My lord that video review is annoying! Why does he hold the iPad like that at such an angle so you can't easily see the most important things - like what is happening on the iPad! :)
The reason that the return command isn't working is because you're making the vfertical line longer than the horizontal line. Do a short vertical and a long horizontal and it will work every time. This is NOT a flaw in the program.

It’s Apple’s iPad cover. I don’t recommend it because easily picks up smudges and dirt.
