  • Rooney Mara you are an Idol.

  • Rooney Mara did a phenomenal job. Truly, truly incredible.

  • Rooney Mara is the bomb...

total rockstar performance. She better win that oscar.

  • Why comparing Mara's Salander and Rapace's Salander ? Why not comparing them to Larsson's Salander instead ? I did it and my conclusion was that even if Rapace did a brilliant job, Mara's approache and look were more respectful.

  • i like this movie, watch complete muvie on my wall

  • @Wenzzb dont watch it on his channel! GO OUT AND WATCH IT AND SUPPORT THEM SO THEY MAKE THE SEQUELS!

  • Very good movie I just saw it this afternoon. Felt so sad for her at the end.

  • I want her hair!!!

  • best film iv seen in years

  • I always imagined Lisbeth Salander looking like Katherine Moenning....

  • fucking awesome movie

  • fucking awesome movie

  • Do someone knows the music?

  • I'm convinced that those who like Neils Arden Oplev's version more have not read the book. Oplev's movie was solid and Noomi Rapace's performance was unforgettable, but Fincher's version surpasses the swedish movie in almost every way possible. It was faithful to the text and much more cinematic. And Rooney Mara knocked her role out of the park as well.

  • @hamsterdam92 , I respect your opinion but have to disagree. The original movie(s) followed the book(s) "spot-on". From what I've see though, the american movie does have much better "film" quality ; very cinematic, as you mention. I reserve final judgement until I've seen the new movie. I may even change my mind, we'll see. By the way; I have read all three books 3 times each and I watched the movies even more. I think Noomi's Lisbeth is about as good as it gets. JMO

  • @badbob961 yea watch the new one :) I found parts of the new one more true to the book than the Swedish one

  • i saw it, it was amazing! but the rape scene is awful :( thank god she gets revenge ;)

  • MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! But, seriously Sony Pictures promises to produce the last two films if the film does well financially enough.

  • I rate this movie at a 100/10. WAY BETTER THAN THE SWEDISH VERSION. I didnt want this movie to end :(

  • Curious, so the movie that is in theaters now is the same as the movie that was put out in 2009? (I just watched the 09 movie last night and it was great.)

  • Okay, if you havn't seen the movie, then shut up. The add campaign is brilliant, the director is great, the music is awesome (It inspires awe. yes). All of you snobs that want to discredit the film just because it is a remake should just discredit yourself as a film lover. Example: "The Departed" is a remake of the Hong Kong film "Internal Affairs."

Stop trying to be so pretentious and look at things objectively. Look at me, I'm watching trailers of the movie AFTER I've seen it. It's good.

  • @TheMoFauxs Well said!

  • @moogleone Lulz!

  • i hate that everyone thinks this is a remake of the swedish movie (which was also really good) it's just an adaption of the book because most people probably didn't watch the dubbing because dubbing is shit :( so they can bring it to a new audience

  • Yeah, this looks horrid. Not watching it.

  • @AmericanConcrete just. like. you.

  • @AmericanConcrete You will regret it. It's amazing. They both are great but this was has the amazing quality with it. Fincher's best possibly.

  • the girl with no eyebrows!

  • @thevirtualnightmare

    they're bleached.

  • This sucks I hope they loose so much money producing this crap!

  • I just watched it and it was totally awesome.... It was way better than the swedish one and I'm saying this as a swede :)

  • @alwaysseverussnape I didn't like the original much either, it lacked something I can't put my finger on. I'm French and I usually prefer movies made in their respective countries and not the remakes, but this was wayyyy better remade.

  • I don't know what you all see in her. What I see is a girl who looks shockingly similar to Marilyn Manson. Creepy as hell.

  • this movie is fucking awesome

  • I think this is going to suck. I watched the original trilogy on netflix and I loved it. But This looks a little too over the top, like an american directed the movie for an american audience. Go figure.

  • @tigane1 It's actually rather understated and just as talky as the Swedish version. It's excellent. It complements the Swedish film by doing different things very well (such as focusing on different aspects of Lisbeth and Mikael, the Wennerstrom affair, the poor cat, etc.). I plan on owning both because they're such different interpretations of the story yet they both represent it so well.

  • @quicksandbuddy Praise Jesus! They didn't screw it up and I didn't get bitched out by a youtube commenter! Thanks for the info.

  • Great movie, please don't be a bad remake!

  • Movie was just okay. This is not a Daniel Craig kind of movie

  • Oh my god, an american movie version of this series?? I'm fucking stoked. Haven't had the chance to see the swedish version yet.

  • @Triceritrozer I saw the swedish version and I absolutely loved it. I know Hollywood maybe be out to screw this classic up now. Just sad when us American fuck with good works.

  • @meoshewu why are you saying that like you're an american? you're not american.

  • She's rather pretty, considering she doesn't have eye brows..

  • @elfofhorror She has eyebrows but they are just very light blonde.

  • Oh shit - is it tomorrow yet?

  • More like "Girl with the fucked up face" with all do respect...just sayin...

  • The only reason I watched this video because I wanted to see what's with the "Dragon Tattoo" ? and I was wondering if she had some super powers or something

  • @XxTheTerrorOfDeathxX

The character Lisbeth Salander has a dragon tatto on her back.

  • Idk, the Swedish version maybe wasn't perfect, but the movies were good and I liked Noomi Rapace better as Lisbeth. I don't know if Hollywood can make the movie any better, but at least they got decent actors.

  • @Elricwulf Not to mention one of the best (if not the best) directors in the world right now.

  • Män som hatar kvinnor <3

  • I like Noomi, however, she wasn't what I imagined Lisbeth to physically look; I always thought Noomi looked too pretty and older. Rooney Mara's version is exactly how I pictured Lisbeth to look.

  • Daniel Craig is to good for this kind of movies

  • I meant Noomi Repace.

  • I don't like the person playing Lisbeth here. Ive seen the original and love Booming Repace as Lisbeth. I get nothing from this one. Everyone is so excited abut it just because its David Fincher directing it. But I dontlike how he made her Lol or the fact that he had to make an adaption of it. The original was great. I really hate how its become a trend as well. Thanks Fincher.

  • I hate it how the americans have to do remakes just because they suck at dubbing : ... i'll stick to the original....

  • @AngelusProducti0ns Amen to that. Pure laziness.

  • trailer man's voice is ridiculous. wud love to meet him.

  • FFFFFFFINCHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

  • idk.........i kinda like how lisbeth looks in this one......i imagine her more like this when reading the book

  • oh god another version? fuck, i guess you have to realy like it to watch the same movie again

  • A part of me is looking forward to this version another part of me is scared to see it... I think I will see it just to feed my curiosity, although I gotta get it off my chest that I do not like the way they made Lisbeth have practically no eyebrows >.< okai I'm good now :D

  • err....Hello <.<.... David Flincher is the fuckign Director, This movie is not going to have an ounce of suck..

  • @edmaster44 Fincher is the ONLY director who could do this material justice. Any other director would try to "tone it down", and those of us who've read the book know that you CANNOT TONE THIS DOWN. If it were any other director besides Fincher (ok, Darren Arornofsky, maybe), I'd have said forget it.

  • that's my girrrrrl

  • fucking hollywood stealing ideas from European movies...

  • The girl looks good i want to see this film

  • i thought the story was interesting. but theres so many characters. it was hard to keep up

  • she is really...really ugly, my god bitch make an effort

  • Harriets alive. c:

  • @chickenlegs429 Shhhhhh :P

  • Do someone knows the music?

  • Den amerikanska selander ser ju för jävlig ut

  • what the hell is the guy saying before the clip ends!?

  • @Darknessore11 u deaf bro?

  • The film is not 100% accurate, because LIsbeth never wears a bra before the 2nd book

  • @ninjatiger95 She did when she dressed as Irene Nesser and Monica Sholes (which is the clip that was shown).

  • @MadonnasMrDj Ok, maybe

  • I saw the american version and it was exactly like the book, nothing changed.

  • wow........i love the reason for the "R" rating

  • I'm tired of people saying that the Swedish version is better. You people don't have enough faight in David Fincher. He is one of the greatest modern directors, and he is NOT going to shit all over this franchise. Haven't you people seen The Social Network? Fight Club? Both directed by Fincher. He won't let us down.

  • @WakeEdits No, i don't play cod

  • That girl is so hot

  • This trailer is crap.... they need to make a better one

  • I for one am pumped. It looks great.

  • Starring Marilyn Manson.

  • Thats cool

  • she looks like a hot lesbian

  • Comment removed

  • 0:28 battlefield 3 music?

  • fan asså jävla amerikaner förstör orginalet!

  • tumen up alla svenar så att alla americanerna tror att vi snackar om nånting coolt + om man bodde i uppsala när dom filmade filmen :9

  • @MxMxM699 Lolz the swedish trailer is better

  • @MxMxM699 Jag undrar om du verkligen är svensk.. Tummen* Svennar* Amerikaner* någonting* :)*

  • this actually looks like it will be pretty similar to the Swedish one, whose male lead was distractingly unattractive.

  • I'm sorry. I will not be watching this. Watched the Swedish ones and they were excellent!!!! As someone mentioned they weren't fully representative of the novels but which movie ever is? This whole project to have a do over in English is pathetic and unworthy of my $.

  • I havent even seen the swedish on lol

  • A pointless remake considering the quality of the original. But you still know it's going to kick ass with Fincher at the helm and a Hollywood-sized budget.

  • Im sorry but I have read the book and I saw the swedish version,Im not saying it sucked. I like the actors in the swedish version, but I felt like they left a lot out and changed things. They didnt have the budget for it. But I dont think its fair to judge this one just because its a Hollywood version. It could suck- though I doubt it! theres too much talent involved.

  • @bellajacklil It won't suck....David Fincher is directing it.

  • @bellajacklil Agree. Agree. Agree.

  • This is going to be hard to compete with the Swedish version. The Swedish version was pretty sadistic and this English version might be played down a little bit, so you won't be able to relate to the character like should.

  • @kungfu71186 It's David Fincher and his past films eg Se7en and Fight Club were considerably more sadistic and dark than the Swedish story. Plus this has an R rating so he'll be getting away with the rape scene.

  • ultimately rotten tomatoes or anyone else has no sway over what i enjoy, this version or the old one, just enjoy what you want and try and smoke a lil weed every now and then, and work hard for what you want in life, you only have a limited time on earth enjoy it how you want! and when you get wherever your goin, let them know grindtildeath sent you

  • The Serial killer is the Nazis son

They find out he didn't kill the chick that the old man was looking for

it Turns out she Ran Away to Australia because

She killed her Drunk Father as he was trying to abuse her

    the end

  • I hope this movie is better than the shitty book.

  • How can you all know the swedish one is better? It isn't even out yet. And the reviews doesn't tell us so... just chek on Rotten Tomatoes, it has 94% of approval. David Fincher is the man. So you all could just shut up and enjoy both versions of a great story. This annoying little war about wich one is better is getting on my nerves already.

  • @arthurshfan i think were all going off the trailer, myself included. For me the first thing is the new lisbet, she seems timid and helpless which is total opposite of the lisbet from the 2009 version and on a miniscule note the new version trailer shows her only having a miniscule shoulder tatoo as compared to the original which is a full back dragons head and a tail that comes through her leg, sick as hell imo. The actors are all new to us and lastly, ive seen this movie before.

  • @grindtildeath First of all: Lisbeth IS supposed to LOOK fragile, timid and helpless... that's how she is described in the books. Noomi's Lisbeth was awesome, but she was a bit different here and there from the book's description. Second, her dragon tattoo is big; just look at the first trailer, that one with the remix of Immigration Song; it's exactly like in the books. Third, okay, you'll mis a great film, man. And lastly, stop comparing it to the swedish other film; compare it to the BOOK! (:

  • First see the movie, then comment.

  • How much you wanna bet that there's a sex seen?

  • @Zorach33 There is a sex scene

  • @TechFXpunk called it

  • @Zorach33 Theres two actually. And two rape scenes. :)

  • this damn movie is old as fuck. ive seen this on netflix on my nephew's wii. its just like that movie case 39

  • WTF is everyone talking about Swiss for?

Swedish. Not Swiss. Taking offense here.

  • @chris91wd i dont care if its better than the american one. the american one has daniel craig in it, so im going to watch it! :D

  • @chris91wd I..but...this is just a 0:33 second trailer ಠ_ಠ

  • @chris91wd What a bullshit hipster thing to say especially since the Swedish one was unremarkable with poor physical resemblance between character-actor, and relied too heavily on a strong screenplay (itself based on existing source material) and mediocre direction. Oh, and since you obviously haven't seen this version to judge its merit, the Swedish one must automatically be better? Great logic.

  • @chris91wd Good to know you can make that judgement even though the American one hasn't been released yet. Thanks.

  • @ES55509 I'm human bitch!

  • @chris91wd

And you haven't even seen this one. Shut the fuck up.

  • @chris91wd have you seen the english one??? and the english version is way better david fincher? come on now!

  • @chris91wd So you managed to see a movie that's not out for 5 more days? Or is there once again another dumbass judging the movie based on the history of adaptations? Just to clarify this, the same person directing this is the same person that directed Fight Club, Zodiac, The Social Network & other great movies that were actually adaptations. So if there was 1 person to trust with book to movie adaptations, it would be David Fincher.

  • what a load of garbage. who would buy this trash anyway. talk about the decline of western civilization

  • wat wasn't this already release a few years ago?

  • @tamere216 - R u retarded?

  • You know what a good movie to watch tonight is? "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!" It's not old so why make another adaption when an amazing one was already made?

  • @xSasquatchFTW Because Hollywood needs another 28 million dollars!

  • @xXMapleVodkaXx well there go originality fer y'all but I'm am in the business of doing parodies videos on YouTube so over look what I just said.

  • @AwesomeBlackDude ....Okay.....

  • @xXMapleVodkaXx Perfect sense.

  • @nixblood Yep!

  • haha Looks like Sweden with the ICA paperbag, the subway, etc

  • james bond!!! :D

  • when i first saw the thumbnail i thought it was naked person in fetal position o.0

  • pff, if you gonna watch this, watch the damn original.

  • i thought this is something about skyrim.....

  • Why anyone would pay to see this is beyond me.

  • holy shit! is that gaga at 0:21?

  • This girl is no Lisbeth. Noomi is the perfect girl to portray the character!

  • @T1memaster Thank you for judging me.You know there's a difference between "stupid" and anger?I'm actually fairly intelligent and understanding of the world but I'm sick of these stereotypes agains everything American.I'm really looking forward to this film and am sick of everyone on the Internet making these idiotic claims about "dumb hollywood and American people".You don't know me, stop acting like you do.And to the other guy defending America (not me though I understand I seem dim witted in

  • look at why it is rated R, the only reason i was see it......

  • The Swiss "the girl..." films were brilliant. I gave "Tatoo" five stars in Netflix. I expect "the west" to fuck it up, as a lot of the brilliance of "foreign" films is in the direction and in the timing of the scenes. I could be surprised. At least I hope "Lizbeth" looks better naked rather than like half-boy.

  • @LucisFerre1 PS, There are exceptions, as in "Let me in"; the western version was leagues ahead of the Swiss version.

  • @LucisFerre1 "The West"...? You do know that Sweden is part of "the west"?
