in cornea)

  • this is in 2006 so don't get scared because we have way better technology now than then.

  • @smilobm and also you seen those news where a plane crash and its in news for days and days but what about the planes which land successfully, this is the same thing

  • I know the perfect solution: Don't get lasik, period.

  • this is fucking scary !!!!

  • wow after this video..... Fuck the surgery

  • 3:47 I read about Steve the United Airline Pilot. If I'm right the story goes something like this. Steve was just recently promoted to the ranks of Captain with United Airlines, he was the youngest pilot with United Airlines to become Captain -- a HUGE successful for any pilot.

He got LASIK surgery and had problems with his eye-sight. I believe that he got corneal transpant in hopes of improving his situation, but now he can't see and suffered from headaches.

    Contacts Lenses can $&#* too.

  • no wonder Bill Gates, Steve Jobs (Apple) still wear glasses even with billion dollars

  • Don't ever get this done - Dry eyes, halos at night, induced astigmatism over correction.

  • i cant believe i was thinking of having this surgery! D:

  • It's not the I think Lasik is horrible...I just don't mind wearing glasses...

  • This is FOX News so lets take it with a pinch of salt.

  • ...no longer cut by blades but by femtosecond lasers that create a much more precise, clean cut. When Custom LASIK Intralase was still under the testing phases, volunteers were corrected with the old method in one eye and the new method in the other eye. Both methods produced 20/20 vision, but the one eye that was corrected under the old method had a possibility of seeing starbursts, halos, fuzziness, etc. The other eye was fine. Unfortunately, the "bad" eye cannot be fixed.

  • @MelkorHimself sounds like you work for LAsik ! make sense thou...

  • @gambrinus777 I don't. My degree is in physics.

  • @MelkorHimself cool. so how long is it been since you had the custum lasik? i have an appoinment on thursday to see if I'm elegible but this people here is freaking me out !

  • @gambrinus777 I had it 18DEC2008, so it's been about 19 months. So far it's been fine, and my night vision is equally as fine. If you are eligible, remember that you get what you pay for, so don't go with a cheap surgeon. I paid $4890 for my surgery with TLC.

  • @MelkorHimself thanks a lot for the inf

  • Here is the problem with this video: It's 3.5 years old. Back then Custom LASIK Intralase did not exist, so everyone was corrected solely from their refractive errors. I was a -5.0, but that doesn't mean I can receive the same correction as another person with -5.0 refractive error. I received Custom LASIK Intralase which corrects you based on your refractive error and a 3D topographical analysis of your cornea. It eliminates the fuzziness, nighttime starbursts, and halos. The flaps are....

  • 6:50

"problems of those like Brent, Barbra, Steve, Richard , and thiiss mann."

lol XD screww dis, im staying wit glassesss :P

  • Learn the truth about LASIK risks and long-term consequences at lasikcomplications(dot)com

  • @LASIKComplications

    Nobody cares about you.

Everyone knows that you are responsible for your own choices, period.

Just so you know, if life is too unbearable for you, there is always one way out

  • did u know that even if u get lasik ur eye sight can still change u can have bad eye sight later cuz ur weight changes and so does ur eye sight

  • @yadiras69 Lol what rubbish!

  • i was happy w lasik for about 5 yrs. my dry eyes have gotten worse . now my vision is slowly getting bad again.

  • lasik is a huge gamble no matter where you go.

    6 months after lasik

I don't read for pleasure anymore

I "watch" tv with eyes closed half the time

    fluorescent lights drive me nuts

I have dimmed down vision with halos/starbursts

My eyes are strained/painful all the time.

I am considered a good lasik result by 3 different doctors besides my surgeon. Even one who is against lasik

  • Brent Hanson was suicidal BEFORE his LASIK surgery. He was told by every surgeon he went to in the United States that his eyes were not suitable for LASIK. Brent persisted, and found a surgeon in Canada willing to treat him. He had to go to another country to find a surgeon willing to do the procedure on him. Barbara Berney is insane. Zickefoose's EYES are perfect now. The problem is that his brain is not processing the visual information as it should. His vision is as good as it can be.

  • lasik completely destroyed my life!

dr. keon nia ruined my life when he performed lasik on me over a yr ago.

  • Oh shut the fuck up, no one cares.

  • My eyes have been destroyed by lasik doc Keon Nia from LasikMD. Don't do it! It ruined my life!

  • I had lasik in 2006, and am more than thrilled with my choice. I recommend it to anyone who just hates the hassle of their glasses/contacts. The worst part for me was the dry gritty feeling i had for about a week, nothing worse than if i wore my contacts too long.

Like all cosmetic surgeries, do your research, and ask questions. if you go through with it, and don't like your outcome, maybe you didn't ask the right questions. Don't blame others for your lack of knowledge.

  • when you recommend lasik to people do you tell them about people like me who have been completely destroyed by it? Can I blame the lasik doc the screwed me up for not being honest?

  • Just like any other cosmetic surgery, there is always a chance that something will go wrong. again, do the research, check references, and listen to the risks. you have to read ALL the "warning lables" to make an informed decision.

I have had multiple other surgeries (not optional), and part of the warning is "could cause death". I still took the risk, and have some side affects, but over all am happy.

Love the eye surgery tho. would do it again if i had to. I now have 20/15 vision

  • The lasik docs are not giving people true informed consent - the risks are seriously downplayed!

Lasik docs are'nt honest and the people working at their clinics work on commision so why would they scare people off by telling them the truth about side effects and complications?

  • Geez...I guess you thought that the chance of success was 100% and that there is NO risk, huh? Idiot you gambled and lost

  • Go shoot that fuking hindu!!!

  • or maybe you didn't get the right answers.

I'd much rather spend 2 minuted a day taking out/putting in my contacts than have that corneal flap that can fall out any second

  • Exactly, what's wrong with wearing glasses?

  • Had lasik surgery one year ago by Dr. Keon Nia and my life is completely ruined as a result, I'm in constant pain, have crappy vision, can't work, can't socialize. I don't know how I will go on?

  • hey if you wear glasses or eye contacts, do you have to wear them through all your life time or just for some years?

  • lol, for the rest of your life

  • The Mystery guy sounds like Buffalo Bill..

  • Glasses are sexy Screw this Lasik stuff

  • @Ecompass4 yeah, they are not sexy and they are uncomfortable

  • Brent Hanson states on his web site that he had a cornea transplant in 2000 on his left eye. This report was in 2004 and the doctor is clearly looking at his left eye which still shows scars from his RK surgeries. That's right, he had RK and then LASIK after that.

Be careful when choosing to have LASIK. Beware of the anti - LASIK crowd on the internet. It is a small few who try to look like a few hundred. They lie just as much if not more than the doctors that they attack.

  • I'm in the minority too. I've had two treatment's. If I have to go back to glasses then so be it. My right eye is, I like to think, perfect. It's my left eye. My vision is going blurry again and it is interfering with the right eye. I sometimes have to close my left eye to read distance objects. The other thing is I get is 'sticky eye'. I NEVER had that problem before.

My advice is buy comfortable glasses & make the most of your life the way it is. Your vision takes up alot of it.

  • whats wrong with wearing glasses?

  • It limits career oppurtunities. Military, police, fire brigade.

  • limitations are created by oneself.

military, police, forcemen in general, even sportsmen, have worn glasses in the past, and continue to do so

kareen abdul jabbar? b-ball? base ballers?

ppl serving their countries in war?

    glasses

limits are created by urself, not the obstacle

  • you are awesome

    that is all

  • I like how they say; "Lasik surgery victims" sounds like they were forced into operation just to get fucked!! When it's no different than getting breast implants or lipo suction... alterations of your body... out of choice... I made the choice and am fine (for now lol). these treatments get better every year, and most commonly something goes bad because the patient fails to take proper post lasik care.

  • I'm getting this procedure very soon - this sort of thing doesn't put me off either - it's nothing I haven't heard before, and FROM the surgeon... You should be made aware of the risks before you go through with it, and more importantly, what they'll do about it. The cases in the video are clearly from unreputable companies. I'd say make sure you're VERY happy with the clinic, and know all the risks and aftercare treatments.

  • did you get the procedure done?....how was the outcome? are you happy? any side effects?

  • I did and I'm very happy with the results. No problems.

People who are considering this procedure need to be very careful beforehand. Make sure you're happy with the practice/surgeon etc. If you don't think you're being told the truth then get out and go somewhere else. It seems the USA has more trouble than the UK with dishonest surgeons so I can't comment reliably too much on that. Even so, be careful and do your research as with all surgery, things can of course go wrong.

  • i better stick to my glasses...i dont want to take a chance

  • oh my god, why can't they cure or at least prevent myopia already! Being nearsighted you just can't win.

  • I'll stick with my glasses. Even contact lenses caused me a nasty eye infection I am still battling. Heading to eye doc today...done going to GP's that have no clue how to care for and diagnose eyes.

  • im proud of my contact lenses fuck lasik maybe some restore your vision for 100% BUT SOME OF THEM MAKE YOUR EYES FUCKED UP so im fucking happy with my lenses

  • lasik is a very bad idea. My uncle is an eye surgeon in the PLA Army. He said that if u want to get rid of glasses, laser is the only option. However traditional laser eye surgery are very unsafe, if u want to get it done do with wavefront attached and intralase technology. However these better lasiks called wavefront lntralasik cost almost twice as traditional lasik.

  • I had wavefront/intralase and still had corneal erosions, poor night vision, TERRIBLE DRY EYES. I have had pain in my eyes for most all of the past 3 years. Punctal occlusion, Restasis, Artificial tears, and flaxseed oil have not helped the dry eye. IT'S TERRIBLE!

  • How worse was your eyes when u had the surgery done?

  • I really hope you can get help.

  • Americans always complain, don't trust what they say

  • fuck you, thousands of people around the world have to suffer with the complications of laser eye surgery. One day when you have eye problems and will experience the horrors. it is good they are informing people. your eyes are the most precious thing you possess

  • as long as they got contacts and glasses im happy. You take them off you put them on. If you have no time to do that then you need to flex your day more better. A bat and me have the same eye site. Yeah pretty much around there but when you put glasses on BAM! its like i could see again lol.

  • Fox

    Lol ignore video

  • ugh thats what these people get for doing lasik, they should have done PRK. its SO much safer!!!

  • LasikComplications, LifeAfterLasik,LasikScam, Lasik-Flap, LasikFraud, LasikSucks4u2, UsaEyes, LasikNightmare, FlawedLasik, LasikSurgeryWebsite, LaserMyEye, MyLasikStory, SurgicalEyes org, DoctorMyEye , LasikLiberty, VisionSimulations, EyeFreedom , NoBlur...Show me another procedure that has this many patient websites trying to WARN YOU to NOT have LASIK and how UNPREDICTABLE it has become, now being an epidemic!! YouTube: FDA LASIK and watch and listen to the estimated 600,000 ruined lives!!!

  • Just don't get it and you won't have to worry.

  • I think these attacks on laser surgery are a load of crap, sure there are risks as with anything. My "optometrist" made sure to point out all the risks apart from the fact I wont be needing to go back to him any more.

If you want a life without glasses or contact lenses I say go ahead and get lasik surgery .

If you don't mind wearing glasses or contact lenses then don't get the surgery simple as that.

  • Actually you will run to him quite fast.

  • You make no sense ? run to who fast? please clarify i'm not a mind reader.

  • I had lasik eye surgery 1 week ago and couldn't be happier.

My vision was terrible i'm 29 years old and will be looking to play contact sport in 3 months time.

I used to wear contact lenses but it was such a pain taking them out each night and I found i got tired/dry eyes at night from wearing them.

I didn't mind glasses although it was annoying that they tinted in the sun then took forever to return to normal once you got indoors.

  • I think you know the risks but i say : Happiness will go away. The bests !

  • How positive are you?!> what an awesome person you must be to be around.

  • i see you posted your message 7 months ago...are you still satisfied with your surgery?

  • I am totally satisfied with the surgery. I feel sorry for people who are having problems with their surgery. I don't think you can read much into any of these comments though.

Half of the hate comments are more than likely from optometrists in fear of losing business.

  • i have done these lasik operation in egypt by1500 doll..

    and now i am fine

  • go for the permanent lens transplant

  • Vanity has it's cost for sure...

  • It will become more safer right?

  • ruined my eyes. I cant work or drive at night. Fuck all laser vision correction surgeries.

  • I was actually thinking about getting this, after I see the facts, I'm NEVER under going Lasik eye surgery.

  • i wouldnt suggest it either, it ruined my eyes

  • @BloodPulse Lol; all because of FOX news...

Fox News is a sensationalist channel that often skews the facts or breaks them altogether.

  • honestly.... who would be dumb enough to fall for that shit? fucking chain spam

  • i did not make this srry my lil sis was on... shes 8

  • there's lemons for every kind of surgery, seriously, there's is NO surgery procedure that hasn't had problems.

besides it's 2009, i'm sure that they have worked on the problems

  • I m so damn confused...

I can;t live with glasses on anymore lasik is my only hope..

there r videos which say have lasik and there r videos like these ..

i dont know what to do

but i really want rid of my glasses.

  • If LASIK is so safe, then why are there so many hurt LASIK patient websites warning you of Lying Lasik Dr's?

  • get contacts....unfortunately these doctors will make the deal sound sweet because they want your money!!!...and as time goes by, the success rate also decreases, which means that even if it is successful, down the line maybe 2 , 3, 4 , maybe even 10 years down the line, your vision will worsen and you would have to go back to get it done again... and once they shine that laser on your eye, you will NEVER be able to go back to how your eyesight was before. DONT DO IT...google it get the facts

  • Fuck this!!! I'm sticking to glasses 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw LASIK!!

  • You could always consider contacts, I use contacts, no pain, comfortable, they don't even feel like they're on your eye! I use soft Contact Lenses

  • yeah same ima stick with lenses ....ugh i couldnt imagine liliving with a bad eye

  • damn i was considering lasik with intralase, lasek, and lasik but no thanks!

i'll have to stick to glasses and contacts

or maybe that contact that shapes the eyes during the night and u see during the day without the contacts. i think it's called ortho k

  • pfft.

its in the consent literature that its a risk just as with any other surgical proceedure.

    we all sign the form!

Either that or its more regulated over here in the uk..

I've had it done for 4 years now, and still see better than i did with spex

  • And to the news reporter, He is lucky that his doctor would even consider doing 3 enhancements. He must have had very thick corneas. He needs to be worried about ectasia and induced keratoconus.

  • Brent Hanson when examined in the slit lamp you can see RK cuts. RK was a surgery done prior to lasik that did not use a laser to correct vision. If Brent had RK, and then Lasik, then he is stupid for doing both surgeries. You wont even find a doctor out there who will do RK anymore due to complications like this. If you look at his eye when they are doing his exam, you can see the cuts. They are in a star shape on his Cornea. He should not be associated with people with real lasik problems.

  • isn't it ironic how the font on the law suit to sue a doctor for messing up your vision is so small?

  • well i was thinkin about gettin lasik....after watchin this i realized its time to re-order my contacts

  • stop being such big babies and so LAZY! and wear contacts....
