There's a soldier juggling a cascade with two grenades and a rocket in the Team Fortress 2: Meet the Scout video. It's only there for a split second though, so you can't tell if he qualifies the pattern.
It was indeed originally for the PSP, compromised of three games. However, all three were stuck together and remade for the PSP. Problem is though, they cut so much stuff from the PS1 games!
If you enjoyed Popolocrois on the PSP then you will likely enjoy the PS1 games far more. Some education on Japanese is required however if you cannot be bothered then there are some guides on Gamefaqs =)
In the Metal Gear Solid Rising there is a mission, where a "robot" juggling bowling skittles in cascade pattern ;-)
