  • Nice to see Jess Walton in her PRE Y&R days :)

  • i love that song with you i'm born again. thanks for putting this up

  • I agree w/ y'all. I really liked the scene w/Jimmy and Julie in bed. It's all so romantical. What soap's got romance these days? And I was liking how it all looked. I grew up watchin the ABC soaps. They were always real bright and flat. I was lovin the dark lighting in this clip and how there were shadows on the faces of the actors of the trees thru the windows and stuff. And the fire and the flowers. It's beautyful!

  • I am so thrilled you posted this!!! I started a fan club for Nicholas Walker on Facebook and I know he will be thrilled to see these!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • It's nice to see happier times with Trey and Kelly, as most of what I know of them is sadness.

Was it difficult for viewers to distinguish Julie from Jenny? Aside from Jenny having a bit more distinguished voice they seem to be the same.

This is such an earnest show. You can really see Conboy's interweaving with Bill Bell, as Y&R was like this, and so were B&B's early years.

  • @CarlD2 I loved Trey and Kelly. In fact, I prefer Jess Walton in this type of role, and Nicholas Walker played Trey so exquisitely. He was a very complex character, often cruel and yet had an enormous capacity for joy when he was loved. I have an episode from February 1987, exactly one year after this telecast, and makes a marvelous bookend to this one, as you see Trey in the depths of despair at having lost Kelly to Thomas. Capitol was a wonderful series. Too shortlived, IMO.

  • @saynotoursoap I've only ever seen Jess as Jill so this seems drab in comparison but she brings a lot of layers to the role and she has more effortless chemistry here with Walker than I remember her having with most of her leading men on Y&R.

Capitol is one of those shows I wish someone would rerun on a cable channel. I've seen bits and pieces, some better than others, but this episode was great! I connected so quickly to the characters and their emotions.

  • @CarlD2 Hickland did a splendid job with Julie/Jenny. You & I discussed twins on SON. I amend my statement with an exception. I enjoyed this story, and I love the subtlety of CH's performance. Watch her lower her head slightly & turn away from Zed when thanking him for loving her in Part 2. So different than Julie. Soap twins are usually disparate. IMO, that is much easier to play than this -two characters who are essentially the same. This requires true command of the craft with nuanced acting.

  • @CarlD2 didnt you think cat hickland did a better job then the first julie.

  • @myrabradwell40 I haven't seen very much of the first Julie, but I've always been impressed with Cat's performances in her soap roles.

  • @myrabradwell40 Do you remember the first Kelly?
