G-map for iPhone : Search and go to Pizza place

Pretty cool, but agreed, dedicated GPS units have better chips and reception.

regular navitation systems would do just fine in that area too

the dedicated versions actully have better reciever chips

Ummm... It's a phone... Not a dedicated GPS. Looks cool, but I still think xGPS is amazing for what it is being free and all.
