  • It's funny how living in the USA affected Dr. Von Braun's accent. He sounds more like a French-Canadian than a German immigrant!

  • Vaughn Braun and Einstien;.........The greatest scientists ever.

  • Mr. Von Braun did so much for our country and for the world. He ranks among the worlds greatest minds of all time. He was also a first class gentleman.

  • "Once the the rockets go up, who cares where they come down?

That's not my department" says Wernher von Braun.

  • This is beautiful *sheds tear*

  • Dr. Wernher von Braun was a great man,a great scientist.HE IS A LEGEND FOR EVER!

  • Von Braun is one of the greatest scientist ever and the world will always miss him.Werner respect and rip.

  • NOBODY today is able to achieve what he and his team achieved. Engineers are no longer practical enough.

  • @ziegle9876 in fact todays engineers are fully incompetent compared to those of the 50's..

they can only follow blue prints by codes they have no imagination to solve a problem in alternate ways...

I say this as I am an engineer who has done a little bit more than following someone else blue prints...

  • This man had a vision and he is the personified flight to the moon.

  • Dr. Von Braun was an incredible person...not really enough room here to state all the many positive things about him however suffice it to say he had limitless energy, charm and imagination.

  • Von Braun and Sergei Korolov was the greatest aerospace scientist ever. Von Braun deserves most if not all the credit for the Apollo program. The world could not be in space without their knowledge and intellect. Korolov to us to space and Von Braun lived longer to take us to the moon.

  • he was one of the most brilliant minds of all times

  • I have to agree with Sxille: Dr. von Braun was one of the most brilliant minds of all time. The blithering idiot who provided the negative rating for Sxille's posting just shows how small someone's mind truly can be.

  • he was amazing, he had amazing mind.Respect R.I.P

  • I don't normally identify people as personal heroes, but I can honestly say that von Braun is one of mine because of his contributions to manned spaceflight.

  • He was great und kind of not respected cause his past. A shame that Hitler ruled Germany otherwise von Braun would have been a hero here in germany and probably germany reached the moon :)

  • We respect him and value his contributions here in Huntsville, AL- which is exactly why he was selected for the Space Camp Hall of Fame.

  • @sharpanator

    yes i agree with u :)
