Great review! I saw the movie when it first came out and I was biased because I had seen "The Illusionist" first and liked it better because... well... it's a chick flick. But now I want to watch the Prestige again. (And by the way, I think the clones should do more reviews =] )

Did you see the movie first or read the book first? I wonder if the order affected your reactions to the different endings. But this is a great review and I really want to read the book now - even if it is the inferior version, it sounds really interesting!

I'm back again. I narrow it down to three Christmas stories with Santa Claus in them instead: The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, The Polar Express or How the Grinch Stole Christmas. If you do the Grinch you'll will most likely review that awful Ron Howard movie right?

E.T. Movie!Reaction for the win. Exactly my own. I actually had to rewind the ending and rewatch it to make sure I'd seen it correctly.

Really need to read book now, but judging just by this review, it seems like the movie tells a stronger, more concise story. The reason for starting the feud, the twist at the end, all seem to have more punch in the movie by taking them one step further than the book did.

Loved the quick sum-up argument between Matt and Hatter.

Also, I rather enjoyed the adaptation more than what I read of the novel, possibly because of all the framing in the novel that got a bit confusing.

Since your next review is Christmas themed, I think it's going to be either A Christmas Carol, The Gift of the Magi, Cricket on the Hearth, Skipping Christmas or it could be The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus because you did look at the Santa Claus hat at the end of the video.

I do wonder what your neighbours think of all this evil laughing . . . I think the thing I like most about The Prestige is that the two prestiges should feel like cheats, it shouldn't work, it should feel like a cheap twist ending, and yet somehow it doesn't. Is there anything Nolan can't do? :D

I think ET needs to do more reviews. Maybe something about movie and TV villains . . . oh, wait . . . . :)

ET's reaction at the end of the movie was pretty much mine. And I was on a flight home at the time, having finally seen this movie I was so hyped about after 4months wait, and then an ending like that ... the rest of the flight was excruciating, I wanted to geek about the film so badly. :)

@ghostwritten87 Actually, I seem to remember seeing my family for the first time in six months, and being all 'Omg, have you seen The Prestige?!' far sooner than was appropriate. :)

Anyway, this BvM was so good that I'm going to have to watch it all again. Comment spam, comment spam . . . :D
