@ChelsieHx I dont think it said to give it a treat, essentially the idea is to replace the shoe with something appropriate to chew. I did this with my dog, whenever she put her teeth on anything she shouldn't (shoes, chair legs, hands) I'd take it away and give her a rawhide chew. Worked great with her!
