I too would love to have online game play as this would give a new depth of realaty to the games. If you figure out how to do this let me know it would be awsome. i agree with katitty, their are aspects of the games the true players want and just new ideas that creaters spend all their time on but leave tones of stuff out and then try to sell them and make a lot of money. the only games that make the money are the pet games and the games that make the sims more real to us.

This seems like a really fun game but sadly I will not be buying it. I'm a little disappointed that it has nothing to do with the main game, that its a game all on its own. Now I know that there has been versions of the Sims in the past where they were independent games but never were they the same price as the main game. That is my second reasoning for not buying this when it comes out. Why does it have to be so damn expensive when the other games are priced high... seriously come on EA!

I'm pretty excited about the new Sims Medieval. I won't know until it arrives but I love that time period. They say its a Base game and they will probably see how it sells before any expansions take off..But since Buccaneers Bay I don't buy right away anymore...plus I'll need to borrow that hamster to help my HD add another game to my PC too!

I'd love if they had a version of the Sims where you start in the middle ages and play through generations to the present day (and beyond?). I like games like that, but I love the idea of following one bloodline in the way you follow a family in the Sims, which I have yet to find!

@IxIPaincakesIxI This isn't an expansion for The Sims 3, it's a completely different game. Notice how it says "The Sims Medieval" and not "The Sims 3 Medieval"? The next Sims 3 expansion is due out sometime in May, but we have no idea what it is going to be. It may very well have seasons or pets...Who knows?
