  • thats what i heard, what were they biting on at gold creek? have u heard of a place called cane creek on lake conway?

  • Bait place was selling minnows like crazy but they said the Crappie were biting jigs just as fast

Cane Creek - must be 'short' for Caney Creek - upper end of lake - Lake forks up there - one side is Twin Bridges and other is Caney Creek - what I heard was BOTH of those forks are just as 'hot' as Gold Creek. Mail lady lives on Caney Creek and she was tearing them up before all the rain / storms - and she said they were all SLABS

  • oops I forgot - most of the slabs in Caney Creek area are from brush piles and they start biting right before dark - action is reporte fast and furious for about an hour then they stop / move / vanish for rod n reel fishermen - but yoyo's do 'okay' for slabs after dark (sometimes the yoyo's get smaller crappie is what I heard)

  • what are the crappie biting good on? how are the bream biting?

  • Jig with squirming grum works when casting but that's just one of many that seem to be working. Plus minnows are working

Reports from Gold Creek and Twin Bridges have been SUPER - for example on Wednesday - there were 19 boats in the Gold Creek lake (WIndomer cove - can't spell it) - I heard ALL boats were culling i.e. throwing back anything under 10". Talked to one guy that got only 12 but it was his second trip for the day and he was only keeping the slabs 14-15" or bigger- Gold Creek
