There are photos of the impact hole of Flight 11 including the long slashes made by each wing and photos of an engine on the street. I know of no impact witness who said they never saw the plane(s). But the police specifically told the pilots not to land on the towers because the current situation was "hazardous and unstable for a rooftop landing". Years before, the police and fire department agreed that the police department would continue the operations of helicopters to themselves.
