I have a Custom paladin class that could be considered a battlemage aswell. He has heavy armor, destruction for holy smite type spells, blade,block, restoration, alteration, and i think athletics(haven't played in a while). Race was imperial and birthsign was the mage. Great melee fighter and also great spellcaster very versatile and hard to kill.

@SilverNuke101 depends on your fortify magicka IF you have any and your birth sign as well pure INT isnt all good you can do mages guild quests and fortify your magicka and int higher then 100 for more magicka

@zerranterg He picked a High Elf with the Mage Birthsign and the Battlemage class. I have a character exactly the same, tho mine is only level 22 with full Daedric xD

I reccommend making a custom class for your battlemage and picking between Blade or blunt if your not going to use one, i have both blade and blunt because i like abit of variation

I didn't like battlemages in oblivion. I'd played as one in morrowind, and totally loved it. But then in oblivion, with the removal of minor skills, i found they'd completely ruined the class. For me anyway. So it was custom classes from then on :)

Once 20+,quick save before picking up sigil stones and quick load until you recieve fortify 50 magicka! then make fortify intelligence/+willpower and magicka spells at teh arcane university! In the end my character could cast killer spells worth thousands of magicka! :DD
