  • dude that he shoud not come god

he shud be frown awys becoues he kill ho brother hello he kill hi brother

  • interesting story

  • boring

  • I don't think she was supossed to have married mars? she was a vestile virgin and said she was raped by him (which was likely a cover up for another more mortal rape)

  • its not hard to remember... Romulus killed remus thats why the city is called 'rome"

  • how did he kill his brother

  • Why so upset? If Romulus didn't kill Remus, Remus would've killed Romulus

  • while i don't but the story for a sec, it's still incredible, tragic, and thought provoking.

two demigod twins who were cast off, rejected, adopted by a wolf, grew up side by side, fought side by side rose to power, and despite all this became consumed by their greed and inner demons. also understand that ancient roman culture revolves very much around violence, the same morals didn't apply then, even if they were twins.

  • romulus such a stone -hearted he kill REMUS !!!!!!!!!!! IF I were remus i`ll haunt romolus until he is dead!!..

  • And for you christians who simply can't understand fratricide, read your bible. Cain and Abel ring a bell?

  • The story seems so barbaric and crude because of our modern outlook. Because of modernity and christianity our morals and values are completely different. Actions that we might interpret as "brutal" and "harsh" were often seen as signs of strength and decisiveness.

  • Thank u 4 teachinq me haha

  • Does anyone knows who is the author of this myth?

    thanks

  • @PecasMegadeth you can't really have an author for a myth, a myth is passed down through people and is altered through time. (for example; the first time this myth was told it could of have no she wolf in it) nobody knows...

  • WOW sre you serious my school teacher was shoeing us thus video and she scrolled doen and saw the bad comments hahahahaha then the video got blocked so she couldnt show it to her other classes.

  • LOLOL WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN

  • i got a solution for them to not fight, name the place Remulus... their name's combined...

  • Can anyone post what the video said to me....I need it......

  • I LIKE THIS VIDEO xD

  • Murder, Rape. The true story is So Disgusting Bleh :P

  • This is too child-friendly for me. Mars did NOT marry Rhea Silvia. He RAPED her while she slept!

  • @billy bobboberson the history of your sick ass nature animal loving zero growth population culture didnt have nothing to do with helping the world but destroy others cultures very primitive .sick ass culture!!!!!

  • wtf

  • yes it was a brothercid

  • Lol. How true is this legend? I heard there is some degree of facts that the original founders were Romulus and Remus. However the story of their lives are a little far fetched!!

  • @dishwasherman83 i believe if they were real there kind of like alot of other people in history who did somthing and than over along time people exaggerated into what it is i never heard proof of romulus or remus but someone had to start rome but being raised by a wolf im not to sure about that, its said(by roman historians) they lived 800 years or so before christ and thats alot of generations the story is passed down

  • hi. did u make this? can u tell me what software did you use? tnx

  • people, romulus killed his bro for the throne and he mightof hired someoen to kill him

  • sucking wolf titties!!!! what type of shit is that for history!!!!

  • @sevenfo306 fool how else would a wolf raise? do u think it would give them rice crispies and moutain dew?

that is the history of one of the greatest and longest lasting countrys ever and had it not been for christanity they might have lasted a bit longer we could have all had S.P.Q.R tattoos, and if you live in the west had it not been for greece and rome your way of life would be nothing like it is today

  • Also, romulus was most likely killed by the patricians who, at that time did not have as much addoration for him as the plebeians. (Or, what would become the patricians and plebeians in some time.). Oh, and also, Numator SUSPECTED the boys of being his own and after learning there upbringing became convinced that they were his. He however was not the one to tell them, it was she shepard who told them, as he had suspected them of being of royal blood.

  • This story is horse shit if I have ever heard any. Romulus was not a 'good' man by any means. Ordering the capture and rape of hundreds of neiboring village wifes and slaughtering all who aposed him in retaliation,or, integrating them within his own culture, only to most likely have assasinated the new co-ruler and seize controll for himself once again. Also, the killing of remus happened before any village of sorts was established over the location of the city. In legend at least.

  • @yyttr4 good and bad are points of view-good romulus need people to make a city, bad he has to rape and kills them for it, also take storys like this with a grain of salt they arent meant to be literal like alot of people think for some reason but there meant as examples, and sometimes just stories we have stories today, they had them 3000 years ago, being a good person and a good king are two completely different things, kings do stuff for the greater good for the present and future of his ppl

  • This story isn't right

@ my school we need to teach this. @ latin.

it was Vesta's temple, and Rea Silvia didn't marry mars, he raped her

  • ooohhhhh , so this is what my teacher was talking about!!!!

  • i like romulas

he gives me fun lairs to play in

thumbs up if you get the reference!

  • ASENA ---- and ---- ROMUS & REMULUS

It's the same plot !! Etruscans were ancient Turks !!

  • what is the wolf to the right doing to Remus? it just has this stray paw doing who knows what... : P

  • There's a she wolf in the closet, let her out so she can breath... aaaaoooooooo

  • what a noob

  • Didn't anyone ever wonder wtf happened to Remus???

  • somebody,stupit.

  • in rome stupid which is in italy

     you are so dumb

  • i'm gonna use this myth for my project! so cool!! this story happen in italy...right? O.o

  • @coolio23766

If you're gonna use this story as a project... For what Class?

Consider this... Compare this story of Rhea Silvia and how she was made pregnant by a GOD in 770 BC and how that sounds alot like the Immaculate Conception long before Jesus was born.

If this myth was widely circulated 700 years before Jesus was born... does this mean that Jesus being the son of God is a myth? Was Jesus a prophet and God on earth?

  • Remus should have won!

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring!

  • They forgot the part were Remus jumped the wall and the fact that Romulus left an empty throne next to his own to show that his brother shared his power.

  • I'd be right to say Romulus & Remus mother was a BITCH!

  • no one seems to think that this whole story is B.S.only someone with the mind of a child could believe this garbage; or someone with a sick lack of fulfillment in their lives, or someone who suffers from delusions of grandeur, so sad.

  • My social subjects teacher at the high school showed us this vid.

  • @Krycho9PowrotReturn do you live in the uk? if you do so do i and ive never heard of social studies, what sort of things do you fdo in that lesson?

  • @TeamRuthLorenzo It's geography and history at the same time :D

  • @Krycho9PowrotReturn ah right, we have the seperate subjects but we used to have intergrated studies which is history, geography, re, and pshce. x

  • @Krycho9PowrotReturn was it kecoughtan and was his last name roberts??

  • lol

  • 4:27 Romulus and Remus had the O face going on. lol

  • the lust for power and greed was the driving force for the murder of Remus. Remus I bet would have been a better king if he was crowned.

Romulus should have been executed for such a horrible crime... Especially if its your brother .. and a twin !

  • 4. Not at all. Sure Romulus may have done great things as ruler, but did the gods forget he killed his own brother in cold bood. And over something as petty as the name of the city they built. Did they ever hear of compromise! I do not think he should of become a god!

  • Great legend, but again you guys are right.HE MURDERED HIS BROTHER !!!GOD HE IS ASSHOLE

  • So it would have been called the Remian Empire if it had not been for Romulus killing Remus.

  • i have to lern this for an .. for school! D:

  • I used it for my 1st homeschooler's history class. Thanks!

  • He killed his brother for all of the power.

  • the story i hurd was his mom was at the river cleaning clothes and romulas and remus floated away! and who the hell would kill there own brother!?

  • The bastard killed his own brother

    what the hell?

  • if he didint the world would'nt be what it is today

  • I dont get it. They say Romulus did so many "noble" and "compassionate" things during his time as king and he was sent, basically, to a type of heaven. HELLO.. he MURDERED his brother? HELLO!

  • @nicitaliano Historically he appeased his brothers spirit through a festival of sorts. You have to keep in mind this was ancient Rome, the morality of the Gods they believed in differ a lot from the Judeo-Christian variety...they tended to focus more on the value of strength and power than in the value of love...slavery, rape, murder and such were all considered "alright" so long as the context was right (for example an invading army had the "right" to rape, murder and pillage)

  • @nicitaliano well if you have brother like remus you will kill him to...he was idiot ...

  • @nicitaliano so?

  • @nicitaliano it was to show that he was impartial. everyone had to recieve the same kind of justice

  • Thanks for making this video, it really helped my 2nd grade home schooler understand our studies on Rome's beginnings. I look forward to watching your other videos...

  • nice vid!!it really helped me with my history hk

  • Rhea SIlvia was a priestess of Vesta and was responsible for the well being of romans not the god of war. Many historians agree that Rhea Silvia was probably raped by mars, or a mortal which is more likely ... . she was also sent to drown in the river. Lupa in Latin is she wolf, but also Prostitute which could lead to a bad translation. Sorry the truth hurts, unfortunately the badly recorded history which turned legend has probably many more euphemisms. perhaps one should support the truth...

  • Indeed. The way it's stated in the video is a bit too 'christian': Silvia 'marrying' the god Mars is a long stretch; 'impregnated', or even 'seduced' would be closer to the Roman myth.

  • its true, they were not married. she was seduced then possibly raped and was not sent away to live in the mars temple but was in a forest one day to get fresh water when mars lured her away to which Romulus and Remus were concived

  • Why don't you just accept the story the video tells instead of spewing "facts" about a religion that probably never even existed?

  • its sad that Remus dies

  • no it would be reme

  • its not sad, ist dramatic

  • awsum, my ss teacher showed us this vid during class
