  • A bird in the tree or perhaps a squirrel would have been nice.

  • LOL! Thanks for the advice steely! Yeah I'll keep that in mind...maybe an autonomical bird, ay?...;)

  • i like it! i like how you've used materials from her home for the leaves! it's really creative.

  • Thanks SavannahLioness! I really appreciate it!...btw I gave you a shout-out on my most recent vid...I mean it's from a red bus...which I'm not sure is cool, but yeah I'll stop rambling now ;)

  • Thanks jagarujimbo! Really nice of you to say. I totally agree with you....I'm a perfectionist to the point of insanity, but I'm sure the buyer probably would've liked it 3 anxiety attacks back...LOL!

  • Hi! I really liked your painting. I love mixed media items. I do some of that myself, but mostly along the lines of sculpting. That sounds so formal. It's really not. LOL Anyway, great job!

  • Sounds cool wvclaylady! I really admire people that work in 3d. I just watched your 'Land of Nod' vid. Loved it. You are so talented!

  • Oh thank you so much! And thank you for subscribing! I hope we can be friends! Have a great weekend!

  • too commercial, for me its NO art, get more expressive

  • I'm not really an expressionistic painter, but I appreciate the critique.

  • I liked it! By the way, do you know which room they were going to put it in?

  • Thanks Shrimp91! Yeah it's going in their front room or living room as we call it in the States. It'll be hung over their 2 seater or loveseat as we call it...yeah well you know...lol!

  • Pretty cool Missy.. never seen anything like that before. Nice work (Smile)

    Les

  • Thank you Les! It's always great to hear from you. :D

  • Wow you've gotten so much better infront of the camera since the first few videos I saw a while back. Nice painting.

  • Thanks MrFokai. I thought I looked kinda dopey m'self, but hey at least I'm not spazzing right? :)

  • very nice painting of your work. the leaves of those different types of clors and the trees do tell something.

  • Thanks copywheeleye! I'm not quite sure what they tell though.

  • Great piece of art there. I would have loved to see some shots of the actual room...and how your work looked in context. I wonder if your customer cut from the couch in order to get the couch samples? Wow....I am glad to have subscribed to all these great videos of yours. Lol.

  • Yeah Mellomel, I think I'm gonna have to see if I can get some pics of it in the house :). LOL! nah she had extra apholstery samples. Thanx for subscribing! :D

  • Hey pixelchick, I like your work... and I like how you riped someones house apart and cut up their couch and stuff to make it LOL nah j/k It's classy and clean I like it.. My sisters do the same kind of paintings/pictures. I'll try and get photos :)

    Ciao!

p.s wheres my shoutout on the bus LOL ;)

  • LOL! Yeah that's what I do DrReaps. I take my pocket knife and go to town gettin' all the materials I need...xD! Thank you!

It'd be great to see yer sis's work! Do share!

...working out that London vid still probbly won't be able to finish it 'til sometime next week...sorry

    :(...but it's coming!

  • You should get a picture of it in her house

  • Yeah I'll try Sam! She lives a couple towns away.

  • Right on!

  • The painting is fantastic! I've always been in awe of people who have the patience to do what you do. Keep em' coming. :-)

  • Aw shucks Michele! No need to be in awe...you saw how frustrated I was when it wouldn't dry. It's like my life's at a stand-still and I can't move on to other things. Thanks girl!

  • hehe, u look tired from that mountain trip thingy. anyways i like that painting. for the other video, it looked like u drew the leaves. haha, pretty cool how u used like a couch and wallpaper material for leaves. very nice

  • Thank you tangy! Yeah I was out of it on that vid...dunno why. But glad you liked my artwork.

  • the last shot where you show the whole painting, that was when it made sense. it's a nice composition and the colors are well chosen.

  • Thanks jaromo7! Yeah..I was building up the suspense see...ha yeah right;) I'm kidding, but I appreciate the comments about the colors and composition.

  • That's great ! I love all the textures that you used. I can't wait for more video blogs from you. =D You know, I was just thinking that your computer chair looks really comfy.

  • Thank you Kohno! I'm glad you liked the texture. I'm a very tactile person so I love texture. Yeah I need to buckle down and just throw a blog on here...not that I haven't tried doin' any...I just feel like I ramble and they get boring...dunno. I'm still waiting for the next episode of 'The Kori & Steph Show'. Yeah the chair is comfy, but I've been wearing it out sitting in it hours on end.:)

  • passionate

  • Hey Grizz! Thaks!...Glad you liked it. :)

Yup if we could all survive doing what we're pasionate :)..er or passionate about, that would be great. I wish I could say painting is how I get by, but unfortunately I too must work for 'THE MAN'! :(

  • LOL! I make that joke about 'passionate' and go and spell 'Thanks' wrong :l

  • ha ha

  • I hate workin for the man.If only I could win the Lottery.

  • Yer preachin' to chior Grizz! I wanna win the lotto too. :)

  • Nice work!Lets see you get paid for doing something that you are pasionate about, love to do and are very good at.Sounds like a dream job to me.some people dread getting up every morning to go to jobs they hate.Keep it up the painting looks awesome.

  • Thats the kind of art I like clean & simple and not overly stated or cluttered. Excellent job!!

  • YAY! I'm glad you liked it Christy :)

  • That really sweet. I like the offset of the tree; and I'm sure the fabric really works well in the room. If you can get a picture of the painting in her house that would be awesome.

  • I'll look into that MiteshTrivedi. I appreciate your comments and excellent critique of the piece.

  • I made a new series of works that were more decorative - metal and wood collage wall pieces - because my other work was getting political and edgy I guess. I called it my "non-threatening" work. ha. I think will all the bad news these days, people just want something nice on the wall that matches the couch. Nothing wrong with that. I've sold quite a few.

  • Yup! I agree. It seems these days couch art is the way to go. Does this mean we're selling out?

Nah! I don't think so, because the buyer is entrusting us with our artistic touch to make a piece that they can proudly showcase in their homes. Which is cool. Ya can't beat personalized, one-of-a-kind art!

  • No, it's not selling out. It's getting paid for what you do. I thought it was kind of fun, too, to make art for a specific person and place. I would do it all the time as long as the $$ was there. (OMG, I'm a closet capitalist). Make money! Sell art...otherwise you get buried in your own work.

  • LOL Steve! So true! Hey we all have to survive right? But if we can leave some neat creations behind, for people to enjoy and cherish, that's pretty darn cool.

  • You see, the brown color leaves need to work together with the white color leaves to make a better harmoney. Oh wait! I think I used those words before on another video!

Actually & seriously, I congratulate you on that painting being placed on someone else's wall. That person finds your artwork valuable. And so do we... from your video's to your arwork. That's why we come back for more!

  • LOL!FreeWingz....I was gonna say...those words sound all too familiar! XD

Thanx FreeWingz!...always awaiting yer comments...and no recycling comments again, ya hear?

  • I found it funny that you totally zoned out for a minute there... which explains why there are no green leaves since the green fumes can do things like that to a person when inhaled. (I never inhaled green in my life)

  • Good thing FreeWingz!...um what colors have you in haled? LOL!

  • well....we know freewingz can suck down amber pretty well :)..

nice painting pixel...i like it even though i don't normally like mixed media art work..well done (thumbs up)

    cyk.

  • Thanx cyk! LOL! Yeah we shouldn't pick on FreeWingz :P

Well, I'm glad you liked MY mixed media work. :)

  • inhale green what? LOL oh man i dont inhale colors....0_o

  • Yeah me niether, but evidentally green is one color to definitely avoid...O_o

  • Nice work. I will post my collage video as a response and ride on your coattails if that's ok.

  • Thanks Steve! I'm honored to have a video response from you, especially the collage vid :)

  • Really nice work, great to see what comes out of that creative mind, thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you acmesa7. I appreciate you letting me share my work with you and your sweet comments :)

  • Thanx mikma! Always a pleasure to receive a visit and comment from you :).

  • he's still everywhere .. not sure if he ever visited me LOL...

    :(

  • Awww! DrReaps He'll visit you I'm sure he will! :) LOL!

  • beautiful work done by a beautiful person. well done i say! xxx

  • Gee thanks SYstematiklySYkotic. I am totally flattered by your comment. Too kind.

  • Nice painting. I like the simplicity of it. It's peaceful :)

  • I appreciate that Minn. That's exactly what I wanted to convey.

  • I really like the earthy tones, an excellent painting.

  • Thank you BadAlbert! I appreciate you taking the time to look at my videos and telling me what you think.

  • WOW does this girls talent ever stop. from action to painting i dare to think what could be next :) i wish i could paint like that, i cant draw for nuts, anything thing to use Vs the f.b.i

  • LOL! Thanks Matt! The whole artist thing...it's my cover ;)...LOL!

  • I think it looks real nice. I like how you did the leaves. I actually like to paint a lot of trees. maybe I'll do a video of a tree painting.

  • Thanks johnnysmooth! Looking forward to seeing one of your tree paintings. Thanks for adding one of your pieces as a vid response btw.

  • I'm actually very relived at what you did with the painting.I had concerns that you were going to glue little plastic easter eggs, with little mardi gras, king cake babys inside. This is much better.P.S if ya'll don't know what a king cake baby is try googleing,it is somewhat interesting.

  • LOL steely! I went ahead and looked up king cake baby....nope don't think I have it in me to paste those on any of my paintings...nope. Thank you ;)

  • It's a very nice piece, indeed! Because the paint is so thick and sculpted, the three-dimensionality of the leaves works. The overall simplicity and the off-center design hints at large spaces and tugs at the imagination. I like!

    Thanks for sharing! :-)

  • Very well observed Urgelt! Where were you during my University critiques? I'm glad you liked it :)

  • I think thats kinda neat that you used different materials for the leaves like that. I think it look really great although i wonder why not every leaf got stuff on it? I just kinda think the other leaves could of used materal as well. Overall it turned out great tho. Losta hard work I can tell. I'd charge premium for it.

  • Hey tetsuorocks! Funny my sister said the same thing when she saw it. I had considered it, but it looked too cluttered which I wanted to avoid. Yeah it was time consuming, but I'm glad you liked it.

  • That would look nice im my living rooom, awesomr painting!

  • Thanx Sly! I appreciate you saying that. :)

  • hey mija whatever happened to the shout out video?

  • Hey fusie! I'm workin' on it and I didn't forget you my friend ;). It'll be out sometime next week for sure. I'll keep you posted.:)

  • I love it! I would have bought it if it had been for sell and what's a commissioned project. :) Great work, and it sounds like she was quite pleased with it too. Oh, and excellent planning for it, considering her decor style when designing the work. :)

    *two thumbs up*

  • Thanks so much blueathena! A commission is basically just a job, so when she commissioned me, she just hired me to do a personal piece of artwork. Thankfully she was pleased :).
