PC's with superior build quality can be had for far less. They contain premium capacitors, voltage stabilizers, faster bus etc and more creating higher reliability that apple can't compete with. Then when they finally got faster i7, they wanted nearly $2000 for the same thing I could get for $700. Hong Kong is great. Almost everyone is multilingual and friendly to foreigners, however I still don't get why there is such a massive hype behind a store selling just apple products. It's not like apple is superior to androids or any other phones. It appears to me that Hong Kong people are obsessed with iphone and ipads to show off to their mates and not actually for its benefits :(

@CNBLEW Many people disagree with you. Design is important. Apple takes more time and effort in designing good products than its competition. Many people who own droids are also considering switching because of how lacking/incomplete the user experience feels to them. The age of selling computers and software purely on specifications is over. The dawn of productivity is here, ushered in by Apple. Your rationale of the show-off is stereotypical to say the least, but lacks real insight.

there was once that im on the mtr. there were 2 men standing aside, and one of them was holding an iphone 3gs. the other man saw it and take his i pad out, just flipping over and doing nothing. so then the guy with the iphone takes his ipad2 out and the ipad guy was so awkward.
how stupid is this? just for showing off and everyone on the train was like omg a battle of apple products again

@CNBLEW Hong Kong has a lot of popular technologies and apple is currently one of the popular technologies being sold in the HK market and people here love the products apple sells since you would see someone holding an iPhone, iPad or a Mac when you walk around HK. As for the store, it's just people appreciating that an official apple store store here in HK is opened cause before it's just you have to go to third party retailers to buy an apple product

@CNBLEW Well i would say people get iPhones because they are family friendly, easy communications like facetime and facebook goes pretty well with their 3G unlimited plan. And you could ask the exactly same question to the whole world. Not only Hong Kong is getting hyped. Plus in Hong Kong(China) there are more cool or stylish accessories than anywhere in the world, making it easily accessible. Well thats my opinion =3

@Silverjda Ok besides facetime. Symbian OS is just a dying system, its slow, has a lot of issues with ovi and other things, but i do give Nokia points for their hardware. Who doesn't want a fast, slim phone thats quick at what it does, has almost every app you can think of.
