  • I was stationed in the UK (London)1964-1967 and a just fell in love with Millie.

What a great performer with a great instrument, and man was she ever CALIENTE!

  • Hi, Weightfeather

I don't think Millicent sang Alfie in the movie. Course it was over 4 decades

ago, so I have only a vague memory.

I do remember that the program of Side by Side (Sondheim) said in her

bio. "I never made another movie. No one asked me." Too bad

musicals were out of style when she would have been perfect

    for them.

  • Peter Scolari and Stephanie Zimbialist did a version of this on A&E some years back and it was much better in my opinion.

  • This is my moms cousin, they grew up together in England. Thanks for posting this so my mom can view !

  • i had a boyhood crush on this delcious lady..

  • @custardballs wow youre old as! xD

  • Sorry, this just does not work. None of the poignancy, humour and wit of Newley or Quayle.

  • isn't this the same tune as glorious russian/moscow music?

    :D

  • thats the joke about it i was little little chap in a production of it so i know that thats the joke

  • Millie plays several chraracters.Same basic melody, but different lyrics.I love it.

  • Millicent Martin was in the movie Alfie about 40 years ago. Saw her on stage in Side by Side some

Stop the World had some great songs.
