  • THE ONLY people that stand by any of there warranties is SEARS yeah its a bit expensive but do you know how much stuff i've taken back they fixed it or replaced it for free of charge.

  • I have a Polaroid film 3232 that goes off after running for awhile crackling sound from speakers then video drops to a green screen with vertical lines and will not power off, pulled the plug, let it set for a time and it comes back on, took apart and the one transformer on the board seems to be extra hot with bubbly on the coating, no popped caps found on the power board, any ideas?

  • Envisionelec, I have a Polaroid film 3232, and what I believe is a power board prob also, runs fine for awhile then a crackling sound comes out of speakers then units picture shuts down to a green screen with vertical lines. I opened it up and with care plugged it back in, after several minutes one of the two "the top one" one the board got hot and the case looks bubbly on the board side, I checked all the caps and none look "popped up" when it cools down its ok, any ideas please!

  • Rather than going through all of this trouble, why not read the information at the time of purchase? I certainly wouldn't make such a purchase. You could have had the repair done by a local shop for less than the price you paid for the plan. Making a video after the fact doesn't make you look to swift. I guess it got you your money eventually. Sounds like you were hoodwinked and bamboozled by a minimum wage employee of wal mart. I'd probably keep that to myself.

  • @JohnCBarleycorn I finally was able to get my full amount of money back.. and also returned the TV to walmart and got another TV + my money.. so i got one over on them... :) ill keep that to myself.. besides you :)

  • @willyboxc So... In your mind it's wrong for Wal-Mart to give you an option to purchase a warranty, which you agreed to, and which you had all the opportunity to review and reclaim your money - But, it's ok for you to swindle Wal-Mart in effect Stealing from them. I'd say that's is very hypocritical.

  • @willyboxc First off, if you had bothered to read all of the terms instead of just the bits that made you think you were going to get a check because you wanted one, you probably would have found something that says something along the lines of buying the warranty means you agree to the terms the company offering it sets, not the terms you want. Second, you just kept the fact that you committed fraud to yourself, the other poster, and everyone else in the world with internet access. Fucktard.

  • say if i pushed my tv off the tv stand and it fell and broke while it is still under warranty, does anyone know if they would replace it? i have a samsung 50"

  • I have 32 inch tv/dvd combo and the dvd player won't play any dvd's now. Says "no disc". There are hundreds of post from others having the same problem. I was wondering if there is a fix for this?

  • There probably is... I would keep looking on youtube.. or try taking the TV apart =)

  • My TV seems to be going out! The blue light will come on but the TV will not. Sometimes i'll hit the power button and the light wont even go blue! I called the polaroid support people and he was like "oh we can send you a new power board. oh and that will cost you 225$" wtf?? this is BULLSHIT!

  • you can fix it yourself... with a sodier gun, and stuff.. and the right cap... there should be a video on here of how to fix it and which cap to use ect..

  • i found a webite for the fix but youtube is gay as hell and wont let me post the link..just msg me and i will send link

  • hey i need the link. could you please send it to me. thanks

  • I have a different model, but it's because Polaroid uses cheap parts my LCD screen is broken and will turn black immedietly after powering-up. But I have to leave it off for a LONG time for it to work at all.

  • I would try to call polaroid and tell them that your having the problem and that you are thinking about starting a video of your problems, and do that, and possibly talk to a lawyer... this could probably be a class action lawsuit i am sure..

  • You read my mind.

  • i have the same tv but the 32 inch and it stays on the orange light even when i use the tv power button or the remote button is this the same problem that u had

  • read what i wrote to the person above.. i recommend the same to you..

  • I feel for you....I have been trying to get a refund from these people since last November! And I too am promised "call backs" - NONE of which I have recd. They did finally send me a ck for $200 LESS than my recpt - saying the TV had depreciated! I have been fighting with them over that for the past 6 weeks. I would certainly like to know if you EVER get paid ----this company STINKS!

  • because of the youtube videos that i started, i eventually got a call after a week of giving up... from corporate offices.. and they said they would have me a check dropped shipped that day and it would be here over night.. and they had several top execs calling me asking me to remove these videos and ask to make sure i was "happy".. and i told them i didnt want to take the videos down but i would make a 'new' one showing what had happened.. but yea.. i got all monies - warranty cost..

  • That's ridiculous - of course parts are "still available" - I have a bunch of these sets with the same problem...and it costs $5-6 to fix them!! I'm making good money buying these from people that never sent it to a repair shop or got totally bent over by their so-called repair shop that told them it was too costly to repair. It's all bull and it's so pervasive...too bad.

  • You are SOOO correct it is "RIDICULOUS" because the problem with the main board going out in the first place is just a CHEAP 3-5 dollar electrolytic capacitor that was made cheaply over in india or china, which Polaroid probably bought to save money... NEW eventually "honored" their warranty and sent a replacement check i have yet to post another video concluding this story but will soon, i am happy with NEW, i am Happy with Walmart, and I pissed with Polaroid or companies that buy cheap parts!!

  • Why 15 business days if they are open 24 7

  • There contact centers are open 24/7. but the business offices are only open during normal business hours. That was explained as a reason why he had not gotten a call back from a manager.

  • I don't really understand NEW's reasons for having someone wait up to 15 business days for a check to be CUT after they have APPROVED the need for one.. but I have been contacted by SEVERAL high seniority members of National Electronic Warranty's company after this video (and a voicemail i left on the ceo's voicemail) thankfully all is resolved i will be making a final video, and thankfully they are reviewing this to help with future issues.. I purchased a 2nd tv and new N.E.W. Warranty..

  • I dealt with them in the past and I recall it being 15 business days once it's approved for me to get the check, not for it to be cut. It's been a little while since that happened and I could be wrong.
