actually it is not. alot of actors and singers (who are want to be taken seriously as actors) do it as it gives you credibility which is why many big names like Usher, Diddy have gone the Broadway route. Problem is it very grueling and Broadway critics and fans are very critical. Beyonce said she wanted to win a Tony, a very hard award for one to get.
