Question: In M-audio interfaces i've used, there is usually a "MIX" knob, which allows to control the volume of the Instrumental (Sound from PC) and the volume of the Microphone (Volume Into PC) to your headphones. Essentially, when the knob is placed somewhere in the middle, the volume of both sounds are equally balanced in your headphones to hear your self live with the instrumental playing in background. Does this interface allow the same feature? or do i fix the instrument vol through pc?
i just want to use this interface just for headphones monitoring with the possibilite to record voice or guitar but i heard that the headphones amp is't that god so i really need your help becouse this is like my first option for an interface ?
Can you please do a review on how to set it up in Pro Tools 9. In the manual it says something about routing it so you don't hear 2 signals while monitoring. I have this problem and don't know how to over come it.
I just bought this unit, the latency is great at the start but then it changes and there is a HUGE lag!! Any idea on why this is happening?? Need as much help as i can get!! Thanks :)
I also have the focusrite scarlett but for some reason its not picking up my mic & i cant figure out why? I'm using a 1/4"Male to 3-pin XLR Female & when i stick the 1/4 male into the focusrite with my other end into the mic i get nothing no gain light nor any sound from the mic. Im using mixcraft & ableton & nothing but my focusrite is lit up & is working fine! Do i have the wrong mic cable?
Nice review, though Im having a problem with my scarlett 8i6. I use fruity loops and when i plug my bass in, it recognises the scarlett but it only comes out one channel. any help would be appreciated.
@macmixingaudio I fixed it, I chose the input for both the front 2 inputs whereas I should have just selected the mic 1 lol, thanks for the help anyway,

@147147Nick It's completely transparent. honestly, no lag! but that also is dependent on you having a good computer.

I have an Mbox 2, but I want to buy another interface. Is the sound quality of this one similar to the Mbox 2?
Fantasma25 1 month ago
@Fantasma25 the sound quality is superior in my opinion
macmixingaudio 1 month ago
@Fantasma25 furthermore, I think the mbox 1 sounded better than the mbox 2. The Preamps were better.

must i use both in's at the same time? I am only interested in recoding voice and do not plan on recording any instruments.

@0Neutrality0 hmm maybe its a driver issue. thats the only thing i can think of that or you have your outputs setup wrong in FL
