Reminds me of a time I tried explaining how many directions/meaining "whats up" can mean by tone to Emi. Lucky for me, she was a fantastic english speaker (while I can't speak a lick of Japanese.) but on the flip-side she had a ruff understanding of idioms and expressions.
Whats up: hello, to how are you, are you ok, to challenging someone to a fight, etc, etc etc.
English must be a very complicated language to learn with all it's multi meanings.
Wouldnt it be better to teach people wanting to speak English English rather than American English? AS in, 'How are you doing' instead of 'How ya doing'? Its easier to understand language structure if you do it in proper english, and you can learn more indirectly from each phrase. Teaching corrputed or abreivated American English should probably be done at a higher level, once you've learnt proper English well.

I am a japanese origin brasilian engineer and I liked it because I can study both languages!

I thought that my English was middle level.
However, I didn't know some phrases you teach me.
Your lesson is so interesting that I really enjoy it!
P.S.
What's your email address?
I want to know.
