@danielc6172 but he didn't write many scott english wrote and released it in 1971 before manilow did this cover. it was originally called brandy but he changed the name to mandy all the other lyrics are the same as the original scott english version, it was also released by bunny walters in 1972 also before ,manilow got his mits on it, so manilow was the third guy to release the song and he definiotley didn't write it, ironic how it's his biggest hit and he never wrote it

I just turned 16, and I love this song, it's much better than new crap music about bi***es and money and all this electronic music and voice, he had great voice and didn't need any computer to make this song any better. When I listen to this song, I feel his emotions and all this power of his voice and music, it didn't need half naked bi***es running around in the video like todays songs to make it great. There are only 12 months, not 24 and the sequence of numbers should lengthen, i.e days, months, years because days are shorter than months and months are shorter than years.
