i cant uderstand why bungie didnt already in the beta notice that armor lock was too powerfull, now in halo reach its just a way to show your a noob and that you cant survive without any helping emps, recharging health, block all kinds of explosions and guns. really... everyone who uses armor lock is a noob who cant survive without help.

@Iloveyoumor it makes you invincible as long as it is activated. if you are stuck, the grenades fall off. you cant be assassinated. you cant get sworded. you cant get hammered. completely invincible. armor lock also releases an emp. the longer you hold it in, the larger the radius of the emp. the emp knocks out shields of nearby enemies and creates a little explosion pushing them and anything nearby away. it also has downthrust, so if you lock on top of someone, they go flying away.

@23fretyearsaway Well yeah, I guess I shouldn't say cheap as it is just annoying. All it does is break the flow of combat and just postpones his death. Although it is fun to surprise people when using Armor Lock. So really, as long as they keep it out of Slayer or maybe like a Classic playlist, then I can deal with Armor Lock. Compared to crap like Final Stand in MW2, it's a paltry complaint.

This shows that even the abilities that make you a huge target (jetpack and armor lock) can work really well. Jetpacks will open up entirely new paths to take advantage of in maps such as Ivory Tower, Lockout, or Ascension.
